  • The design is compact. It doesn't take much space at all. Just perfect. I highly recommend the strong Browing feature. It adds to the great delicious taste . Love it

  • So depressing. I had a house full guests and needed the coffee maker, when this finally arrived. I am assuming the delay was because of the weather. The coffee maker does not work! It was in a large box with other items and the shipping box and other items had no damage. I think it must have been a return because the original product box has major water damage and was clearly opened and used before it was delivered. Quality control was seriously lacking.

I LOVE the looks of the Stelton. I have a couple other pour over coffee makers, and this will be the one I get out for company. The ceramic material of the base is thick enough to keep the coffee warm for a little while, but its thermal qualities aren't as good as a double walled presspot (Like a Frieling). But that's a nit. So is the fact that the rubber grip isn't quite thick enough to keep you from moving quickly once you grab the caraffe, after it' full of hot coffee. Not that you'd get a burn, but it DO get toasty! I think the instructions call for a #2 paper filter, but in reality - a #2 doesn't fit well...and a regular drip coffee maker filter fits better. (Yah, another nit) Last nit... The wooden "stopper" thing is mostly for looks. It doesn't seal anything, and even when you turn the flat part of the stopper toward the back of the caraffe to keep the heat in...there is a pretty significant gap that steam still comes out of...probably allowing the coffee to get cooler, faster than it needs to.

  • Complete disaster! No matter what I did I could not get a cup of coffee that was not full of grounds and did not get grounds all over the inside of the coffee maker. The photos show coffee made following the exact directions provided by Braun. A full Carafe is supposed to be made with 10 of the Braun big scoops. (A big scoop is more than a heaping Tablespoon the small scoop is a heaping Tablespoon) The above photos shows what happens if you use what they tell you to use. The machine can not handle the amount of water put on the that many grounds and the water backs up and overflows the paper filter. I even tried just using the included filter basket and grounds were still everywhere. ALSO once the coffee maker gives the finished tone that the coffee is done it took 30 more minutes for the coffee to stop dripping from the maker into the pot. 30 MINUTES! YES you read that right 30 MINUTES. Other things I don't like other than not being able to drink coffee and having to do a major clean up after every pot... 1. You can not turn off the finished notification tone so if your bedroom is close to the kitchen be prepared for it to act like an alarm clock and wake up the house. (Then wait 30 minutes for it to stop dripping) 2. You can not turn the hot plate back on to rewarm the coffee after it takes 30 minutes to finish brewing and the auto heat will turn off in another half hour. 3. Clean button is way too close to the power button. I can see why that complaint is listed many times. 4. The cup size on this is 5 oz. but when you actually brew a 5 oz cup you only get 3 oz in your cup. A 8 oz cup gave you 5 oz and the 12 oz gave you 9 oz. Even waiting the 30 minutes a full carafe was only to the 8 cup mark on the carafe. I get that you lose some water to steam but this was ridiculous. 3 oz of coffee is hardly a swallow. Why bother offering it? 5. I do wonder if the finer grind of American brands of coffee might be part of the problem and the machine puts out water faster than it can drain through the American style grounds????? I spent all day yesterday making cup after cup after pot after pot trying to see what was going on and if I was doing something wrong. I eventually tried just reducing the amount of coffee for the carafe but in order to not have grounds everywhere I had to have brown water rather than drinkable coffee. So disappointed. I was so sure Braun would do coffee right that I did not read the reviews of this maker. Bad idea.

I just received my machine today and followed directions to prepare machine for 1st use. The first option I tried was ground coffee. After it was done, I wanted to remove filter and clean it. I did not expect, that the compartment would need cleaning too. Coffee was on top of the filter cup, coffee splatter was all over the inside of the compartment. See picture attached. I cleaned the top portion before I decided to take the picture. But trust me, the splatter was all over including the crevices. I emailed their support to see if this is a defect or regular occurence. Note... I do not see a max line in the filter but I believe I did not overfill the ground coffee. The grounds level was visible from the outside. Meaning I did not go pass the black top border. I cannot provide a review on the use of kpods or tea as I will wait until I get response from the company. In case it was user-error. My first impression- it worked fine to brew coffee but cleaning the machine after each use will take so much time in the morning while I'm trying to get out the door for work. Yes, I cannot leave a mess until later..that of course is my problem;) Their support emailed me back and suggested to try it again, making sure ground coffee was not at max line. This is the result of my 2nd try. Last picture is of coffee filter removed from basket. Still need to do clean up. Not a grab & go for me.

