Tiny and compact. My husband doesn't like coffee so I don't need a large coffee maker taking up a bunch of space. Japanese version of one I used to have, so I understand how to use it, despite the instructions and controls being in Japanese. Grinds whole bean and brews all in one. Option for ground coffee as well. I love it!
I'm very satisfied with the product. I ordered filters not realizing this came where they reusable filter, which is really handy!
It turned out to be a pretty decent coffee maker. The only reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars is I think it doesn't get hot enough for my taste. Others may disagree but I like my coffee to start hot and stay hot! I included pictures from a few days of use. Pardon the well water spots. It does brew a flavorful cup of joe! Pros: I like the swing-out filter. It operates smoothly. It comes with a permanent filter, but you can remove it and use regular cone filters in the bottom coffee basket. The display is clear and bright even during the day with bright light. The flip-front fill chamber is convenient and easy to fill. It has regular and bold coffee settings, plus a 1-4 cup option. Brews fairly quickly plus it has the pause and serve function. The thermal carafe doesn't leak everywhere when you pour coffee like the carafes I've had in the past. The carafe keeps the coffee warm for at least 4 hours. The fill window is easy to see. It has a sleek design, is not too big or obstrusive. It has a water filter for better tasting coffee. Cons: I'm not sure if I like the permanent filter. It is hard to get the grounds emptied, My personal preference, but I think the coffe could be brewed a little hotter. It has rubber feet on the bottom that make it a little difficult to slide out from under the cabinets. The water filter holder is hard to get in and out but I have fairly large hands. Only comes with one water filter. I will post more after using awhile.
Wow, This Coffee Maker is Amazing, Beautiful, Excellent, and the Coffee taste even Better. I got this on coffeemakers.us.com Prime Day 07112023 as it may appear pricey at first glance. However if you like real tasty coffee, then this is an investment towards your taste and enjoyment. If you get a coffee takeout from a popular coffee house at let's say $5 a shot and do that five days a week, you can get the same payback after about four months of use. If you amortize that over the five year warranty period, then it is not that pricey. The 32 oz Carafe keeps the coffee hot and warm enough, when it gets cold ( if I don't finish it) then I can make ice coffee. It will do amazing stuff to your medium ground coffee. I have a burr grinder on order and that will probably be next level. This Moccamaster is handmade in the Netherlands since the 1960's and has a repair, parts, and sales located in Oregon, USA. With a five year warranty for new items, and available replacement parts (you can even send back the unit for repairs if needed). The enjoyment of good coffee and supporting a reputable product with hand made/assembled products is doubly satisfying. Don't be fooled by less expensive looking imitations. The legacy, reputation, and support of this product is (t) here. So do your part if you Love coffee, and try this MoccaMaster. I believe that you will experience drinking good coffee at home or the office just like you did when you tried a cup of coffee that you enjoyed the very first time. I am a paying customer and have no affiliation with the product or company. I do recognize good taste in the coffee and the craftsmanship of this brewer. I got the KTBS model as I only brew for one or two at home, and this unit fits nicely under my kitchen cabinets. There is a supplied 32 oz Stainless steel Carafe that is dedicated solely to this coffee maker. It appears that you could use other short carafes to have your fresh coffee brew trickle into. If you do half the water at 16oz you probably could use a short coffee mug. Amazingly it does not vent the water steams too visibly above to my kitchen cabinets. I also like the copper metal heating element as I believe that this is safer to your health than aluminum water heaters. Enjoy Good Health, and a Good Life filled to the brim with coffee enjoyment. Aloha.
Update, 5 years later! Nothing has changed, it's still the best press ever, no replacement parts needed or anything, used everyday.... Worth every penny. I'd buy again, but I think this thing is indestructible, seriously. I have used Bodum presses for years and had a couple beakers break on me so I decided to give the Frieling a whirl. After taking it out of the package I immediately knew I would love this press. It has NO plastic on it for one, and it has a solid feel. My only complaint is that the one I received was made in China (says Made in the P.R.C for Frieling). This is a high quality product all the same. One thing I have had to get used to is not filling it all the way up with water right away or the hot coffee grounds and water spit out of the spout, I just don't fill it all the way up until I have pressed the plunger down a bit. One big bonus for me is the mesh is not sharp, I don't know if I am accident prone or not but I always stabbed my fingers while washing the Bodum mesh layer, theirs is frayed on the edges and the metal always seemed to poke me. I included a picture of the mesh edge on the Frieling above. Another thing to mention, but was not a deal breaker for me at all, is that it really doesn't keep your coffee hot, hotter than a glass beaker but not much. I still pour the coffee in a thermos to keep it piping hot.
Update: Called Cuisinart just to see if this was a common problem- they are shipping me a brand new coffee maker-now that's what you call good customer service!!! 6 months later- I still love my coffee maker but for some reason of the lettering and numbers on the buttons has disappeared, I've never had this happen before. This is probably the 4th coffee brewer I have tried in 6 months- I've had a MR.Coffee for years that did just fine but after so many uses it seemed I needed a new brewer. This is the first one that I have been pleased with- others felt cheaply made with flimsy plastic and the ones with no heat pad and a thermal carafe- never kept my coffee hot-I hated that I had to nuke my coffee to get it drinkable. This machine has a heating pad where the heat can be adjusted, L M or H-brews a great cup of coffee and hot! Highly recommend this machine!
Good while it lasted which was about two months. The prongs on the lid compressed after three days so the lid wouldn't stay on or perk correctly. Easily fixed by gently bending the prongs out. However, the metal is so weak, it eventually snapped. Plus, the small depression at the bottom is rusting. Overall, I regret not returning this in the first month. It was overpriced too. Very disappointed.
Fun and easy to use! Makes delicious coffee. I bought the 34 oz and wish I had gotten the bigger one though. This says medium sized, but for reference it will fill a 20 oz Yeti and a 12 oz coffee mug (enough for my husband and I in the morning). If you drink multiple cups or have friends or family over, I would definitely invest in the 50 oz.
This is first Mr. coffee I bought it’s water reservoir lid yellow hung deformed for mr coffee 12 cup bvmc-lmx120-a. Coffee maker lid would not close. Looking for replacement from manufacturers but unable to contact them. Multiple contact tries failed. Now posting this so anyone of them read and see. May be send me replacement
Just opened and used for the very first time only to find these issues while washing it up. I worry water is going to get in between the two layers that provide insulation since it appears there are chips and breaks in the seams.
Makes the best flavored coffee in 3 mins. I only buy Bunn coffee makers, my old one lasted 6 years!
I put the spout in exactly as described in the instructions and it leaks. I literally have a cup below the spout in the fridge to catch the leaking coffee. I wouldn't recommend this product.
I am spanish dominican we make our coffee strong in regular cafera but this tiny and coffe make and dont need white paper coffee to colar or string or noun the coffe and coffe come out exactly the way a like all depends of how much coffee and water you used. This are faboulous for my airbnb I tyni houses and i need all my electronic items tyni to have enought space , i recomend this coffee make and is square and dont take to much space I am giving this a 5 start and also come an difrent colors
Its not a k cup but this is what I wanted. I can make a single serve cup of coffee with any flavor of our coffee that I want. It is fast and brews a good hot cup.
For a mini coffee pot its okay, the coffee splashes little spots all around the machine. Also, if you overfill the grounds to make stronger coffee, you're going to end up cleaning the spout. It will have chunks of wet ground on it. I feel like the coffee could be hotter but its still pretty tasty, the machine is compact, and can adjust the ground per taste.
