This is a very cute gold ole coffee maker. It is well made and looks amazing on the kitchen counter. The o ly downside is the size, it is a little small and can hardly make than two coffee cups. Otherwise it is great
This is a good setup for making cold brew coffee. I think the most important feature when making cold brew is how tight/fine mesh the filter is for holding the grounds. This one does not disappoint - its very fine filter, which means you don't have grounds getting through, or even fine particulate. It does a great job of just making the cold brew, and no residual left over in the bottom of the glass (ok maybe a tiny bit, but that's normal for cold brew). Its really a good filter. The system itself includes 2 glass jars so you can keep on making cold brew; use one while the other one is sitting making cold brew. This is convenient if you drink a lot of cold brew in a 24-hour period, you can make the next batch while enjoying current one. Really no issues with this product at all. Cleaning is easy. The one thing is that cold brew often requires more coffee grounds than brewing hot coffee. So if you are new to cold brew, or want to make stronger cold brew extract (to mix with milk/cream), you may be surprised how much coffee grounds you will be using. It can be a lot more than hot brew. But this is more about how strong you like your coffee, and not a bad feature of this set. In addition, they even feature a mark line on the filter as to how far up you should fill it for cold brew concentrate. I used to use a teaspoon to measure, but with this set, I can just fill it up to the line they have marked. Its quite easy to use. Enjoy!
My husband and I ordered the Asobu Coldbrew after a fellow coffee-loving friend raved about it and recommended we order. Yesterday, it arrived from coffeemakers.us.com and we immediately filled it up with coffee to sit overnight. When we woke up this morning, we poured two coffees and are in LOVE. So tasty! It's easy to use and clean, too. We can't wait to try different types and flavors of coffee in it. The portable will container will be great for sitting on our patio with in this summer and bringing over to friends' for daytime parties. We also love how its compact and won't take up much space in our small apartment kitchen. We read in a review that you can make cold brew tea with this too, so we definitely will be trying that out as well! We highly recommend the Asobu Coldbrew!
This paperless brewing kit helps make a great batch of coffee. I tested this with freshly ground coffee, with a grind setting close to what I would normally use for standard drip coffee. A circular pour over technique was used with water fresh off a boil. The rate of flow is a little higher than what is typically found with paper filters, so if under extracting happens (imparts a sour note) a finer grind should be used. My brew time was roughly around one and a half minutes which is quicker than a typical pour over where three minutes seems to be a good range, however the result coffee was very flavorful and well balanced. Overall this kit is well made. The glass carafe very attractive. The handle is attached well as if this was created as one piece, and overall shape and weight of the carafe is good. It is about half the size of a typical coffee pot for reference, or about double the size of a typical coffee mug. The glass is tempered however it does seem a little thinner than a typical brewing glass, so caution should be used with shocking it directly with hot liquid. The manual also states to not put boiling water directly into it or put it on a heat source for this reason. The brewing cone is also well made with a very finely perforated metal mesh. Brewing with this cone produced a very clean brew with no noticeable particulates making its way into the final result. Additionally, there is a metal lid for the carafe with three flexible flanges to hold it in place. I found it best to make sure one of the flanges is at the spout as it does put some outward pressure on the upper ring of the carafe otherwise which I feel is probably not good for it, being thin tempered glass. Overall, I am very happy to have this as part of my coffee brewing "lab" as it fills a role for certain types of coffee that flourish with a pour over method. The kit is well made, and easy to clean. I do feel the inclusion of a small brush for the cone portion would elevate this kit a little, as disposing of grounds without washing any down a sink drain can be a little tricky without one. On the positive side, I have not experienced any gaps or folds with the brewing cone that trap coffee grounds, so cleaning is very simple and straight forward. After using this product, I highly recommend it a perfect companion to anyone's brew station.
