This product was sent to me in this condition. It looks like it was used or damaged

  • One job. It runs hot water through a pod. I plan on using it in our RV. It is difficult to fill with a coffee cup, so you’ll want something with a spout to keep from dripping water when filling it. As expected, at 800W it takes a bit longer than our full sized 1500W maker. It took 3:45 to heat 8oz of water from 67°F (tap water) to 160°F, about the standard temp at your local coffee conglomerate. I prefer hotter but it’s not adjustable. It is a little noisier than anticipated. It does a good job of using all the water added making it easy to wipe down and store off the counter. One concern, the manual states that breaking either of the pins, the greatest wear point, will void the warranty. Hopefully I’ll never need to test that.

This coffee maker replaces a proto Cuisinart model that had an always-on hot water dispenser where the new one has the single cup brewer. The dispenser ultimately went unused as the cost to essentially keep a kettle of water heated 24/7 was outrageous. Enter this little gem! I love the "k-cup" system for it's speed and versatility, even if I choose to fill my own reusable pod most of the time to avoid/reduce waste. What I cannot STAND though are Keurig's cheap-@$$ line of brewers, which I've never had last more than 8 months. This machine actually delivers! The drip coffee maker is what it is, and makes decent coffee just like it's predecessor did. The individual brewer is where it shines though! On-demand, it heats and dispenses the water needed for a 6, 8, or 10 ounce cup from a generous-sized reservoir. With the k-cup "cartridge" inserted you can use any k-cup. With the refillable filter "cartridge" inserted you can use your own coffee. And (best of all) with neither cartridge inserted, you've got a hot water dispenser that doesn't pickup any residual coffee flavor (because the water dispenses without passing through or over any coffee-making parts). Coffee from the single cup brewer tends to be a little less hot than I'd like after a splash of cream is added (though extraction has been just fine). It just makes me wish the output temperature for the single cup brewer were adjustable. Important note: The included "use your own coffee" cartridge and stainless filter basket assembly are a little larger capacity than normal k-cup dimensions, so I find it has no trouble at all holding at least 15 grams of medium-ground coffee for a proper cup. Your mileage may vary.

I recommend roasting 2 cups of beans at 220°C for 20 minutes for a medium to dark roast.

  • It’s compact and heats pretty quickly. Makes an ok cup of coffee. Bummer is how long it drips afterwards and the fact that it has no serviceable catch basin that most Keurigs have. Leaves a mess.

First, a single cup of coffee that comes out of this tastes amazing; HOWEVER, it really needs a better auto-off feature. As you can see from my photo, I wrote " Unplug me" to remind my boyfriend to turn it off (he still forgets 😅). The machine has an indicator light that shows when the cycle ends, and the machine turns off when the indicator light goes out at the end of the cycle; however, I think this is actually bad that the light turns off, because you mistakenly think the machine is off completely... it is not. The indicator light must be a temperature or pressure gauge. It is very easy to forget to turn off the brew setting on the knob. If the knob is turned to the brew setting, the machine kicks back on as soon as the temp and/or pressure goes down enough for it to think it's a new brew... then it kicks back on, heats up, turns off... rinse and repeat. This means is stays on for hours if you don't carefully adjust the knob or unplug the machine. Also, I mentioned it's good for one cup. If I try to make a second cup immediately, or if the machine has been left on, it leaks water and steam from the coffee tray - machine seam. (Where the metal cup attaches to the machine). I assume this is related to the temperature of the metal around the edge of the fittings. This causes a big mess, and a much smaller cup of coffee. I suppose it is one of the more affordable options, but you get what you pay for here. I'm probably going to replace it when I can afford a nicer one.

Perfect size for a single person or small apartment. I love the color. It has one of those baskets that doesn’t need a filter which is also nice.

This is a great machine. It's slim and starts dispensing great coffee in less than 30 seconds. Unlike the older ones, you no longer have to turn it on and wait for the tank to get up to temp before pressing 'brew'. It automatically goes to sleep until you open it to insert a cartridge. The lights come on and all you do is press your cup size. It's slim and doesn't require much counter space. I make 12oz cups, so I have to fill the back, removable, reservoir every 2 or 3 cups. Consequently, it wouldn't be the best choice for a party or multiple users, but it's perfect for one or two users. Notes: - The color matching Keurig K cup holders were added. There was no SKU in the listing, so I attached a photo. - I also added self-stick nylon rollers on the bottom so it doesn't scratch my granite when I slide it out for use. Great machine for a good price.

UPDATE!! The single serve feature stopped working after 6 weeks. We went through the warranty process, but they did not have the same unit to replace ours. It will be 4-6 weeks of waiting for a check in the mail. Meanwhile, I found another unit at Target. However, the single serve did not work right out of the box. Returned that one as defective. At least we got our refund right away. I CANNOT recommend these brewers. We have very low cabinet clearance, 13.5 in. We've wanted a dual brewer for quite some time, but they all were too tall for our space. This unit fits our space perfectly. Still learning the ins and outs, but pleased so far.

I liked the removable water container and that the basket swing out for easy fill. Everything else is wrong with this... and I didn’t just have a defective machine. Both machines had standing water in the brew baskets after the machine beeped that it was done brewing. (See picture). Grounds were in the coffee every time and they overflowed out of the filter. A mess to clean up every time.

Fast delivery! Absolutely love it coffee tastes so much better then the Mr Coffee maker I had. I recommend this coffee maker

  • This coffee maker is a multicapsule espresso, cold and hot brewing machine. It comes with attachments to change between K-Cups, ground, Dolce Gusto, and Nespresso. There are 2 metal capsules to use with grounds and small coffee packs. It can brew cold and hot. The machine works well and appears very sturdy. It has some weight to it and doesn't tip over during use. Tall cups do not fit, even if the drip tray is removed, but this is a compact coffee maker with a small footprint. This also comes with a scoop for measuring coffee grounds and an instruction manual. Overall, this is a well-built, sturdy coffee maker that makes great tasting coffee.

This evenly roasts but you'll get some plain dry coffee no oils coming off no smell of roasting coffee. My popcorn maker works better than this. I have to roast again in my popcorn maker and this one only does small batches same as popcorn maker

  • The pot leaks coffee when poured approx 1" below the spout! The unit is 3 months old. This is my second pot purchased with same issue. Shame on me!

This Breville BDC400 Precision Brewer Coffee Maker with Glass Carafe comes with pleanty of instructions but when followed it is quite easy to set up and I haven't had to return to the manual after going through the process one time. The quick start guide is useful but I highly recommend also looking at the greater detail with each step. For example, the water needs to be tested for hardness as a first step after the initial washing of the coffee maker parts before the first usage. This is no biggie. You fill the reservoir with whatever water you will use most often and dip in for one second, the test strip they give you. You wait for a minute and based on the hardness of the water, anywhere from one to five dots will darken. You then enter those numbers in. The coffee maker will then optimize for the hardness of your water. Then, with a push of the button, the reservoir of the water processes through the coffee maker, making it clean inside. After that, you just empty the carafe, refill the reservoir and you're good to go. You can brew with a basket style permanent filter, a paper filter in the basket, or a cone filter. If you choose to go the cone route, you will have to buy filters. I found that using the basket style brewing with paper filters tastes best and the instruction book hints say as much. This maker is really built of quality materials and it does a great job of brewing an excellent cup of coffee. And, believe it or not, you can brew a single cup even though it isn't a single cup brewer. What a versatile maker. I am a coffee connoisseur and I recommend it highly.
