It looks so beautiful. The water container is very easy to clean and its brewing 2 cups (16oz) are just right for a large mug, which I like so much too. Finally I can put my mug and coffee dripper on it, seeing the photo nicely.
As you can see in the pictures, while the top volume capacity may be 1.5L, at best, you could only brew about 1.3L of coffee. The picture with the filter/screen shows how much space is needed for the insulated top. Aside from the misleading capacity, the unit is nicely polished and appears to be made well, however, if you are purchasing this unit as a large (1.5L) French press, it falls short.
It works great with my gooseneck hot water pot and looks great sitting out on my counter Super easy to use and rinses clean in a second
Great size, color, and user friendly. My only negative is the coffee seems to not taste as good with the same k-cups as my old retired keurog 2.0😩. Any useful suggestions that would help to get the best coffee out of it I can would add another star🤔😃
Follow up to my original review. After 10 months this machine has exceeded my expectations. This may be the best coffee maker I have ever owned. I bought this machine July 12 for $140. I owned a 10 cup Mr Coffee machine that had similar functions and features (except the K-cup capability) that I was very happy with. It was about 10 years old when it started leaking water from the reservoir which prompted me to replace it. The only issue I had with the old machine was capacity. On those occasions when my wife and I wanted an additional cup of coffee it was inconvenient to brew another half-pot or full pot that often didn’t get fully used. This Keurig Duo seemed to be the perfect replacement. It features a 12 cup pot and has the K-cup feature for additional cups if needed. After reading several reviews on coffeemakers.us.com I identified 3 items that were a concern to me. 1. The permanent filter lets fines into the carafe. 2. The carafe doesn’t keep the coffee hot enough, long enough. 3. Longevity, a few reviews noted breakdowns after a few months. I have only owned this machine for about 2 weeks so I don’t have enough history to speak to the longevity issue. However, I can say that my first two concerns have been non-issues for me. The permanent filter DOES let fine coffee grounds through into the carafe. This problem is easily solved by using paper Bunn Coffee Filters BCF100 in place of the permanent filter. This works so well that in my opinion it renders the permanent filter a detractor rather than a benefit. The filter basket holder is easily removed and you can dump the filter and grounds out cleanly. Conversely the permanent filter has to be removed, cleaned and put back. In my estimation this is far more inconvenient. As far as temperature is concerned I find the Keurig carafe is probably less insulated than my old machine in that it seems to cool off faster. This is also not an issue for me. My perfect drinking temperature is somewhere around 145 degrees. The temperature of the coffee from the Keurig is 170 degrees right after brewing and is 168 at 30 minutes and 161 after 1 hour. The coffee pot is usually empty before the two hour mark in our home. So far the temperature has not been an issue for us. Other miscellaneous notes are: brew time for a full carafe is 9 minutes and 30 seconds; very reasonable. The auto delay brew function works well but is a little counterintuitive. I have to turn the machine on, push the auto button, and press the start button to “set” the delay function, then press the power button again OR it will brew a pot of coffee immediately. Counter space footprint is ideal for us. Registration of the product was slightly inconvenient because the Keurig registration system didn’t recognize the serial number at first. I tried again after a few days and it worked fine so not really a significant issue. Overall - after 2 weeks of ownership I am very satisfied with this product and would recommend it highly. If it doesn’t last for at least 5 years at the current price point however, I would not buy it again. Time will tell.
So this thing is a little rough sounding (sounds like scraping) when pressing down coffee, but when I got its replacement from another brand, same thing. So I think that is a given with stainless steel. BUT, when I put this thing in the dishwasher, it showed its true colors or lack thereof... :) The entire exterior was pretty much ruined. It is a think plastic sheath and basically melted in the dry cycle. The leftover is flaky and will pollute my coffee as it chips off. So it was okay... But if you wash it, be safe and wash by hand.
Lives up to the hype! The pods make very aromatic and quality coffee and replaces the need to go Starbucks.
Love it! Easy to clean, easy to use. Not noisy. I’ve been using this for approximately 2 months now and very happy.
The "teeth" on the lid were broken when I received the press, annoying but it still seems to function. Too much of a pain for the price to return this one for a replacement.
My last french press broke and this french press right here saved the day. This is so HIGH QUALITY it feels like a luxury french press, product literally !! I am so happy with how it keeps the grinds out and helps me in a cold brew kind of way as well!! I am very happy with the way that it looks and the way that it works. I absolutely recommend this french press above all others. Wonderful quality product !!
The coffee machine comes with 12 capsules, and each one tastes great. I like this coffee machine very much. It is easy to operate and cheap.
Excellent concept with unfortunate flaws. As shown in my attached photo the cheap Press Fitted Filter to trim ring failed after only a dozen uses. And the thermal heat loss from the carafe is only good for maybe one hour...if you like your coffee hot. (Their Video demonstration is with a superior model than what is made in China...or it's just Fraud...you decide). I like that it's easy to clean, ergonomic, rugged carafe, and stylish. I've ordered a Chemex style "quality" filter basket and will continue to use my original purchase. PS: coffeemakers.us.com Support was great! They paid to replace the basket!
No tengo queja alguna, el agua calienta super bien, y el cafe buenisimo 🤤 No tengas miedo de comprar esta cafetera …
The coffee maker works fine, but it drips water from the rail that holds the brewing basket. It always drips from the left rail every time I use it. That is such an unfortunate design flaw. I expected better from Bunn.
I bought this to replace a Cuisinart single cup brewer. I was having problems with the k-cups exploding in the Cuisinart and what a mess!! Turns out the reason is that it only punctured one hole in the top of a k-cup, whereas this Keurig does 5 holes! The slim design fits perfectly on my countertop. Brews a cup quickly either very little dripping after. The only drawback is that you have to buy a separate water filter contraption. Other than that I highly recommend this unit!