KAFFE makes this perfect drip coffee maker for small spaces, your office, travel or just because someone dropped over and you want to make more than just a cup for yourself. It's mostly made of plastic but it has stainless trim which makes it look quite nice sitting on your countertop. It has a removable mesh basket filter which can be put in the dishwasher or you can use a number #2 cone filter if you prefer. The carafe has a 5 cup capacity and is marked with the cup sizes. It comes with a measuring scoop for coffee. I didn't get this for daily use, but I've been using it daily with good quality, medium roast, finely ground whole beans because the coffee brews quickly and tastes great. This coffee maker doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, but it does have a pause and pour function so you can grab your first cup before its done brewing, and a warming plate to keep the coffee hot. Pretty much all you need for a quick cup at home. It's really well made and better than I was expecting at this price point.
My husband is the big coffee drinker. He loves it. Very easy to use, I love the look of it. It takes about 8 minutes to brew. Very easy to clean. I think the quality is great.
I bought two of these, one for myself and one for my son. Both pots splash so much when the coffee is being brewed that it on the front of my coffee bar/cabinet. Very disappointed in that. Other than that, it's a great pot, with several options and sizes. It takes both K-cups and original Nespresso coffee pods, with a bold button to use on both. It also has several size options on both. I like the pot so much that I took and empty cardboard cylinder and made a splash sleeve to use around the cup when brewing coffee. I would have given it five stars had it not been for the splashing. The only thing that would prevent it would be to use a mug that is so tall that it takes up the space between the cup and spout....ugh
Easy to use, and compact device for making NS capsule espresso. Trying a variety of capsules to see which ones I like but so far, enjoying the process and the fact what I can pack this to-go. Can’t wait to take it camping, traveling, to work etc.
When I first opened the package and opened the plastic bag, it was a bit dirty around the top where you screw it on. I made sure to wash every piece. Added filtered water and then separately I added the ground coffee (it says measure 2 cups- approx 170 grams) but I added the last of my ground coffee from the bag which was about half of the bottom part where the black horizontal line goes around the filter. Then I screw the extender on then added it inside the pitcher and screwed it on again. Nothing was broken or missing. It did come with a user guide with three recipes. The lid does seal the coffee from leaking and it works for both hot and cold temperatures. Do not add instant coffee bc it dissolves and it beats the purpose of the filter. Do not freeze or microwave the pitcher. Other than that, I am satisfied with my pitcher. It was the 2Q 1.8L. Also, make sure you have a fridge with the hight of the pitcher bc it is long. The 2 arrows on the lid handle is where the coffee is supposed to pour. So you have to unscrew the lid as if you were taking it off but not completely land on an arrow. Make sure the lid is still on. Then pour and close the lid again.
Well I loved the coffee pot at first - I like that the coffee is hotter than my older model keurig & really liked the color display but right away it started having issues with the display and the display every couple days just is screwed up. I got it before having surgery and was really not planning on having to try to deal with boxing it up & returning it & I got rid of my old Keurig. So I’m pissed
This cup is amazing. Glad I spent the money on the best one I could find. I made coffee in the cup 2 hours ago. And my coffee is still hot like it just came out of the kettle 2 hours later. Coffee flavor is great. Would 100% recommend.
Nice idea and works OK for the price. Only issue is it drips from the button part of the machine after using it a few times. It has a little well that catches the coffee drips but it's a little annoying to clean up after every use. Coffee tastes good and the machine is very easy to use otherwise. Still would recommend for the price.
This tea maker was sent to me by my daughter. My initial thought was it’s hideous looking. I’m not into the color at all. Then I pulled it out of the box and I’m worried about using it because the plastic is so thin. Very cheaply made. Worried it may melt if it gets hot. Honestly, I don’t have any intentions on using this product and I’m going to try to get her to return it. I’m not impressed by it at all.
Great idea. I only used maybe a 2 months before it broke. I am now just reusing Nescafe jar to make my cold brew coffee
The teapot is excellent. It looks nice, has a comfortable handle and heats quickly. I like the gooseneck spout. It makes it easy to fill the coffee press. Generally, I really like Bodum products, especially their dual walled, glass coffee cups. There is nothing functionally wrong with this coffee press but what was annoying for me what that there was no indication on the top where the open spout is. I used a Sharpie to line up the opening when I want to pour the coffee. I would have thought that would be a no-brainer to emboss an arrow in the metal lid.
