This V60 Pour over looks stunning, The conical wave pattern in the glass is beautiful standing in it's removable handle. It looks stunning on my glass coffee cup. It is made of heat resistant glass that uses a #02 filters for 1-4 cups of coffee. As I do not like my coffee too strong, I use the following formula for a perfect relaxing cup of medium roast coffee each morning. 1 cup = 12grams of beans Hand coffee bean grinder set to #13 to create "med fine" grounded coffee. (use your favorite grind setting) 250 grams of boiled water at 202F I pour ins some heavy cream and a bit of maple syrup. Mmmmmmm…… Smells & tastes perfect!
What I like about this coffee pot is it sits in the small area on my counter perfectly like a little coffee nook. I like that It has a reusable coffee filter. After using it I leave the lid slightly ajar using the top of the coffee pot so that it dries a little before the next use. The reason why I said great coffee pot but... is because I thought the warming burner would offer a hotter coffee after having brewed a pot. So for those of us that like hotter coffee, I simply pop mug in the microwave if I'm using the coffee that has been sitting on the warmer for a while.
Everyone can see my very first impression down here this a update after less than a month work basically it falls a part you can see in the picture that how it broke because of using cheap plastic in the place that heat goes and the plastic basically broke I’m going to return this and get my money backl Very nice addition to my life as coffee addict simple to use and efficient only downside is the weird noise that it makes at the end. So far I just use k-cup on it I’ll update this review when I used grind coffee.
Works well. However does not have a drip tray where you put your cup. So after brewing your coffee and you remove your cup it will drip. Hard to notice because the coffee maker is black. So if you forget to wipe it up, next time you go to make coffee it will get all over the bottom of your cup.
Until I ordered this french press coffee maker, I had never used one before. I mainly wanted to get one because the makers of the coffee I use recommended it. I wasn't looking for anything fancy, just inexpensive and practical. The Kitchen Supreme french press came exactly as described and it was well packaged. The directions that came with it were very easy to follow and it was very simple to use. I have no problems with this product, but I really didn't need the "bent" spoon (I never use it) and I would have liked for the scoop to have some kind of measuring gradation such as 1 tbsp or similar on it so I know exactly what I'm getting when I use it. Otherwise, I feel that this has been a very worth while purchase and plan to use it for quite a while.
After 3 months , this coffee pot now blows the grounds out of the top of the machine. Dirty Steam and coffee ground everywhere. Very disappointed. Now it just doesn't work. coffeemakers.us.com and seller basically say SOL!
Another high quality moccamaster product
Would not buy again. Used maybe a few times a month, less than a year later it's peeling.
Design is really unique. My favorite thing so far is the carafe, it is all glass (including the handle). It is tall but taller than a regular coffee maker. Coffee taste is wonderful, seems to brew a little stronger. Not in love with the digital time, for me it’s a little difficult to read. Not a fast brew, very similar to regular coffee makers.
We like the coffee this thing makes, but it is driving me crazy. Every night, we set it to Rich and make sure Small Batch is turned off before activating Delay Brew. But when it comes on the next morning, it immediately switches to Classic and Small Batch. The video shows this happening today. It does make good coffee, but the filter runs over, which makes me think we're going to get grounds in our coffee sometimes. And from my experience with other coffeemakers I know that grounds getting in the basket valve will almost certainly cause it to leak when you pull the pot out in mid-cycle. I suspect it runs over because it is pumping too fast. We almost always make a full 12 cups. I called the helpline and was pleased to get a live person almost immediately (kudos for that). We sent the first unit back per his instructions, but the second one is doing exactly the same thing. With both machines, if I start it manually, the Rich light will stay on and the Small Batch light will stay off, which is what I want. But the filter still runs over most of the time. Occasionally the first machine would do drastically better in that regard, with the grounds coming no closer than an inch below the top edge of the filter. I'm assuming this is the way it's supposed to work with the Rich/Regular Batch settings when you're brewing a large quantity: it should pump slower so the filter basket does not fill up, and the water has more time to absorb the coffee on its way to the carafe. I suppose I could call Shark Ninja again, but I'm afraid I'll just be wasting my time boxing up and shipping the second one back, and the third one will do the same thing. This is a moderately pricey device, so I expect it to work right. Has anybody successfully used the Rich setting with Small Batch off in Delay Brew mode? Update 1/28/2019: I have added a second picture of the filter after brewing. The first shows what usually happens: the filter runs over and grounds float out into the basket. The second shows what happens occasionally (twice so far with the replacement unit): the moistened grounds do not come anywhere near the top of the filter. The second one is what I want to see. Why is this not consistent? Sometimes it's okay but most times the grounds go everywhere. We have given up on the settings. It ignores them when Delay Brew is used, and they don't seem to make a difference anyway. Update 2/13/2019: Another flaw I forgot to mention is that the buttons are very hard to push. You have to press so hard that it's necessary to reach around the back and hold the machine to keep it from sliding. And as other reviewers have mentioned, the coffee is too hot to drink without letting it cool for a minute. I'm taking off a star. This thing annoys me more every day.
I ordered this as I needed a small coffee maker without a glass beaker. Does not disappoint! Feels sturdy, doesn’t get too hot on the outside, presses smoothly with no loose grounds in my cup. Comes with an extra filter and a perfect sized spoon. I use the 8oz setting for hot water on the Keurig and it works nicely. Definitely recommend this product.
Easy to use and good flavor
This comes with it’s own mesh filter that you can put the coffee into and don’t have to worry about using paper filters inside of it. The mesh keeps the coffee grounds from seeping through. The only thing you will need to use this is a kettle or you can heat up water in the microwave. You simply pour it over the coffee grounds and inn less than a minute, you have fresh coffee. So much more convenient than using a coffee pot and I like it better than a keurig personally. If you are looking for a new way to brew your coffee, you will love this. I would recommend it.
Pro: The brewer works well. The carafe keeps the coffee hot. 10 cups brewed in about 11 minutes Con: No back light Almost impossible to see the PM on the clock. Power button stays on for two hours as if it was meant for a warming plate
