To prepare a pour-over with this brewer: 1) Wet a #2 cone filter. A dry one will not stay in the brewer. 2) Perform all preparation on the counter. The brewer is plastic and can easily tip over if placed on the mug prior to filling. 3) Support the brewer with one hand while pouring with the other.

  • This is the second one I ordered and both arrived with the handle broken off I’m not sure if it is due to handling and shipping of product or if it it cheaply made Either way I do not recommend this product and I was so looking forward to using it for my tea and coffee

  • Worked great until it didn’t. Can’t buy a replacement filter so in the garbage it goes. Had it for 6 months. What a waste. They got my $70 bucks though so I suppose that’s good enough for them.

I'm a fan of Cuisinart, but wanted to try something different from the carafe. I love the look of this machine and happy I made the purchase. My favorite feature is having my cup sitting & waiting in the morning after the timer has brewed, and all I have to do is press the lever and an illuminated stream of coffee is dispensed in a dimly lit kitchen. The drawback would be the extra steps for the cleaning. You have the coffee grounds basket which sits in another basket, which sits in the insulated reservoir where the coffee is kept hot. The java reservoir/container doesn't need to be cleaned every day. Then you of course have to fill the water tank on the side. You can find some videos on YouTube that show all of these steps, which makes it easier to understand. I'm happy with the purchase and think it's great idea from the everyday carafe coffee maker.

This does make a good cup of coffee but I don't know that it's better than a v60 or other similar pour over option. I was disappointed to see it only includes 1 Reusable cloth filter. The images seemed to show multiple and that's misleading. The filter is a pain to clean, especially if it's not fully dry. Otherwise you are rinsing coffee grains down the sink, which isn't good for your plumbing. The travel case is a nice touch as is the little bowl for your pour over to drain into. The glass coffee cup is serviceable, but I prefer my standard cup.

  • I purchased this unit in October of 2023. When I first got it and plugged it in it kept showing an E21 error code. I was finally able to get it cleared. It worked for about a 6-7 weeks and started with the E21 error again. This time it would not clear. So I reached out to Braun directly. It took about 6 weeks to get the replacement. Opened the new (#2) one only to see the body of the machine was cracked. Plugged it in and used about 4 days and it threw the same error code AGAIN. Contacted Braun again and they sent out a 3rd machine. Opened it and again had a huge broken piece in the body, used it for 3 days and, you guessed it, E21 error code. I have contacted them again and awaiting confirmation of them sending my 4th coffee maker 🤦🏼‍♀️ I have never had such an issue with a small appliance being so defective. They obviously know this is a problem but don’t or won’t correct the problem. They also will not issue a refund because of their warranty policy which is ridiculous!! My advice is DO NOT PURCHASE THIS COFFEE MAKER!!

  • I'm sad that I have to give this a bad review because I as looking forward to this product more than some other products I buy from coffeemakers.us.com. I've been hearing amazing things about french presses and have been wanting to buy one for awhile now and finally did. The issue I have with this is even though the coffee is rich and tastes good when using this you get some of the coffee grinds because if you can see by my picture it doesn't go all the way to the bottom of the glass container of the french press. So, they float all around and end up slipping into the cup. If they can fix this issue and make these particular ones so they go all the way down then this problem will be solved. I tried two other of their coffee french presses and only one of them goes all the way to the bottom. That one I have no issues with. This one I wouldn't buy again unless they changed the way the grind issues happens so it doesn't. This isn't a personally one time mistake because I read reviews on this one and the one other french press from them that doesn't go all the way down and other mentioned about that issue. So, keep that in mind when buying this. If you do not care about some grinds getting into your cup then this is good for you. I didn't want that and do not like when that happens personally. I recieved this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion.

Comes in a retail box. Inside protected with plastic bags and foam inserts. Includes a coffee scoop and a reusable filter. Standard plastic coffee maker with a Glass Carafe. Rinse out before using, then dry it off. Plug it in. Cord is around 28" long. Coffee Maker is around 13" tall closed up. Setting up the clock is easy. Click hour to set your hour. Click Minutes to set your minutes. LED panel has a blue background with black text. Easy to read. Pause function is not something i use, but when you remove the Carafe while brewing it will pause. Returning the Carafe the unit will finish the brew. Program for tomorrow morning, something else i normally don't use, but did try it out. You gotta move kinda quick to set the time, that was the only thing i didn't like. Seems like your getting rushed to click the brewing time. I've purchased several basic coffee makers over the years and not a one ever included a reusable filter, i had to go buy filters or buy a reusable filter. Such a nice touch and one less trip to the box store or online store. The one thing i like the most is just the sound it makes when the coffee is brewing. (stem puffs)