Stopped working 7 months after purchase. Descale light came on and after all the magic incantations required by YouTube videos --Keurig printed instructions are a joke -- it simply won't do anything. No power indicated. This has been a frustrating machine from the start...quirky operations and maddening instructions. Made decent coffee when it worked. I bought a Cuisenart on coffeemakers.us.com. Should be here tomorrow.

I cannot say enough good things about this coffee brewer. First of all (and most importantly) it makes an excellent cup of coffee! No electricity. No timing issues normally associated with pour over coffee makers. Don't get me wrong. I still love my pour over brew, but let's be honest, sometimes, you just don't feel up to the whole "ritual" of pour over. In the morning, I just need some good tasting 'Joe" that is easy and quick. Put in a filter. Add your grounds. Place the top water bin portion over the top. Place the whole thing on top of your mug. Remove the top lid and add the correct amount of water for your cup (8oz, 10oz, or 12oz) and then sit back and relax while this does the rest. My helpful hint if you want to make the coffee to taste even better... 1. About a minute after you pour in the hot water, pick up your mug and the whole contraption together and move it in a small "swirling" motion for 3 or 4 swirls. Then, put it back down and let it finish brewing. If you do this, it will distribute the coffee more evenly in the filter and make for a better tasting final cup. Try it and see if you don't agree. This is my go to brewer for my morning coffee now. I just love it's ease of use and the results are undeniable.

  • This is a great cold brew coffee maker. It came with all the O rings in place and a bag of extra once. I didn't expect that. To me the instructions/pamphlet that came with the brewer was really helpful. It gives well instructions and also well detailed information of the brewer from names of parts and how they are put together to size of O rings. Feels and looks well built. I had no leaks from the n2o cartridge when installed. This is a solid brewer. I did make my own cold coffee for 24hrs to be used with this n2o brewer and it came out great. I'm loving this n2o brewer. I'm not going back to regular hot coffee. the tast is way better. I want to find something negative but I just don't see anytime negative. solid 5 stars.

