Manual could be more precise but no complaints on ease of use or taste once that was conquered. Have not tried delayed start. I’m cautious that the carafe handle is vulnerable. This coffee maker will get light use. Prefer single cup nespresso for daily morning coffee.
This is a handy coffee maker with options! I actually have a full size coffee maker but when you don't need a whole pot of coffee this comes to the rescue! Hot coffee, iced coffee, K-cups, use your own grounds and 4 different sizes of cups! This is compact and will fit in a small apt, dorm room,, guest room, etc, This would make a nice gift for wedding, birthday, graduation and more!
I am not a coffee snob, but I usually do not like k-cup brewed coffee. I’ve had k-cup coffee from many machines, using a variety of coffees. They all seem to have an underlying taste that I attributed to the k-cup itself. I am no longer sure that is the case. The cup of coffee brewed in this machine is fantastic. It is plenty hot, and still strong with a 10oz cup. The machine itself is nothing fancy. It has a decently sized water reservoir, and you can choose between a 6, 8, or 10 oz cup of coffee (I brew 10oz cups). With new pot, it is recommended to flush the system by running a cycle with just water first and I did just that. I actually brewed one cup of each size and measured the output. It came in right at 6, 8, or 10oz each time! It brews very quickly too, even from a cold start and beeps when the brewing is complete. After the beeps, leave your cup there a for a minute to catch coffee drips. I learned very quickly that the cup will still drip for almost a full minute after the beeping. After only a couple of cups brewed and removed immediately after the beep, the drain cup had a lot more coffee in it than I expected. To me, this is not a big deal. It is too hot for me to drink right away anyway - so instead of the cup finishing in one minute, it is done in two. That’s still much better than a traditional drip machine. There are some things that are unexpected, and make this seem cheaper than the $79.99 that it is listing for. The door that closes on the k-cup chamber has a button release to open it, but there is no spring. You have to push the button and pull the door open. That is disappointing. The plastic also seems to be made of a cheaper grade than you might find on more popular branded machines, so I wonder whether the chamber door will warp over time due to the heat. It would also be nice if there was a twelve ounce cup option like many of the newer machines have. But the removable water reservoir is a nice feature. At 50oz, using it for one cup a day at work, I only need to fill it once a week, and it is easy to clean. Although I haven’t used them, it also comes with reusable adapters for ground coffee or loose tea. I wanted this for the convenience of not having to deal with grinds and cleaning the adapter every day at work, but it is certainly a more economical option, and allows for more variety in case your favorite coffee does not come in a k-cup. I tested this out at home and was pleased with the small footprint. It fits nicely on my counter and even with top k-cup lid open, it still fits under my cabinets! Overall, I am very happy with this machine and look forward to my cup of coffee every day. The price, while not cheap, is reasonable when compared with other options with similar features. And not having the funny taste that I’ve had with cups brewed on branded machines makes it worth every penny.
This coffee machine pleasantly surprised me. As an experienced coffee lover, I prefer Italian coffee prepared in a classic stovetop espresso maker. I don't have enough time in the morning to watch it at the stove and clean up after. That's why we use a regular dripping coffee maker on weekdays. This purchase turned out to be a game changer. It produces the same aromatic coffee as in a geyser coffee maker. Now we enjoy the coffee we are used to in Europe every day. I highly recommend to try it!
Look no further than this OXO cold brew system. I got into cold brew after getting sick and tired of paying $5++ a cup at our local coffee shops. This system makes it effortless and easy to brew the best cold brew you will ever have and only takes a few minutes! I use a 10oz coffee/40 oz cold filtered water ratio and that usually gives me ~3.5 cups of concentrate that I then have as a 1:2 ratio for my daily afternoon pick me up. (By 1:2 I mean 4oz concentrate and 8oz of filtered water for a serving) Course ground coffee and medium roasts are the best when it comes to cold brew in my opinion and after a lot of trial and error. My favorite is gevalia Guatemala roast! This machine is so easy to set up and the components fit together securely despite being made of plastic. Pro tip, buy the extra filters if you are getting this machine, you will need them because this machine only comes with a few. The steps are simple- add a filter paper, screw on the bottom and make sure the brew switch is on lock. Add your 10oz coffee in the top of the system and then slowly pour your water through the rain drip feature on top. That’s it! Then wait 16-24 hours for the perfect brew. I personally find 23-24 hours produces the smoothest coffee.
Love this filter for my lose leaf tea! Not even one tiny particle came through!!! And works well with the mason jar pour handle.
Its very easy to use and not limited to its suggested ratios (however there is a maximum). You can use them with paper filters (I use the Toddy paper filters) which makes clean up easier and I prefer the taste anyway. The mechanism when aligned properly should be leak proof. Honestly a great sell for people who are not trying to make a ton of cold brew with limited space.
