Great Compact Coffee Maker... Just buy Foldgers Decaf and Vanilla Cream 👍☕perfect.
I got rid of my Breville Brewmaster Precision Brewer and replaced it with the Moccamaster KBGV Select. I couldn't be happier. First and foremost the brewmaster allowed for setting the temp but never made a cup hotter than 136 degrees unless you brewed a half carafe or more (approx, 32 ounces). Granted, the Brewmaster is bigger but what is the point of having a temp setting if it doesn't work. I wasted a ton of coffee just to get something hot (and no, the microwave ruins the coffee). This beautiful unit however can brew a single cup at a piping 186 degrees within 4 minutes; and it tastes great! The only downside is that you have no control over the bloom. Basically blooming is soaking the beans for a set amount of time before releasing to the carafe. I typically bloom for about 30 seconds. But here is a trick, start the brew before putting the carafe under the maker and you have a poor man's bloom! I never wait long enough to have it overflow over the top. This is pretty much unnecessary on this coffee pot as the coffee comes out great every time. Finally I have found a simple coffee pot that simply does what it was designed for without over architecting needless technology or any gimmicks. Some other tips: Never put tap water into these machines. Use distilled water and you will rarely if ever have to descale the unit. If you grind your own beans you can simply set the grinder to a set time for the measure. No need to use the spoon or anything. Everybody has a favorite coffee roaster. I stumbled upon Two Brothers out of Chicago and they have a consist process that gives me exactly what I am looking for in coffee. I use other brands for espresso. Enjoy your coffee!!!
First unit I purchased was missing the accessories. I exchanged it at the store and had to open 6 boxes before I found one that actually had the accessories in it. Somewhere in the supply chain workers are stealing the accessories and reselling them. This is due to the packaging tape that is used not adhering well. You can spot these boxes since the tape sizes on the boxes don't match each other but there is little if any evidence of these being opened before. I brought my new complete accessory unit home and set it up and it did nothing. The display for strength and temperature lit but nothing else worked or lit up. I unplugged it and played with it and nothing happened. I then pulled out the custom cup and tried to put it into the unit and it was too big and did not fit. If I took the Supreme adapter off it fell through. If I put it on, it was too big. Keurig quality has been plummeting in recent years. This until is clearly designed by someone with a low IQ and there were no quality controls either for the unit or the supply chain. I highly suggest people stop buying this brand
I drink mostly ice coffee. This fits the bill. Unhappy with the volumes as they are not accurate. Easily fixed by running another cycle. Melts far less ice than my old Keurig circa 2015. Old unit piping hot would melt a full cup of ice down to a few small cubes. It was probably around 200 degrees and this model 87 degrees into cup. it splats plenty out of cup messy but it works and happy with the buy.
Replace my father's coffee pot that quit working! Was happy today to see the replacement came in, opened the box and low and behold check out the face. The box was not damaged that it was packaged in and the box from coffeemakers.us.com was not damaged. Go figure. Wouldn't buy this again and not wasting my time shipping it back.
The beaker is sent to me with scratches all along the top part and some in the middle. I got a replacement and same thing, scratched glass. One scratch looks like a lowercase s. And then the rest are all just random little ones. You have to pour hot water in here, if its already scratched glass that just means it will break after a few uses. Not worth it.
Love how easy it is to set time and auto programming. Coffee brews quickly. Gold mesh filter allows you to skip paper filters, as a choice. Blends beautifully with my brushed nickle appliances. Very pleased!
I am very disappointed. We had heard amazing reviews on bun coffee makers so we bought this one back in August. We have had it for 8 months and the plastic piece in the lid doesn't work right anymore. So as soon as I poor the water in it brews right away. So we end up with cold coffee and we need to microwave. I am able to rig it so it doesn't brew right away but it is a pain to deal with.
Works like a charm! Was afraid about noise and leack, but everything is ok...for now, will see 😄
(second photo is a size reference) I buy the "Dunkin cold" grounds and use it with the scoop provided by the coffee machine and it comes out PERFECTLY. I use international delight "sweet and creamy" and I swear it's amazing (my normal Dunkin order is just iceed coffee cream and sugar but they have the syrups at the grocery store if you like a bit of flavor) a friend of mine suggested this thing to me and YASSSSS. I bought a second one to keep at work. Just DO IT! *Note the second one I ordered was "used" and came broken but the thing works enough I'm not dealing with all the coffeemakers.us.com exchange stuff so it is what it is* the "new" one AMAZING
Used this grinder four times and loved the ease of grinding and the results, although still trying to convince my husband that freshly ground coffee is better than pre-ground coffee. During the fifth use, we noticed that the grounds were not getting into the ground coffee bin. So I went to the Baratza website in search of troubleshooting advice. First step was to clean (unclog) the grinder. I followed the steps outlined in their directions. Once the grounds had been cleared from the burr ring and all seemed to be cleaned out, I tried to grind a few more beans. No good. The grounds clogged up and never got deposited into the coffee bin. So I cleaned it out again and returned to the Baratza website to do more troubleshooting. After much researching, I discovered that the paddle wheel in my grinder only had one paddle, not four like it is supposed to have. The one remaining paddle also fell off when (photo on the left) replacing it with a new paddle wheel (right photo). coffeemakers.us.com does not carry any of the replacement parts so I ordered a new paddle wheel from the manufacturer. Easy enough and not an expensive part. The directions provided by Baratza seemed easy enough to follow, except that tools needed specify a Plate Vice Grip and none of the hardware stores in my area carry such a tool. My handy husband was able to loosen the cone burr using a regular pair of vice grips he pulled out of his tool box. Once the cone burr was removed, the rest of the replacement took less than 10 minutes. A successful grind of beans followed and we are back in business. So to sum things up, my dissatisfaction with the grinder is that I didn’t expect to have problems after only four uses. I was beyond the return window or I would have simply returned it. I also don’t know if the part was defective when I first received the grinder, so I will watch this carefully to see if it was a one-time occurrence, or a design flaw. My advice - if you order the Encore grinder, make sure the paddle wheel has all four paddles when you assemble for the first time.
Great for a full body coffee and easy cleanup.
I love this product, it is glass, and very sturdy. Easy to use and clean and the lid seal works well!!
Arrived shattered. Doesn’t seem to very thick glass.
My Darling Bride and I lived in Italy for two years (I know, rough life) and really became connoisseurs of fine café. While the K-Cafe is not "real" espresso, it's a phenomenal substitute. The frother is astonishing! I'm still not entirely sure how that little booger works: but within a minute, half & half in a room temperature frothing mug is the consistency of shaving cream. Just fill it to the appropriate line, put the lid on and hit the button. Done. Start that, get to the coffee side and everything will be done at about the same time. There's a setting for Coffee or Latte/Capo. By selecting the Latte/Capo button, the machine automatically selects "STRONG" and "SHOT". It knows what you want and sets it up for you. For cappuccino, I use two shots of Black Rifle AK Espresso or their Death Punch. And for a Keurig, this is as close to the real deal as you're going to get without an authentic, steam-injected machine. And I might be awake for three days! For regular coffee, you will want to experiment with the various sizes and strengths to get the perfect cup for YOU. The Darling Bride fancies two pods of French Roast, 8 ounces each, for her favorite morning jump start. I'm not a big coffee fan anymore (I sort of coffeed out in the Navy), but when I want a good hearty espresso or cappuccino, it doesn't get much better - or easier - than this. We're glad we retired our old Keurig and got this, and we highly recommend it without reservation!
