I’m very pleased With this coffee maker. Due to my health condition with MS and Osteoporosis my mornings becomes very difficult for me to be able to walk at all. Walking to the kitchen has become to be such a challenge for me due to my Illness. So I decided to purchase a single cup coffee maker to put on my night stand for my morning coffee craving. I was contemplating buying a Keurig but its so costly. This was verv reasonable at $29.00 And came fully equipped for coffee to use with kcups or ground coffee they provided everything. Works fabulous! I set it up at night and it’s perfect for my needs. I have a great cup of coffee while doing my morning therapy routine to start my mornings. I might be in chronic pain starting my mornings but having my freshly brewed coffee maker makes it more bearable! Love my Chefman coffee maker.
I love everything about this coffee maker. We’ve had it for over two years now and it has been great. It grinds our beans well and always makes a robust pot of coffee. And it allows us to also have an individual serving of a different style through using the k-cup part of it. It’s my favorite machine in the kitchen!
I enjoy this coffee maker -so much. Switched over from the kcups. I was sick of stale coffee. Decided I wanted to be a coffee snob and drink fresh ground coffee in the mornings. Everyone who I make a cup for comments on how smooth the coffee tastes. I think it has to do with the way the water spreads evenly over the coffee and the copper heating system. I had considered getting a coffee maker with a built in grinder but I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews from different sites, my conclusion was, you either end up with a good coffee maker or a good grinder but never both in one maker. So I ended up buying both separately. My next endeavor was finding the coffee bean I liked best. That was fun, I started off going to local coffee shops and buying beans. Then I stumbled onto a company based out of Tennessee that is veteran owned and gives proceeds from their sales to the troops. “Black Rifle Company” I haven’t tried everything yet, but “coffee or die” is by far my favorite coffee EVER. I tried this coffee in my Keurig for a single cup and their definitely is a difference in taste based on how it’s brewed. This is a great coffee maker. With the money.
Bought this for my husband because his espresso machine broke and he’s used to making his own coffees at home. When I say this man loves espresso..he’ll brew a double espresso a good 4 times a day if not more. I came across this and love that he can brew a little pitcher of espresso that he can chill and use throughout the day instead of having to brew it and chill it multiple times a day. He’s obsessed with it already and will probably get rid of his old espresso machine at this point. The only thing I don’t like is that it sometimes it leaks a little water out into the tray while brewing. We’ve followed the instructions to a T, so not sure what makes it happen, but it’s only a minor inconvenience it seems like.
Coffee maker is good, but the water tank consistently leaks when I refill it and I can’t figure out how to stop it. Obviously a seal is bad.
The display is starting to fail and I've had it less than a month.
I’ve only made a few pots but so far it’s great. I love the copper finish.
The product image for the “gold” French press showed a sort of teal color but what I got is brownish. The lid is completely different and made of mystery plastic. I bought this thinking it was plastic free and since the type of material wasn’t disclosed, I can’t trust that the lid won’t leach anything into my coffee so I removed it. The press plate can be unscrewed from the metal stem, and when I pulled the stem through the lid, the threads scraped out some plastic—soft enough to be easily scraped with metal but not a fingernail. It also came with a soft ring coaster I wasn’t expecting. It might be silicone but the only potentially identifying information it came with was the number 6 (or 9?) on the underside. If those things were misrepresented in the promo images, then I’m lead to second guess the safety of this thing entirely. Maybe thirteen dollars is too good to be true and you get what you pay for.