I bought this after having experienced 12-cup thermal-carafe coffee makers at two of my stepkids' homes. The ability to not have a glass carafe, and have hot coffee for my typical consumption of the full 12 cups, over a typical ~2-hour period, without having to worry about scorching the coffee appealed to me greatly. Both of those households liked their coffee considerably stronger than I, and so very fully filled their (in both cases) gold-mesh filters, one each round and cone style. So it was with considerable surprise that my 4-heaping-tablespoon-scoops coffee load (first picture) resulted in: Every single time, my brew basket came out looking like the second or third picture. I brewed every single day I owned this machine (returning it for refund on the last possible day, 34 pots later). Never was there no grounds in the basket. Sometimes a few, and ... Sometimes a lot, resulting in the top of the carafe looking like the 4th picture. I can't imagine what the outcome of putting in 12 tablespoons (nominally at least twice the load of my heaping tablespoon-scoop) would have been. Never was any potful free of drips. Sometimes, a LOT of drips. The most egregious of them looked like the last two pictures. It got to the point where I was NEVER without a folded paper towel next to my mug in order to catch the drips. I did everything I could think of to eliminate the drips. Tilt the pot, and THEN push the pouring seal. Push the pouring seal and THEN pour. Scrub the gasket between the top and the pot, and the gasket between the on/off pouring seal. The best I ever achieved was a few drips down the front of the pot. The worst is in the pictures. That's all the negative stuff. The coffee was great. The pot, lid, and basket were easy to clean. If I didn't mind the occasional instance of grounds in my coffee, or having to clean up every single time I brewed, sometimes several times in the 4 pours (my mug is a full pint, also insulated), the inevitable drips, I likely would have kept it, as the coffee was fine. A minor nuisance was that the water tank was a bit difficult to fill accurately without paying very strict attention, as the spray unit divided the width exactly in half, making a relatively small target for the full carafe. As I followed the recommendation of the owner's manual and preheated the carafe before brewing, I never actually used the preset/overnight-ready setup; in fact, I stowed it in the cabinet directly over where I brewed, so it always displayed a flashing 12:00 - but I expect it would have worked as intended. I (obviously) have no idea why the carafe leaked or whatever-other-mechanism caused my drip issues. But I'm certain I could not have improved the coffee grounds issue, given my care in leveling my load, and the fact that it was perhaps a third of the normal load for the 12-cup brew I did each time. The only way I can conceive for that failure is that the drain wasn't sufficiently large. I admit that, not having had an endoscope to sneak in during brewing I never got to see the effects of the multi-directional spray bar; I'd thought it a fantastic idea and it was one of the reasons I purchased this model. It may have been that the pressure was a bit too much and caused splashing of the grounds, but the very even level of the empty-of-water basket suggests otherwise, and that it simply overflowed the filter paper. One other niggle. As you can see, I have a wide-bottomed insulated mug. It's a leftover from my 15 years of cruising on a sailboat. So old that it's unobtanium now, and I've made it safe to use with an electrical tie reinforcement to the handle. But I digress... The subject pot gave me 4 cupfuls - the usual "12 cups" - if you count leaving a half-inch or so space at the top on each fill. So, this carafe, spiller though it was, wouldn't deliver a full 12 cups, despite my filling it to the brim, and being rewarded, most times, with spillover (overfill as far as this one's water reservoir was concerned). For whatever it's worth, coffeemakers.us.com immediately refunded my purchase, for which I had already used up the credit to my 'wallet' by ordering the other version I'd considered when ordering this one. It's the very similar-looking https://www.coffeemakers.us.com.com/dp/B0C2JK9Y8V - which I've used several times since my return of the subject unit, and found the resulting coffee grounds' level as expected, which is to say the dark line went only about halfway up the edge. And furthermore, it delivers an honest 12 cups - 4 fills of my ancient mug, with only space enough left to put on the sipper, no-spill lid - every time. And the water reservoir fill opening is massive by comparison. If you're considering the two, I'd definitely recommend the link immediately above, and give THIS one a pass.

  • Decent looking gift box! Very well made product. You will feel the quality when you have your hands on. I strongly recommend leave it in fridge for at least 3 - 5 hours when you try to make perfect tasting ice coffee.

  • Had to try something different and this will definitely work. Can fit larger than average coffee cup, just has to be wider, not taller. If you’re tired of coffee being wasted due to larger 5-12 cup coffee makers, this will work great. No coffee filters needed, single serve. Will take longer to make as hot water coming out comes in drip as opposed to long stream but for the price and always having a fresh cup due to small, compact size of the maker, I really like this product.

Well as i said it is a great coffe maker BUT the top doesn't close all the way. There is 1/4 inch gap in the front area of the lid. I got this to replace my 20 plus year old mr coffee maker as the light started to flicker telling me something may be going on. maybe i can take the guts out this and put it into the old maker. WOW wouldn't that be nice..

  • First one had a problem but it was quickly and graciously replaced. Very cute and makes precisely one cup which is what I like.

  • Great product - but the heat chattered the glass :(

I prefer a ceramic pour over to a metal filter pour over, and this did not disappoint. The hole at the bottom of the pour over was the perfect size to allow the water through the filter and into the cup. The white porcelain is beautiful, but I was a little worried it would be stained by the coffee. This may still be true over time, but I’ve made 2 cups with it so far and I included pictures above of how it looks immediately after the filter is removed, and then right after rinsed with water. There is no stain or discoloration, it’s still as white as when it came out of the box. Overall, I would highly recommend, love this!
