This is a pretty slick Espresso machine. Be sure to view it as a travel expresso machine. For room temperature water, it can make a 60 ml expresso in 5 minutes on a full battery. That's not a lot and it's not very fast BUT.... when you're on the go it's a fabulous machine. I filled it with bottled water and used the Starbucks N-cups. Although it can make a cold-brew, I wanted a hot one, so I double clicked the power button and waited. Just as described in the manual it took about 5 minutes (5:12) and stated making delicious espresso. This is a very well-made machine. It feels expensive and it does exactly what it claims. It comes with both a USB charger and a car (cigarette) charger. I only tested the N-cups but they worked great! If you want a delicious espresso one the go then you will love this machine.

  • We love the color and retro look of this machine but the insides (where the hot liquid passes) is all plastic (ew) AND the plastic handle cracked and broke within 6 months. The matching grinder is great.

After filling up the reservoir one day, the water level didn't look right. So I added a little more, direct from my water pitcher! Turns out the machine was leaking. Giant mess! Only lasted 8 months, and I did a full clean 6 months into it. Mr. Coffee machines usually last me about 2 years. Might be the redesign from 4 cup to 5 cup? Otherwise, a fluke maybe? I've ordered another, so we shall see. Edit: New machine, new model redesign. I don't know if there are any other changes but the carafe has been changed. The first unit I had looked like the one from this listing's pictures. (Which is obviously now flawed and a poor listing.) It shows a carafe that has an open handle and measurement markings on both sides of the glass, either side of the handle. This latest unit I received has a closed handle and markings only on ones side, which happens not to be the side I use when filling. Not convenient. Doesn't even match the box!

I don't understand brands that go backwards in quality - the handle came off as if held together by air - I am actually using the pot that I was planning to donate to goodwill - the old pot is probably 6 years old ... this new one broke in a month - I am floored so disappointed by this brand - I mean who commits their brand to complete market suicide and loses their advantage to cut a few bucks? Wow I would have paid more instead bc I trusted the brand - I would so fire the NPD team who thought it prudent to cut corners - reminds me of the sad story of Samsung battery Never again - am done i hate market myopia

  • I think it's a great value fot money. Operation is very easy. Unly disadvantage is that it's for capsule only. No option for coffee powder

  • Love this coffee maker. Was looking for something small, we only make a cup at a time but I didn't want a Pod machine. I like a stronger brew than my husband - he can make his and I make mine later. Easy to clean. Definitely gets the water hot. The hot plate doesn't stay on long but we don't use it so not an issue for us. I haven't tried it as a Pour Over yet so can't speak to that. Would definitely purchase again. Looks super cute on my counter! I put the Pepsi can in the picture for size reference. 11/13/2023. Follow Up Review: Went to make coffee this morning and the machine will not turn on. I checked the outlet, tried another outlet etc - nothing. No other type of warning yesterday - turned on fine, water got hot and poured through properly. I have only had this machine for 8 months. I used it pretty much everyday and always used filtered water. I know $50.00 isn't much for a machine but I expected it to last longer than 8 months. I see it's no longer available for purchase so perhaps there were other purchasers with issues. So disappointed. Changing my Review from 5 Stars to 1 Star

  • Update: The seller contacted me about my experience. We walked through more details about the process and we believe I had a faulty machine so they sent me a new machine pretty quickly. The new machine works well and the beans come out looking great at both medium and dark roast levels ! I didn't need to do anything to the machine except push the button and watch the beans roast. Highly recommend, but also make sure you keep an eye on your roaster. :) Original review: Either I'm bad at this, or I got a faulty machine. The lid melted the first time I tried to do a medium roast. The beans were also very burnt. After a few attempts I figured out how to successfully roast beans by manually cycling to cool down.

  • We bought this new this year and have used it camping several times. We found that it makes great tasting coffee and is simple to operate. The carafe is 10 cup while the water tank capacity is just 8 (the picture shown is a full tank). The spark igniter failed already but there is a lighting hole on the right that's more predictable to operate. It takes the flat bottom paper filters but really needs a taller filter.

  • This coffeemaker from Cuckoo is a nice looking device and performs as expected. Nothing complicated about the technology in this coffeemaker- water drips down and soaks thru coffee grounds and down to the glass carafe. The water drip spout has six holes that water drips down from. There is a "strong" brew option, which takes longer to brew a coffee- like maybe 2 times longer. The stainless steel and black trim is nice looking. The coffee this makes is about the same as any other cheap coffeemaker so I deducted 1 star because its too expensive at $69 on coffeemakers.us.com when you can buy a cheaper maker that performs the same.