Why I chose this coffee brewer? I've been trying to get away from my AeroPress which made pretty good coffee but is made of plastic. Plastic (even if it's non-BPA) leaches into the boiling hot water that is needed to make good coffee and it makes me feel unhealthy (though more research may be needed to support my "feeling"). I looked at various options but most of them either had some plastic contact (often with boiling hot water) or had other issues. Moka Express, for example, required heavy pre-cleaning to remove white residue that builds up either due to Aluminum construction or mold during storage. French press is great but it requires patience if you want to drink silt-free coffee. And, I like coffee that has been paper-filtered to remove the oils. So, I just about settled for pour over coffee and was about to buy a Chemex glass carafe until I discovered the Fellow Stagg pour-over brewer. I liked that Fellow Stagg XF claimed to be less tedious than a traditional, conical pour-over design. And, the Fellow Stagg dripper was metal instead of plastic. Brewing experience & cleanup I was pleasantly surprised that the construction quality was top notch. Everything from the ratio aid to the glass jug fits nicely with each other. The cleanup was fast too. The coffee filter stores all the wet, used coffee grinds so you can simply pick it up and throw it in the trash. The coffee filter paper is strong enough to support the wet coffee grinds without breaking and it usually doesn't drip when you're moving it from the dripper to the trash bin. The jug can handle hot coffee nicely. The outside of the jug does get warm but I was able to hold it without oven mitts and pour the brewed coffee into a cup. The glass jug cleans up nicely too even after you let it sit for a while. The metal components just need a rinse if you don't let them sit. The storage is nice and compact because the ratio aid and funnel attach into the dripper and you can put plastic wrapped paper filters into the dripper. Pro tip: buy a gooseneck, fast-boiling kettle that has a temperature gauge. Once you use it, you'll love the precision and it'll make for better coffee every time. Coffee quality The coffee I made was very good and nearly perfect. I like hot drip coffee and this made the best one I've made for myself beating my AeroPress. Some issues 1. The glass jug is deceptively huge! While the measurement says 20oz, the jug can actually hold much more than that. 20oz is near the middle of the jug. The measurements differ wildly for different coffee brewers. In comparison to some other coffee brewers (such as MokaExpress or French press), when Fellow says 20oz, it means way more than 20oz. In hindsight, I should've bought the smaller (10oz version) because I was looking to brew only one cup of coffee at a time. 2. The brewed coffee does not stay hot for long. Even though the glass jug comes with a Silicone gasket, it doesn't keep the coffee hot for more than 5 mins. I recommend brewing just enough so you don't have any left in the glass jug to get cold. 3. The outer surface of the dripper and ratio aid has an annoying texture. This is obviously a minor nitpicking point. The pictures and videos online appear to show a smooth shiny surface which would be pleasant to hold but not so. The outer surface is rough and weird as if someone designed it to be unpleasant, texturally speaking. 4. I expect that the double-wall glass jug, by the nature of it's construction, is going weak on the inside. This means exposing the insides to quick temperature differences or dropping a heavy ice cube would probably break it quick. This is something to be careful about. Overall, I think this is a decent investment in coffee if you like good drip/pour-over coffee that is not a hassle to make or clean up after. And, the best part is the lack of plastic touching boiling water.
I really like this little coffeemaker. I'm the only person in the house that drinks coffee, so it's perfect for me. When inserting the coffee filter, I've found that especially when you get near the end of a pack of filters it gets difficult to insert the filter without it wrinkling and risking folding over during operation, causing grounds to enter the pot. Here's what I found: I use an empty can (the size most vegetables come in, not a condensed soup can). Simply put the filter on top of the filter holder and press it down with the can. Works perfectly, even with the last few filters in the stack.
Note: a regular size tumbler will not fit, see my pics, hopefully this helps someone because I looked for this info in the reviews. However, I STILL LOVE THIS MACHINE. My last K machine just quit at less than a year old, and it never really worked right, and this was the second one i had issues with, I decided to try something different. I love this machine.. there is no wait time to heat up the water, press the button and your cup is ready. So far, all pods I’ve tried worked. I have left the basket in under the k cup adapter and have not had one issue with splattering coffee or grounds in my cup. If you use this correctly it will work flawlessly!
Great coffee machine, but the button labels wore off in under a month with normal use by a two person household.
The Keurig fits perfectly on our kitchen counter. The cord is quite long but not in the way of other things. I love the iced function as I can now make my own iced coffee every morning from home! Honestly it makes the perfect cup in either a 12, 10 or 8 oz size. I have tried all three sizes and every cup is wonderful. I am extremely happy with the color of the Keurig as well! I have already gotten compliments from my friends. Hands down would recommend to anyone because it is so easy to use and enjoy!
It just sprayed hot coffee on my husband …. And all over the kitchen! I do t know if he is doing something wrong but this shouldnt be possible .
Love this whole set! The filter does not require a paper filter and all the parts are super easy to clean and easy to use! Looks beautiful too!
