If you've been considering moving to a coffee press, this is the one for you. It's my favorite morning ritual. This coffee press has a wide glass jar that is very easy to clean. The glass seems nice and thick. The actual press is very easy to use and smoothly presses the coffee. The box comes with basic instructions for new comers. There are 2 extra screens when you want to change them out.

  • I used to drink good ol’ drip coffee for years but as I got older my stomach eventually let me know that it’s had enough. My friend suggested I try cold brew and since then my stomach has never been happier and I’ve never looked back. Up until recently I’d either buy cold brew from the store or the local coffee shop, but that got expensive quick, so I decided to try making cold brew at home. I’ve tried a couple of cold brew makers and the Barista is now by far my favorite. It’s easy to use, makes a copious amount of strong cold brew concentrate, and the container it filters into can be directly stored in the fridge with the lid, lasting for a whole week while staying fresh. I also bought one for the friend I mentioned, and he’s become a big barista cold brew fan as well. Some advice: NEVER dump the used coffee ground in the sink, as they can cause a buildup in your pipes.

  • To understand how this Turkish coffee maker works, you have to know a bit about what's Turkish or Greek coffee and how it's made. Traditional Turkish coffee is made with VERY finely grind coffee beans (finer than espresso grind), put a spoonful of this finely grind coffee and a SMALL cup of water into a boiling instrument with a wide base and narrower top called either a cezve or a ibrik with no filter to separate the coffee ground from the water. Stir it a few times, add a small amount of sugar if you like, put it over medium heat on the stove and watch until it comes to a boil (with no more stirring), then you have your Turkish coffee drink. It seems easy but you have to watch out for the boil. With this machine, after you mix the coffee ground, water and a little sugar in the container, put it on the base, push the power button, it will bring your coffee to the right temperature and stop when it's done. The trick is when you put the metal cup (with a boiling plate at the bottom) into the machine, a temperature probe will come out and extend over your metal cup (see pic 2) to ensure the water is boil to the perfect temperature and stop without you watching over it. Unlike when you are boiling the coffee yourself and get away to answer the phone or give your attention to something else for a few minutes, your Turkish coffee in the cezve will boil and spill all over then not only you will not have your enjoyable Turkish coffee, you have a big mess to clean up. This machine makes making Turkish coffee so easy, and brings the boil to the right temperature consistently and stop at the right moment to let you have your Turkish coffee without pain, just pleasure. Clean up is also very simple, just hand wash and rinse the stainless steel cup and it's ready for your next cup of Turkish coffee when you need it. Whether you've been drinking Turkish coffee self-boil or haven't enjoy Turkish coffee before, give this machine a try. Life is too short to not have Turkish coffee at least now and then, esp. with your friends or loved ones.

After only 7 months of owning this nespresso vertuo plus the pod socket popped out making it difficult to place a pod to make coffee , and the machine started to leak.

  • Though this was not an expensive small coffee pot, I would have expected it would last longer than 2 weeks past the return window. Not only is the burner peeling, the basket which is cleaned every day, drips grounds into the carafe. The pot has never been over filled with water. This pot gets used once a day. Guess I’ll go back to a small Mr Coffee pot which has at least lasted a year in the past.

This coffeemaker does make good coffee. But I cannot recommend it since the lid is sooooo tall. It measures about 10" so when I need to open it to put the filter and coffee I have to move it precariously close to the edge of the counter. I cannot open it under the cabinets. If I had realized the lid was so tall I would not have purchased this coffeemaker. It makes it a no go for me. Except it does work. Very poor design.

  • Worked wellish, then stopped working mid-brew when it ran out of water. While most “smart” coffeemakers would tell you to add water, this one did not. The screen turned black and it shut down. As started by the manufacturer, we tried unplugging it so it would reset. That did not work. The machine is bricked. The coffee was never great with this machine. It tasted okay, but we always had coffee grounds floating in our cups, no matter which kcups we used. And it was always much slower than our previous Keurigs.

  • Double wall collects condensation and holds water. Awful.

    🤨

  • This french press is very similar to other ones I have used, with a couple of improvements. My old press left the pour spout open just a bit when the cover was on and dust, little flies, moths, and other bugs could get in and ruin the coffee; but this new press has a much longer lip on the inside of the cover that completely closes off the spout. When you want to pour coffee you can just rotate the cover until the strainer aligns with the spout, so your precious 'starter fluid' is protected from bugs still. There is one metal screen on the plunger end in the version that I ordered which is sufficient for most coffee grinds; the instructions recommend a course grind to keep the screen from clogging. As with most presses, the screen can be easily removed for cleaning. The plunger works very smoothly and does not bind on the edges of the beaker which serves as the body of the press. The metal outside support holds the beaker tightly so that the glass is protected and will not easily fall out while pouring. Very happy with this, and I'll be using this new press instead of the old one most of the time.

  • Overall it works well & keeps the coffee warm for up to 2 hours. However, the downside is standby mode turns the clock off after the coffee brews. Plus the top of the pot has a thick rim with a small circle top. This means you have to practically turn it upside down to get the last of the coffee out, which causes it to spill out from the top. Lastly, it would be nice if it had a side view window, so you could see how much coffee is in there without taking the top off.

I bought my Cafe Latte machine from Mr.Coffee less than a month ago after reading many great reviews. I did not read anywhere about how easy the carafe breaks. The glass is very thin and customer service told me that this is not covered under warranty and I must spend $25 to replace the carafe. Please be aware when you buy this product! It does make a great latte, but you will end up spending more money to replace the equipment!!! ✘ No, I do not recommend this product.

  • Unless you truly like the look of this product, there is no reason to buy it. It's not a great, or even a particularly good, coffee maker. Especially for the price. First, as others have noted, the coffee pot is liable to break. My coffee pot lasted less than 4 months (I bought the machine at the start of October 2020; the pot broke at the start of February, 2021). The pot handle broke simply lifting the pot out of the (top rack) of the dishwasher. There was no unusual force used or anything different about removing it from the dishwasher. The plastic handle broke in my hand (see pictures). Now, it is true that the instructions say to not put the coffee pot in the dishwasher (and this is the reason the company has given me for why the company will not be replacing my coffee pot), but for $200 you would think a dishwasher-safe coffee pot could be provided. I guess not. Buyer beware. (A new pot costs $85, including shipping and handling.) Second, the coffee pot spout does not allow coffee to be poured quickly. The coffee must be very carefully and slowly poured from the pot into your cup. If you try to pour the coffee at any speed faster than “very slow”, the coffee runs down the side of the pot and then onto the counter or floor. I’ve used this machine every other day for approximately 4 months. I've cleaned up coffee probably a dozen times. Surely there is a better way to design a pot. Third, there is nothing intuitive or straight-forward about operating the machine. The buttons don’t make good sense. To change the time, you need to use a combination of buttons on the front and lever on the side (the lever serves no other function than changing the time. In essence, it’s just for show.) For some features, you don’t just push a button, you push a combination of buttons simultaneously. Good luck remembering what does what exactly. Finally, as others have noted, there is a very small area in which to pour the water (since I poured my water from a pitcher (with a good spout!), this wasn't a problem), and the coffee can be kept hot for only one hour before the machine automatically shuts off. It would nice to have the option to let the machine stay on indefinitely. In sum, the machine brews hot coffee. Just like any regular $20-$50 coffee maker does. I’ve detected no difference between this machine and my previous one, which cost a fraction of the price (and had a better coffee pot). One star for doing the bare minimum.