I really like this coffee pot very much! I love that it uses beans or ground coffee and it can make up to ten cups of coffee. What I also like very much is that it can make your coffee in twos like 2,4,6,8 and ten cups at a time. You do not have to make a whole pot which is perfect for us afternoon coffee lovers like myself. You can also pick your coarseness of your beans for full flavor. It does come with a basket for your pre-ground coffee as well. It has a good automatic start function/timer that I use every morning and with the highest roast (recommended) coffee beans and grounds I can find and it smells amazing and starts my day off awesome. I just love the glass pot that will stay safe and warm for up to two hours on its burner plate. That’s a nice function that I like very much. I think this is a very nice, high-quality coffee pot and it’s at a great price for all that you get. I would definitely highly recommend it. It is very nice!

  • Love it! Works great so convenient for someone who doesn't drink a whole pot of coffee in a day plus my kids can use their hot cocoa k cups 😁☕

  • This is why I don't write reviews after owning an item for a short period of time. I've had this Hamilton Beach FlexBrew coffee maker since 2019...and it's now 2021, so 2 years. This has happened occasionally over the years, where the coffee pod explodes, leaving a huge mess to clean up, but it would sometimes go months without that happening at all. Over the past few days, it's happened 3 times in a row, with different pod brands, so it's not the coffee pods; it's the machine, and it seems that we may be looking for something new. We have cleaned it regularly, and it's been a good machine other than the pod explosions, which are enough to drive one crazy with the cleanup involved, especially when it happens twice in one morning. The flavor of the coffee is good. We like the choice of cup sizes and the bold/regular brew choices. The reservoir is easy to fill. The machine itself does not have a large footprint so it doesn't need much counter space. But beware of coffee pod explosions that can happen without warning and ruin your morning.

We purchased the Cuisinart SS-10 to replace a Cuisinart K-cup brewer which had failed after 8 years. The previous unit was a Cuisinart SS-700 in silver, that is now only available in black (we prefer silver to match our kitchen). We generally liked the SS-700, so we decided to go with Cuisinart again, also because the "look" is better than the competing Keurig units and we don't really care about Keurig 2.0 capabilities (coffee pods). Overall, our experience with the SS-10 has been disappointing: 1. The settings for cup size are very imprecise (see image), the 6 oz actually produces 7 oz and the 8 oz produces 9 oz. Since there's nothing in between you get your choice of coffee that's either too weak or too strong (or you can do what I do and set it to 8 oz setting, but pull the cup off the brewer when it actually reaches 8 oz and let the other 1 oz fall into the tray. You can get away with that exactly 3 times before your wife yells at you.) 2. The closure mechanism is different than the Keurig units and different than our prior Cuisinart SS-700 -- instead of pivoting the k-cup receptacle out and forward, which makes it convenient to remove, the SS-10 receptacle stays in place. It's just slightly less convenient to insert or remove a k-cup. 3. The other issue with the closure mechanism is that it feels like it requires move leverage and force to close the unit, this is because you are not "scissoring" instead you are pushing down to pierce the k-cup. It makes you feel like you are breaking something. 4. Another issue is the feel of the cover -- it is held up by what feels like two rubber pieces rubbing together in a series of small bumps. While I cannot validate this, it feels very flimsy and feels like it will not last long. 5. Speaking of the cover (see image) it is also inconveniently implemented in "chrome". Not only does this detract from the matte silver design of the rest of the unit, it also shows finger prints and water marks easily. You need to clean the top every time you use the machine. 6. The 70 oz water capacity just seems small next to the 80 oz SS-700. I'm was not sure why it felt that way since it's really only about a cps difference, but then I realized that we were actually only capable of producing 9 oz coffees, so after 7 cups, it wants to be refilled! With the SS-700, and more precise cups, an 80 oz tank can do 10 cups (3 more). 7. This is just a "nit" in comparison to the other issues, but the "BREW" button is too small. Overall, had the unit been able to measure liquid, I might have been able to forgive the other faults, but given that it's mission is to deliver precisely measured, exactly heated cups of coffee, I could not live with it. It was returned in favor of a Keurig K575 (about $50 more than the SS-10). Pros: - One of the better looking silver K-cup brewers Cons: - Cannot produce a decent cup of coffee - Always needs cleaning - Small~ish water tank Recommendation: If you really like the "look" and don't care about the coffee, it's a nice unit and very price-competetive. If you are looking for a good cup of coffee, look elsewhere.

Purchased this in November and started having issues with it right away. Didn’t mind at first because it brews well and easy to use—however it only got worse. The main unit will spill water over the counter even below the max fill line. The lid needed to be screwed past the handle to not leak out and eventually caused it to break (photo above). It’s not the biggest deal but the design basically leaves liquid in the pot when washing. Need to air dry entirely or shove a washcloth in to soak everything up. Just strange design for a somewhat nicer coffee pot.

Easy to use once I got all the parts figured out. I used the medium setting and will try bold next time. Coffee is a little weak to me compared with Starbucks. I used Cameron's cold brew medium coarse ground beans.
