If I could give this coffee pot negative stars, it’s be -5. Our last coffee pot gave out after 5 years and I desperately grabbed the first coffee pot at the local small town hardware store until we could shop for one of our liking. (We live on an island in Alaska without access to big stores). Every single morning it takes about an hour to brew our coffee... it spits and sputters, shoots grounds everywhere, doesn’t drain well, and is a nightmare. I’d like to just throw it out the window and burn it for the satisfaction.
This coffee maker advertises as 12 cups. It is not. Super odd. I filled it up to the 12 cup points and then poured that water liquid into another coffee cup and you can see here that it only comes up to the 10 cup line. Curious for sure.
After breaking yet another carafe on my granite counter — which are over $40 to replace I decided I was too clumsy and meant for a stainless steel carafe. I like that it takes up a low profile on my counter. I like that the clear plastic makes makes it easy to see the water line. The filter basket sits in top of the carafe and does not slide into the body. I was not happy about that but it works fine. The coffee is very good. Oddly the recommended amount of coffee is about 2-3x what I was used to: 22 to 27 grams for 3 ups. It’s makes for a strong cup. Operation couldn’t be simpler: press a button. Red light goes on then off when done. If you want a “pre-Infusion” for freshly roasted coffee you press the button for 5 seconds and the red light flashers. (But who has freshly roasted coffee?)
This one is a small coffee maker, very handy and I'm sure it fits in every kitchen. I've had it for 3 months now and I love it!! It makes coffee really quick and it automatically adjusts temperature and amount of water to make it, because of the bar code system -which is cool. I have tried different coffees and so far my favorite is Tassimo Gevalia Italian Roast Coffee, extra bold.
I'm not sure there is such a thing as a perfect coffee maker. But the Bunn comes pretty close. Will brew you a pot of coffee FAST. It is a brand you can trust, and so far it is reliable. I like a strong cup of coffee and use filtered water, but this led to a big coffee ground mess and spills on the counter. As many have suggested, you will NEED to call them up and ask for a flow restrictor spray head. This is the primary reason I give 4 stars out of 5 - this unit is incomplete without one. Why they force their customers to take this extra step is beyond me. Worth noting that it was extremely easy and their customer service was fast and friendly. The new spray head does slow down the time it takes to brew coffee, but not too significantly. The Bunn is a worthy upgrade over cheaper competitors, and I do recommend this item, with the aforementioned caveats.
I just purchased this coffee maker and opened the package to find that the coffee machine has old beans and grinds all over the lid and the bag the machine sits in. This is disgusting and completely unacceptable coffeemakers.us.com!!!! I spent over $100 and expected to receive something new. This is terrible! I can't even get past the dirty machine to try and use it!!
All I wanted was a normal, basic, full-sized, reliable coffeemaker that just had an on/off switch. No touchscreens with endless options, LEDs, and alarms. That was the main reason I bought this specific model. It arrived today. I washed it out, filled it up with water and my normal coffee ratio of 1 heaping scoop to every four cups of water. I turned it on. It started brewing IMMEDIATELY. I mean, not like I walked into the other room and heard it start brewing soon. I mean, I turned on the switch, and it immediately started brewing. I stepped away to do something else for five minutes, and when I came back, it was already done. All 12 cups of coffee. A full pot of coffee. It was also pretty quiet. No hissing or screaming. And, it tastes delicious. I mentioned my personal coffee ratio above, and anyone who knows anything about brewing coffee knows that the temperature that you brew it at makes a big difference, and, while I don't know what temperature this coffeemaker is brewing the coffee at, it's apparently the exact correct temperature for hot-brewed coffee. Anyway, this seems to be a good, solid, productive coffeemaker. No extra whistles and streamers. Just a machine that brews good coffee. 'Nuff said.
At first, I loved this machine. It was much less expensive than other self-grinding espresso makers. However, I have had it for 5 months and water has begun leaking from the bottom whenever a larger cup of coffee has been made. I reached out to the company when this started a couple months ago with no response. Update: I reached out to the company again. They were very apologetic. A specialist reached out to me and sent me a new machine. The new machine is fantastic.
Good quality ceramic, does the job as described. Love it!
It’s beautiful and makes delicious coffee. Couldn’t be happier!
my daughter loved it!!! every morning of its :-)
This product is beautiful, utilitarian and keeps my tea consistently hot throughout the day! One thing I would note is that the tea strainer should be tapped down very lightly, but other than that it’s wonderful!
I just ordered a few days ago! To my surprise it was here! Light in weight! Perfect! Let them coffee, apple cider, soup, hot chocolate K Cups began! S happy!
Coffee pot is okay for the price but drips with every pour no matter how you do it. It brews properly and quickly and was easy to program. It does let you get a cup before its finished , which is nice. There is not a light behind the time display so it's hard to see. Perfectly average drippy Coffee maker!
I like this Bunn coffee brewer because it is fast and coffee brewered is hot. Love having a cup of hot coffee early in the morning.
