I have a full size Nespresso machine that I love but I wanted one for a mini bar in my bedroom since I already have a fridge and a microwave. The color was perfect for my orange themed coffee nook. The machine makes great coffee - can't tell the difference between it and the big machine. A couple of things - it is really noisy - like some said - sounds like a jet engine taking off. The noise has maybe lessened a little since I got it or I've just gotten used to it. If there was someone else in my bedroom, this thing would wake them up for sure but since it's just me, not an issue. It is harder to open it and close it than my big machine and it takes a fair amount of force which ends up moving the machine. To help with that, I put my coffee stand on a silicone mat with a runner on it to cover it up and that helped with it moving around. Overall I'm pleased with it. I took it on a road trip with me for a week's stay at a hotel and it made my stay there much nicer. It's a little heavy so I would not consider it suitcase material but for a car road trip - perfect.
coffeemakers.us.com delivered quickly as usual. Coffee pot came packaged very efficiently and was easy to set the time on, took about 10 minutes to brew the first pot through for initial run. I immediately went for the Cold Brew! I used the spoon that came with the maker and the quick guide as well as one of the paper cone filters that was included to get me started. The maker also includes a much appreciated reusable filter for regular brews, nice value included. Cold brew took right at 14 minutes to brew the largest serving using 25oz of water in the maker. This feature that makes this Braun Coffee maker a versatile addition to our kitchen is already much appreciated from day one. Water flow when brewing seems sufficient and timely. Easy to read instruction that gets you started is perfect, illustrating different amounts of water and Coffee needed for each type of pot you're brewing. I'm sure as with any pot and coffee type you'll adjust to your desired strength and taste but so far, it's great! #Braun #Coldbrew #Coffee #MrsBuchanan22
This is great for making cold brew at home. This is my 3rd one - I like to have a variety in my fridge. Definitely worth it.
I can see this being great for camping because it's lightweight, will be easy to clean, pops up and folds back easily, and has volume markings on the inside of the cup. The mesh at the bottom is a fine layer atop a metal screen, so at first it looks like it won't be fine enough to catch all your grounds but if you look closely you can see the mesh that does the actual screening. It also has a strap so you can hang it to dry after use. The only negatives are the weird hippie colors. There's nothing wrong with the colors but idk, it's not a feature that interests me whatsoever. It also doesn't have any kind of case with it so if you're going to be packing it in your kit or back pack you'll want at a minimum to keep the plastic covering it comes with or to find some sort of baggie to secure it in. For now, I'm leaving it in the bag/box it came in, I'll likely upgrade to a ziplock baggie of some sort eventually though. I can't say how durable it is though. I'll have to use it a while to determine if this has any longevity to it. I'll update my review if there's anything that makes me think this will wear out/tear too easily to recommend for a true camping trip.
The coffee pot is fine. Just don't understand why the glass knob cracked in 4 months. I always use the low setting on the stove, it's never rapidly boiling.
It is a week old and has already fallen apart.
Mmmm. Flavor. I like the look and ease of use. This is the first pod machine I've owned (but not the first I've used), and I love it. I prefer French press coffee and that's what I've been doing for the last 10 years, but this was well worth it! Plus it fits perfectly in my tiny house, not taking up much space at all! I do wish there was a reusable pod option, but the coffee is almost as good as my normal (much more expensive) coffee, and I can make milk based at home without having the extra stuff or bulky machines! Now I just need to figure out which of the coffee options I like best so I can order more!
Cute from a distance, but the opening and the lid don't align... There's a gap, which isn’t good for insulation. The fused edges are rough and the power coating is uneven. To me, this looks like a prototype. This is going back.
Why get a boring chimex when this looks way better and works great! It is easy to use and easy to clean. The glass is light but holds up well with the hot coffee funnelling into it. The size is perfect for that single cup of coffee, a little more if you have a 16oz cup. I would recommend this product.
Great price and it's worth it!! Perfect for the people who don't drink that much coffee but love it. It's easy to clean and lightweight. I love the way the pot is built... it has a super nice look and feel.
I really like this single cup coffee maker. It is replacing an older, much larger one and gives us a little more counter space, which is nice. When I first got this, due to my mistake, I thought something was wrong with the buttons. They would not work no matter how I pushed them. Then I realized my mistake. I was pushing the button too hard and too long. All you do is lightly tap them and they work great. This coffee maker comes with several accessories to be able to brew Keurig cups, regular coffee ground, tea, etc. The only thing we brew is from the Keurig cups, so that is all I was able to test. And it brews a single cup of coffee perfectly. Another thing I like is that you can set it to brew as soon as you turn it on. It will warm up the water, then automatically start brewing when the water is at the right temperature. It is also easy to add water to the water reservoir, which also can be removed for cleaning. This is our new "go to" coffee maker and is highly recommended.
We had to return our first order because there was a line/marr in the carafe that looked like it would lead to a crack farther down the line. I will say the return process was very easy. When we received our second machine, we inspected the carafe very carefully and it was perfect. We then started inspecting the rest of the machine when we noticed the buttons were very different looking from the description on the website and even from the picture on the front of the box (photo above: top, what we received; bottom, picture from box). They were not "true" buttons, but something that you depressed. We thought perhaps there was a film covering them, but that was not the case. They felt very flimsy and looked like future trouble. Just depressing then to try them out just felt "off". We really wanted to like this machine, but we just don't feel that the quality was up to par. If the buttons had been true buttons, as depicted in the photo/website, we would have kept it. We returned it because of that.
I've had this French press for just over a year now here's a quick breakdown of the pros and cons. (TLDR: just buy it) Pros: Makes great coffee NEVER had loose grounds in my coffee Easy to clean (the "beaker" is removable) Measurement marks are still clear after a year of use Surprisingly low price Sturdy construction Stylish design(I love the copper design with the chem lab beaker) Cons: I'll let you know when I find one This French press has been used every day for the past year and the only way I see it breaking is if I drop it. If that happens, I'm ordering another one right away.
Pod on the right is what this machine did. It melted it and poured grounds inside the whole unit. Pod on left is what it looks like coming out of a working coffee brewer. This thing is dangerous.