Update - That one small issue is worth going with another model. Actually here are 2 major issues.....The panel isn't illuminated at all so if you are stumbling about before dawn trying to get coffee you have to turn on pretty bright lights to see if it needs water for the single serve. But the major reason I don't have this one less than a year after I bought it was the overflow issue is a big deal. without any water level indicator, it's a crapshoot. I had a pitcher that if we filled up to a certain level it was the perfect amount when empty. being proactive and filling it the night before even if there was still a little water in the tank caused it to overflow....the last time water poured out the little whole in the back, into my elcetrical socket and in the process of trying to get everthing out of the way it fell off the counter. I went with the model without the grinder, SS-15 series. It's completely illuminated, has an on//off switch and removable clear tank for the single serve side, cone basket in the coffee pot, and warmining plate temp button. Also much smaller profile. I'll stick to the stand alone grinder. Kicking myself for a $200+ mistake. Come on Cuisinart..... no lights, water damage to my counter, no water level indicator, and a HUGE shock hazard because the overflow is in the back with everything in hard to see black plastic. The last picture is my new one the others show the water level indicator on the pot side, none on the single side and the overflow hole in the back. I looked at 100+ coffee makers and reviews. I was replacing a name brand k cup maker (our 3rd one in 6 years and with everyone of them the quality was a bit worse). But, the hubby wanted to be able to have a "pot" of coffee once in a while. Of all the coffee makers we have had in the past, Cuisinart was the only one that never broke, I only get rid of it because I was tired of cleaning it several times a day and decided to go kcup route. of course my unicorn maker would have a pot, single serve, hot water, grind, and make cold brew, but this was the closest in the price I wanted to pay. I have to say this one is pretty good! the quality was spot on, sturdy, stainless and heavy duty plastic. Very easy to clean, and has a little fold down shelf so nothing splashes all over the place when using the single serve. The one CON - after reading reviews I now understand what people were talking about. On the single serve side there is a reservoir that holds about 40 ozs. of water but there is no window to see the water level, and there's a overflow outlet in the back, so if you overfill it water will come rushing out of that hole......learned this the hard way. and because everything is black, the back, inside, cover you can't see how much water is in it. There is a icon that appears on the display (waterdrop), to let you know to fill it, and it won't run if there is no water, so we have just gotten used to filling it only when it runs out. I have a container that holds the perfect amount without causing overflow. How hard would it have been to add a window like the carafe side???? Also the cover for the single serve isn't attached...not a deal breaker. The coffee though is excellent, even on the single serve side it's better than other brands, and the water is dispersed throughout the whole kcup or filter. The built in grinder is also nice and very easy to clean everything! I also bought the gold filter single and it's excellent! Well worth the price and the small headaches!

  • The tasting glass, which is double walled, is defective. When the glass is blown, there is a small nib at the bottom that is very delicate. Overtime, after setting the glass down on hard surfaces (like my kitchen counter top), this nib broke free allowing both air and water into the void between the side walls. Given the cost of Fellows’ products, quality controlled could be improved. This is true of their other products as well, like their EKG electric kettle which has flimsy control knob that sometimes just refuses to work.

I don’t usually write bad reviews, but this coffee maker is junk. I won’t buy Black & Decker again. What I don’t like about it: you have to keep turning the filter around and around before it drops into its slot. Every time I fill the water part, I make 12 cups. I’m very careful about filling water for just under the 12. It still goes over and then I have coffee spilling on my counter. Unfortunately, I did not save the box, so I’m going to see if someone in my building wants it and I’m going to buy a Mr. Coffee machine.

  • I buy a lot of different juices for variety so frequently I have to throw some out because I can't finish them. This size pitcher is the perfect capacity for sharing, now I can give my sister down the street half of my 64oz of juice that I purchased. I will definitely be getting more of these. The pitcher looks cool, functions nicely due to its carry handle, large mouth and spout that clicks closed. So far no leaks on the item I received. The glass is pretty thick and durable for regular day to day use. I included a picture of a small 16oz water bottle for size comparison.

  • This machine works as well as machines costing four to five times as much. I recommend it highly!

it can not fit a regular size my and is completely useless if you want to make more than 4 oz of coffee at once