I never really thought coffee could be this smooth. You hear people talk about but I never really believed it until my cousin poured me a cup. I ordered mine before my cup was empty.
I am highly disappointed wit this coffeepot. The spout is too high and all coffee grinds come out when pouring. I had to start taking the lid completely off to avoid grinds in every cup of coffee, which of course, defeats a cup of hot coffee because then I have to microwave all coffee after the first cup. I would have returned this immediately but it was a gift, then we went on vacation, and by the time we came home and tried it a few times, our window for return was over. This was a complete waste of money. I have had several other percolators that have never had this issue. I RARELY write a bad review, but this was so bad I needed to.
This review is a testament to the exceptional qualities of the Minipresso NS2, a significant improvement over its predecessor, the Nanopresso. For those unfamiliar with the Nanopresso, it was Wacaco's initial offering designed to support Nespresso capsules. Although the Nanopresso was a delightful machine, it occasionally suffered from blow-by issues and lacked compatibility with non-Nespresso brand capsules. Blow-by occurs when water bypasses the coffee grounds inside the capsule, affecting the quality of the brew. The Minipresso NS2 rectifies these issues with finesse while boasting a sleek and compact design. Having been a dedicated consumer of Wacaco products for over five years, I can confidently vouch for their functionality and quality. The Minipresso NS2 surpasses its predecessors in several key aspects: 1. Efficient Heating: The Minipresso NS2 features an innovative design that introduces hot water directly into the machine, eliminating the need for pre-heating. This enhances convenience and saves time. 2. Streamlined Espresso Cup: The Minipresso NS2 incorporates a thinner espresso cup, removing the necessity to preheat it separately. This not only simplifies the process but also enhances the overall experience. 3. Simplified Design: With a smaller footprint and fewer parts, the Minipresso NS2 exudes durability and robustness. It's a testament to thoughtful engineering, making it more user-friendly and long-lasting. 4. Included Drip Cup: Surprisingly, the Minipresso NS2 comes equipped with a small drip cup, which proves to be a valuable addition. It efficiently manages any spills or drips and doubles as a stand, further enhancing the cleanliness and ease of your brewing experience. Whether you're new to the world of portable espresso machines or a loyal Nanopresso user, the Minipresso NS2 is an upgrade that's well worth considering. Its performance improvements, compact design, and convenient features make it a standout choice for coffee lovers on the go. Say goodbye to blow-by issues and explore the delightful world of espresso with the Minipresso NS2.
I was looking for a new coffee maker to fit my limited counter space. This 4 cup coffee maker fits my needs. It brews wonderful tasting coffee, and is not too loud. The filter is reusable and easy to clean, with mesh covering the sides and bottom allowing hot water to pass over the ground coffee.
I've been using this coffee maker for about a month now. It comes with a little bit of a learning curve due to it's multiple settings and the fact that you need to single/double/triple press to rotate through settings such as carafe temp, infusion levels, bean levels, etc. Screen-wise, it can be intimidating to look at. But after awhile of use, it gets easier. What I like about this coffee maker: - The mesh filter makes it easy to clean and save money on paper filters. Also reduces waste. - Keeps the coffee warm thanks to the warming tray What I don't like about this coffee maker: - The error beep (if the coffee pot is not placed correctly on the plate) sounds like the same beep you get when the coffee maker is done brewing. I've misaligned my coffee pot on the warmer a few times on accident and it's overflowed all over the place. - The only way to adjust the time is right when the coffee pot is turned on. - Speaking of time, over the last month this coffee machine has slowly not kept up with the correct time. It's now about 5 minutes behind the actual time.
If you’re looking for a matte black coffee maker, do not buy this. It is gray! Yes it’s beautiful but not what was advertised. It felt very clumsy and cheaply made, definitely not worth the price you pay for here. Returned before even trying it because we didn’t want to settle for a machine at this price!
I've Been wanting a Keurig for a while, finally got one.. I like it very much & enjoy being able to make coffee instantly, I also plan to buy some Tea K-cups because I love tea as well. I do agree with other reviews that the coffee does not taste very strong even when using the "strong" button however my boyfriend thinks it comes out perfect, so it really just depends how you like your coffee. I actually was thinking it might just be the brand of coffee I bought but not sure, I'll have to see when I buy the brands I know. It is also really good for a quick cup of hot chocolate which comes in handy for my kids. The machine also does not boil the water very much so when you put in your creamer (if your creamer is cold) it cools down the coffee to the point where it's just warm & you better drink it before it gets cold. As far as the way the Keurig was made, well I expected it to be more stronger than it actually is but that's no big deal I mean It's not like I'm going to be moving it around to drop & break it. Overall it is easy to use & I don't think it's a bad buy.
