I love the fellow coffee maker it the best to have in my kitchen I can make my coffee the night before and get up pour my coffee and walk out the door.
It was filthy. Coffee grinds all around it and inside where you put pod.
After several month using, a clean sigh on it and stop working, it’s useless except the carafe.
I've been using the Frieling Double Wall Stainless Steel french press for ten months now. I bought it after breaking a glass press. The Frieling makes good coffee, disassembles easily for cleaning, looks nice, and just feels good. It's heavier than the usual glass french presses, but, to me, that just makes it feel solid. One difference that may matter to some people is that it has two filter screens and needs to be disassembled for cleaning on occasion. Disassembly and reassembly is easier than it looks. I typically do a full clean once or twice a week. I've attached a picture of the disassembled press.
This coffee maker has the gold certification and gold filter and it’s a cert you can taste. The coffee is very good from this machine. For cold brew mode you use a paper filter and this produces strong coffee. I did all my testing with Stumptoen Founders ground fine. Clock was easy to set. Was easy to operate and clean. Looks good with buttons lit up. And I also do love the make coffee over ice mode. Although personally I make hot coffee, pour it in one of those cooling frozen containers then put over ice to not melt the ice. Now sometimes the on button on mine was a little finicky to turn on but in the end it all works. My only suggestion other than improving the button touch and action is the carafe IS on the LEFT. If you’re left handed you’ll love this. But for right handsets it seems like it’s on the wrong side as you have to reach across it to grab it. Last thing to say is this is very well made and holds a ton of coffee. And it has a bright red light warning you if it’s still hot. Very thoughtful feature.
I am far from a Espresso Maker Expert which I think makes my opinion relevant. We have limited counter space and the size of the Mixpresso fits right in, it is attractive in appearance and we enjoy experimenting with a variety of coffee so the pod type of machine was not an option. We have used the Mixpresso for about 20 days and as yet not experienced any problems. Some of the reviews complain about a small amount of water left in the filter cup with the grounds after the process is completed. This is not an issue with us, the amount of the water is minimal, the filter is removable and emptied without spilling any of the contents, the holes in the bottom the filter cup have to be so small that I doubt if any of the machines don't leave a little water with the grounds once the pressure is stopped and the process is complete . I would like to buy more Double Drawer Filter Cups for convince when serving more cups to guests.
This did not fit a standard coffee maker. It was way too big. The worst part is, the print was terribly pixelated. I was surprised they would even sell anything like this to the public. I quickly returned it. Save yourself some time and money, do not buy.
I got the model with the stainless carafe. The stainless carafe is an expensive option, but has multiple benefits. The most obvious benefit of the carafe is that it keeps your coffee warm. They say it keeps your coffee warm for 2 hours, but frankly this is a bit of an underestimate. It's still hot (eg, drinkable) 2 hours later, but it keeps it warm pretty much all day. The carafe is also great at keeping coffee cold. I like iced coffee, and you can keep your coffee iced cold all day by adding ice cubes or by putting the carafe in the fridge for a few hours. I recommend letting it cool down before adding ice. The third significant advantage to the stainless carafe is that it doesn't break. We've have to replace our glass carafe a couple times, but this stainless carafe can be dropped and abused without breaking. The stainless carafe does have a few disadvantages. You cannot see what it inside - how much (if any) is left. There have been a few times we thought it was empty, and in fact it had a little bit on the bottom and was breeding mold. Also the stainless is a little more difficult to clean out. There's a little lip on the inside of the carafe that is difficult to clean. It is dishwasher safe, though. Beyond the carafe, this is a smart little coffee maker. It comes with a rinseable, reusable filter, which is thoughtful. I do use these, but they also result in a little more sludge and silt at the bottom of the pot. It has several other amenities as well. The photo on the box shows black tumbler that seems specifically suited for this coffee maker, and I was hoping that a tumbler was included. Alas, no, it is not. It only includes the carafe. However, it fits my 20 ounce stainless tumbler just fine. It has numerous timer settings, including 24 hour programming delay. It has a self-cleaning (de-scale) mode, but no descaling solution was included with mine. Cons: No descaling solution was included. I think it's a bit expensive. It's a smaller coffee pot, only 10 cups instead of 12. Registering my product was pretty much a nightmare, took 30 minutes. Aesthetically it's terrific, and it's got a smaller footprint than my previous coffee maker. Overall 4.5 stars, a thumbs up.
I guess I didn’t read the reviews or description very well cause I didn’t know it was glass I thought it was plastic. Which it’s way better quality than I expected! I love it so much and very good for the price!! I haven’t used coffee grounds yet just cold brew packets so I’m not sure how well it is to clean but I can imagine it’s easy
This French Press is exactly what my husband was looking for. It says it is 32oz, but we think it is only about 21oz. It is easy to use, and clean, and makes delicious coffee. It comes with an extra filter, which is a nice touch, and some additional cleaners that we haven’t yet figured out what to do with. The unit is made of a combination of glass, stainless steel, and plastic, and is quite sturdy. You will need to try several times before you get the perfect strength of coffee you prefer. Our first cuppa was far too strong, so we will reduce the mix tomorrow. Loving this French Press, and highly recommend!
I really like this coffee maker. It makes a great cup of coffee. However, I did find that the grounds basket can overflow if I don't carefully measure the grounds. Also, the contents can overflow to the counter and the pot. Other than that, it's a great coffee maker.
Excellent product that works great right out of the box! There have been some negative reviews on here so let me set the record straight. 1st) Make sure you understand how a cold brewing system works and familiarize yourself with the product and it's various removable parts. 2nd) Use the included directions because the system works better if you follow the instructions perfectly. I also find that by using the recommended medium grind of a burr grinder, you will in fact get better results. 3rd) Any product made with glass is typically breakable. I have cracked a few glass carafes in my day. This product is well designed, well made, and will in fact break if you are not careful. My machine worked great the first time. I was able to easily adjust my drip rate and I was also able to get a nice steady drip of coffee once I wet the grounds with the suggested "1 oz" of water. No complaints here. Just great coffee if you are willing to follow directions and take your time in the morning or the night before.
I really love this device, it works well. It came missing the inside seal so I get to taste some Coffee grinds. The red color came chipped under bottom and top, also has a dent
Pros: - Multiple hole water spout - disperses water well over coffee - Brew strength options are nice; Normal, Strong, Robust. The stronger settings will distributes water more slowly, like a traditional poor over. - Stainless Steel Thermos - Programmable Timer Cons: - Print / symbols already faded on plastic - Hot plate does not stay on, no way to keep it on. While brewing, hot plate heats thermos, but after a half or so the plate is off and no longer hot. Thermos keeps liquid hot for a couple hours or less. This device need a way to keep the coffee at 195º or so (no greater than 205º) for SEVERAL hours BY CHOICE. - Difficult to fill water container, plastic channel reaches across middle section. Poor design. Needs large opening in back - Spout of thermos and partial inside lip is plastic, HARD TO CLEAN (I had to buy a special round sponge on a handle to get in the small hole with my big hands LOL) - Water measure reader only on one side. - Light is not dimmable. Very bright blue Led. - Too much plastic! Wish someone made an all metal / glass brewing machine. I AM VERY CURIOUS WHY THERE IS NO ALL METAL AND GLASS COFFEE MAKERS AVAILABLE?
