The flavor of the coffee really depends upon the beans you use. You do need to clean this pot after each use. You need to wash and clean all of the Debris out of the grinder and out of the Machine itself. For example clean the debris out of the area where the coffee enters into the basket. Also remember before you brew your coffee fill the corraff with hot water and let it sit a minute, pour it out, and then you're ready to brew!

  • Box was torn, there was a used coffee pod inside the machine. Bought it for a birthday gift, was pretty embarrassed .

  • Water reservoir contained shattered pieces of plastic upon opening. Item was not useable and obviously damaged prior to shipping to me.

Honestly it's more like 3.5 stars but I'm rounding up. Coming from using a 'regular' Keurig machine, here's what is disappointing: I have to turn this machine on every time I want to use it and it takes a bit of time for it to warm up. Not a big deal to everyone but if you make your coffee right before leaving for work, this could delay you a couple minutes. The 'strong option is not as strong as my old machine No free sample cups - there should at least be a handful of dark or espresso roast to play with No more 4 oz cup size - sometimes I want just a little more but 6 oz is too much It seems to be a tad glitchy. Sometimes the frother doesn't do anything when press the button even if it lights up and someone's all the buttons flash but I have no idea why. If this continues to be a problem, I'll have to return it. Stuff I like: Got the 12 oz size back (our last machine only went to 10 oz) I like the strong shot but would like there to be a 4 oz strong shot option The milk frother is fun, though the buttons can be temperamental. I like to put a tablespoon or two of flavored creamer and fill to the line with milk. Very tasty and the foam is fun even if it's not long lasting Coffee comes out hotter than with my last machine, but there's no choice in temp FYI Easy to clean so far Easy to fill the reservoir This machine will not make a real cappuccino or latte, but for a home brew machine it's fine as long as you're not expecting Starbucks. If you like the fancier finish & color (special edition version), Costco got these literally the day after I ordered this one from coffeemakers.us.com. For $10 more you get the special finish and some k-cups, however I don't care about the finish, just the functionality and the free k-cups were not ones that I like or wanted to try so no big loss for me. The biggest advantage in buying there is the extra year warranty. Overall, I'm glad I bought it. Longevity remains to be seen though, fingers crossed.

  • I’ve had 4 different bean-to-cup superautomatic espresso machines and this one is the best, hands down. I do have to keep the manual handy in case I want to make changes to my settings because the symbols are not intuitive for that (only 1 of my previous machines actually had text and a menu instead of hieroglyphics), but for everyday use it’s perfect once you’ve got it all set up the way you like it. I love how compact it is, and the design of each piece. I love that you can remove the drip tray that’s just on the front and brew into a larger cup like a travel mug, and then just snap it back on with magnets. I have no leakage inside the machine to deal with under or behind the grounds container like with another certain Italian brand of machine. I love how easy it is to clean also! It’s quick too, quick to turn on and heat up, quick to produce your drink, and then it’s quiet when it shuts itself off too (without a loud rinse cycle!). I’m glad I decided I didn’t need a frothing wand. I just use a jug-style frother now instead and it’s better because that can work at the same time as the Tchibo does. Overall I’m super happy with my purchase and the great value of this machine! I’ve figured out that my perfect espresso for my latte is the default setting plus the boost button. Definitely needs the boost in the morning!

  • I like that it brews quickly and has a reusable filter and comes with a stainless cup. I have also used it to heat water for tea. It’s very handy, shuts itself off when finished, and easily cleaned.

I absolutely love our BUNN coffee machine! It keeps a reserve of hot water, so when you pour cold water in for your morning fix, it starts brewing instantly! It looks great, works great, and brews an excellent pot of coffee. Read the directions carefully the first time it does t operate like other coffee machines.

This is a great coffee maker! Always bought cheaper ones to save a buck. Not this time. No grounds basket pressure on top of pot so it lifts right out. Brews very fast and is very hot. Carafe has a simple fix to pour evenly without side spills. I am impressed, love it! Looks sleek too.

  • Bought as a gift for my husband. There are definitely smaller devices, but this makes an impressive gift for a cold brew aficionado. It makes great coffee and is easy to clean. Lots of brew options out there and he is enjoying perfecting his brew.

  • I am super disappointed in the lack of quality it’s rusting everywhere

  • I am a little😔 disappointed because if you see the pictures the mug was completely different on the one on the picture I didn't get the right one other than that everything works great

  • Basically what had happened was there is a spring and release that lets the coffee drip down or holds it back, in the event that you take the pot out, so that it doesn't spill. Unfortunately the coffee pot and the part of the pot lid that is supposed to ousb that up and release the coffee? Too short. Instead the coffee fills up in the filter, and rolls over the side, complete with grounds, so you get to chew the excess. This is a backup coffee pot I got to make a joke online and I just needed a small one that operates with an on off power switch to link to a smart plug. So, 2 stars, because the joke was not dependent on me actually enjoying the coffee after. However, for others, I used two heat resistant silicone spatulas (one is a level technically) to prop it just enough to function. So if anyone buys this, assume you have to hold it manually or re-filter your coffee.

This product was obviously very used and never cleaned, nor inspected before it was repackaged and able to be repurchased. Disgusting!

  • I really like this coffee maker. I've had it almost 2 years, and while I don't use it everyday, it is serving me well. I love the reusable filter, the fact that you can make up to 12 cups at once, and the 2 hour hot plate auto turn off feature. I've read some reviews talking about leaking, but I have not experienced this problem. Although, regarding pouring water into the machine, I do think it's easier to pour into the left section rather than the right (video attached, but please excuse the not-yet-emptied used coffee grounds and dripping carafe that I just rinsed 🙃). I also included a photo with an egg carton as a size reference lol. Overall, as a single person who doesn't like complicated appliances, I really like this simple coffee maker. Simple to brew, clean, set the time, keep warm, and is a fair price.

This Krups Simply Brew Coffee Maker does disappoint. Will start with some positive points. Bought because of size. Width under 6" is essential for my space requirement; 5 cups or less is all I need. Initial plastic smell prior to first use was negligible. Negatives: Permanent filter was permanently stained before 1st week of use and very messy with grounds. Brew cycle is hyper-fast, less than 3 minutes and the coffee has very weak and watery taste. Attempted variations: Using paper filter inside permanent filter as well as by itself inside plastic holder; increased coffee quantity to over a third more to see if that would help - it didn't. I've been using drip coffee machines for over 25 years. Never needed to do this before as coffee was always rich and flavorful. Always buy Chock Full O'Nuts or Maxwell House - not a premium purchaser and with the upwards pricing now, using extra coffee is an extravagance I don't want. I let coffee stay warm on plate for about 2 hours after brewing. It requires microwaving to get any heat once you add any milk. Once turned off and the lid is raised, there is a minimum of close to 3 tablespoons of water condensation all through the unit, which sprays outward as soon as lid is opened. The lid has trouble remaining open. It then has to stay that way for at least 12 hours so that beads of moisture might dissipate. Even starting the next morning cycle, the interior still is not completely dry from previous day. I don't need any special effects besides straight brewing. I paid a little extra for this Krups unit, thinking some of the above-mentioned issues might not occur. If only the taste and quality of the coffee was richer, I would keep it, but will be returning.
