This for the price is the best... I bought this one again because I like a 12 cup and I don't like ones that shut off by themselves. We've used this style from Mr. coffee for years at are place of business and home. This I think is the forth one I owned in 40 years. Great for the price and my wife and I now!

  • Plastic handle snapped on the knock box. Plastic handle through, what did they expect to happen?

Coffee maker is fine. Makes hot coffee quickly. No frills. No timer for auto shut off. That is OK. It is NOT OK that the handle is too far away from the lid. I can't reach it with my thumb and I do not have especially small hands. Plus the edge is rough plastic.

  • I love this cold brew system! I really like the pretty glass carafe and the brushed metal. This cold brew system makes excellent iced coffee! I use really good ground coffee in it, to get the strong exspresso flavor. It is extremely easy to use and clean between uses. I have also learned that you need to fill the coffee grounds only about half way in the center filter, or they won't get wet. I also found that in order to get stronger coffee, it really needs to steep 10-12 hours. At first I thought it would not make enough cold brew, but after 4 cold brew cycles we now have enough cold brew coffee to fill another pitcher. In 2 more cycles, the cold brew coffee system will have paid for itself. I wished I had purchased it sooner with all of the money we will be saving from buying Starbuck's.

  • I like this little pot. The coffee tastes fantastic. Works best with the Cosori gooseneck kettle. 4 stars though, as the reality is that it only holds about 3 medium cups of coffee. So, not convenient for company, but perfect for one or two people. The coffee from our plastic coffeemaker was not good enough. This pot you have to make manually. I actually enjoy the 5 peaceful minutes of doing nothing but watching the coffee drip and the aroma of fresh coffee. Comes with a really good permanent filter but I prefer using natural #2 cone filters along with it for an even better taste and zero sediment at the bottom.

The press arrived very well packaged and in perfect condition. I hated the colour online but was pleasantly surprised by how mild and pretty it is in person. It comes apart easily and isn’t difficult to clean if you have a long-stem brush you can use, but it’s too small to fit a hand inside. It was very straightforward and easy to use, though I did find that you need to plunge it slowly and hold the lid on when pouring. The filters kept the grounds out effectively and didn’t leave any sludge in the bottom of my cup. It also came with a nice measuring cup, though the measurements were printed in grams and not teaspoons. All in all, I am very happy with this French press and would definitely recommend it!

  • My previous cold brew maker developed a hairline crack in the glass that started leaking, so I bought this as an upgrade/replacement during a Black Friday sale. It came in an unbranded cardboard box labeled as a "multipurpose glass jug" and "drinks maker pitcher" which might make it need a little more explaining if you're giving it as a gift. Still, as a cold brew fan using it for coffee specifically, I'm happy with it. The glass is nice and thick/heavy, and the filter is fine enough to avoid any grounds in my coffee even if I use a fine grind. I love the large capacity, so I don't have to make new batches as often. It's easy to clean, and the included bottle brush is a nice bonus. The lid seals very securely, and it's easy to pour. The glass is marked so you can track how much is left. If I had to nitpick, I'd have two minor notes. One is that you do have to totally remove the filter to pour your coffee. With my old maker, the filter portion was sealed from the pouring spout, so I could pour a cup but leave the rest to brew a little stronger (especially useful if I forgot to start a new batch in time to have a full 18-24hr brew). The large capacity helps tp mitigate this somewhat of course, as I don't run out as often to begin with. If I really have to, I remove the filter, pour, and then put it back in to keep brewing away. The other potential concern depends on your desired ratio for your cold brew, since this holds 64oz of water but the filter only fits 5-6oz or so of coffee depending on grind. It's not a problem for me personally, but worth noting if you like a higher proportion of coffee to water.

Just received this item and there is no way this is a 32oz mason jar. I filled the jar to the brim with water and weighed it in fl oz with my food scale, it came out as just over 27oz. And that was with only water in it, not even the cold brew filter and coffee grounds added yet. The design seems sturdy and who doesn't love a mason jar, but the advertising is very misleading as this does not hold anywhere near 32 ounces of any liquid. If I hadn't already thrown away the box this would be on its way back to coffeemakers.us.com.

Ordered twice first time had ‘ER11’. Second time I ordered it came in a cardboard box with shattered glass. I was unlucky. On the positive side- it looked great, made a good cup of strong coffee.

My parents have this coffee maker at both their home and their vacation home. I was always amazed at how hot the coffee stayed in the carafe throughout the day, even 8 hours later. When my Keurig broke after 4 years of using it, I decided to splurge and purchase the Zojirushi. Sadly, the carafe I received does not even keep the coffee hot for a few hours after brewing. Bit of a disappointment and largely, just not worth the steep price in my opinion. Wishing I would have opted for the Keurig K-Duo.

  • With the ratio being 1.5 cups of coffee to 3 cups of water for cold brew, this canister does not work. The filter makes it so half of the coffee is not in the water so you can’t get concentrated cold brew with only half of the coffee brewing. The filter is not large enough to fit 3 cups of coffee into. That would work best to make a full 6 cups of cold brew. I’m sure it’s good for other uses but I bought it for cold brew

  • No leaking, great seal when pouring, easy to clean. The only thing is that I've had the product for about 2 weeks, there's a spot that's rusty already. I don't really like rust around something I'll be ingesting into my body.

The original coffee maker was faulty. The espresso pod compartment was a little out of alignment and could not puncture the pods- this is a semi common issue with this coffee maker system and a big deal since part of the allure is to be able to make espresso drinks. The “pause” function on the brewed coffee side also did not work. Coffee would continue to leak out onto the warming plate after the lever was in place. I ended up returning my original purchase and buying another one. The new one has worked great! It is kind of a bulky machine but it does look very nice.

  • This product works well, once installed. I installed this on a Keurig Duo coffee maker, which complicated the installation a bit. The float mechanism requires some clearance to operate properly. If your coffee pot has a simple rectangular water reservoir, then installation should be pretty straightforward. But the water reservoir on a Keurig Duo machine has curved sides and a curved lid. So the location where you mount the inlet (where you drill the hole), the angle that the elbow comes off the reservoir, and the float height setting require some very subtle adjustments that took a little time to perfect. (See attached pictures.) Nonetheless, this complicated installation was just because I put it on the Keurig Duo. I did eventually get these adjustments right and the float system works wonderfully. It keeps the reservoir water level consistent when brewing a full pot or doing a single cup with K-cups. One final hint: Once installed properly with water turned on, if you take the lid or reservoir off for some reason (although you don't need to do that normally) the float will drops and the water flows freely - a mess if you're not ready for it. ...nothing wrong with the product as it means the float is actually working properly. Bottom line is yes install the included shut-off value near the coffee maker (see picture), and yes turn off the water before removing the lid or reservoir.
