Keeps coffee hot for hours. No hot plate to worry about or waste electricity. Compact for dual use. Update: dropping a star, after owning 3 of these pots, all three drip from the seam between the carafe and the plastic. Its minor but annoying when you pour away from the countertop. To also add, my first one overflowed and got into the control panel causing the leds to go wonky. Make sure carafe is empty before starting a new pot, that's on me but the controls should be able to handle an overflow being in such a precarious position under the basket.
THE COLOR!!! First off… Very good feel to the machine, quality touch for sure. It comes with the coffee maker, filter basket, measuring cup, tumbler with a lid and straw, a few iced coffee recipes, and instructions(of course) I have not made coffee yet… but I’m sure it’ll be great! So far, I would recommend!
Before we brought this beautiful coffee maker into the home we just had a regular style coffee brewer that was clunky and older in style. Unlike this model it was not programmable and we could not change the strength on it. I like this coffee maker because it's easy to use, easy to program, it has functions to delay my brew until you would like to have your coffee. It has the warming option and it's absolutely gorgeous besides all that. My favorite part I think would be the reusable filter because I get tired of replacing filters constantly (sometimes they fall over while you're making coffee and you end up with coffee grounds in your cup). Make sure if you buy this that you run hot water through it several times before using so that you won't have a "plastic" taste in your coffee. The carafe is easy grip and holds at least 12 cups. Comes with a small scoop. Pics included.
The coffee maker works as promised with one glaring quality issue. The "permanent filter" basket they provide for coffee grounds had a screen pulled away and frayed near the bottom of one side. This rendered it useless as grounds could escape into the stream of coffee being made. This defect became apparent one week outside the return window, so luckily we had a spare one from an older, obsolete coffee maker. This basket looks and feels inferior. Do not consider the addition of this "permanent filter" basket as a feature - it isn't.
This is a great product. I got this because we camp with large groups and don’t want to fuss with small servings in French press and don’t want to be restricted to placement on a stove. It’s just like making a pot at home.
So I have had this coffee maker for five and a half years. I bought it in Dec 2018. The coffee it makes is great with what comes out of the box. I always did proper descaling and cleaning. I only had one issue and that was the hot plate became pitted and had some rust. Today my coffee maker died. Halfway through a pot it just turned off. the outlet is fine and everything else works in the outlet. The machine will just not turn on anymore. I am really sad that for the cost there is no spare parts for repair available. I would have replaced the hotplate for sure and now what ever is broke in it. For the cost and the fact I didn't use any of the fancy other brew methods I would have gone with a Technivorm Moccamaster. They have a simple repair process that I could have done. If you are not good with electronics and want a bunch of fancy ways to dial in drip coffee then this coffee maker is great. Update. I took it apart out of curiosity if it was something simple. Looks like a fuse melted and burnt a large portion of the board. Sadly this fuse was soldered to the board and many chips behind it died. I'm glad there wasn't a fire.
Outstanding product. Easy to setup. You can have the unit either grind the beans in the hopper or add your own ground coffee in the filter area. You can also control the fineness of the Grind. All of the controls available on the unit are accessible via their app. Loving it!!
It roasts coffee beans very well, unfortunately the top lid cracked and melted after less than 3 months. It still works for now but contacting customer service has been impossible. The email address kicks back as unknown and the chat button is non-existent.
Edited: Two years in and it stopped working. It still boils the water, but it won't pump it up to the cup. Either the thermostat, or the pump, or the logic circuit has crapped out. Either way, I'm not going to waste my time trying to fix it. Wouldn't buy again. That's about the only good thing I can say. The plastic has a lightweight, and overall cheap feel. The fit of the parts, especially the water reservoir lid is poor. It's quite loud, and makes a very loud sound as it nears the end of the brewing cycle (see video). I haven't purchased any other of these, so I can't make comparisons to similar devices in this price range. However, I'm not confident that this is going to last all that long. This does not seem like a durable product. When it comes time to replace it, I'm likely going to spend more.
Programming was easy and it worked well. The coffee just had a plastic taste and left an oily residue on top of the coffee. Also left some kind of sediment in it. I cleaned with vinegar several times but it didn’t seem to help. Went back to a non-programmable Bunn and coffee is fantastic again.
This is the brewing is perfect for my coffee bar and the grinder is built in! The grinder is also adjustable. I also love it's large capacity for water and it has one button press settings for smaller 2-4 cup brewing. There is touch screen with easy settings for the clock and automatic timer. This brewer made the hottest and freshest drip coffee I've had in a long time. The machine is fully loaded and looks so beautiful too with the stainless steel.
Very easy to use and clean
When I ordered this French press I was under the impression that it was going to be larger. The reviews were great so I ordered it and was surprised by the size. It does make a good cup of coffee but the smallest size does not make very much. This photo is the smallest size next to an average sized French press.
Very simple and inexpensive, but it’s gets the job done! Smi many times we find ourselves making a full pot of coffee when we just want a cup or two. This is perfect because you can either use coffee pods or your own ground coffee! It comes with the filter basket that you need to make your favorite coffee every time. Easy to use - one button “BREW”! Can’t beat that! The only part that I missed in the directions is that you have to wait two minutes before brewing a second cup. It won’t actually let you press the BREW bottom until it has cooled down for those couple minutes. Great gift to have on hand or test yourself! As you can see, this one is for me and my coffee bar!
So, once I got the coffee ground/water ratio right, and got the water to the right temp before pouring, it makes a pretty good cup of coffee. Size 2 disposable filters work perfect. I did use the reusable filter that's included and there's nothing wrong with it. It cleaned really good with a little dish soap and water and then I air dried it in the rack. The disposable filter are just easier for me to use. The glass is very thin, so be careful when washing it. It feels like it would be very easy to break. Although I would be hesitant to use this while camping due to the thin glass, the case is very hard and durable giving me a little more faith when traveling with this. I only have one little issue with it. The glass filter holder leans just a little when you put it in the wooden holder. If the opening in the holder was a little bit bigger it would hold the glass filter holder straight up without any problems. Overall, I love it! It works great. I've used it about 10 times now and have had no issues (other than what I described already).
