  • I purchased this thinking, I’m spending more than I did w my first one but will have an auto frother and it’ll be so easy. But the frother doesn’t froth the milk hardly at all. Also, the tube of the frother goes into your cup to dispense the milk. If I allowed it to submerge into the milk that was dispensed (I hoped it wld froth more) it just spit milk everywhere. A huge cleaning job. Even if I don’t allow it, the makers size doesn’t allow for a small cup to be removed once the process is done without spillage. I’ve removed the drain plate and still a tea cup that’s 2/3 filled spills everywhere when I try to take it out fr under the machine. (I used a tea cup for a dbl latte) Also, there is a part in the owners manual that tells you how to customize a drink. So I followed the instructions and it stopped at the same level as a double latte. I also cannot make a skinny latte because the machine will only take whole milk. Low fat people, this machine is not for you. It curdles low fat milk. Now for the work afterwards…because it heats up (and it does heat both milk and espresso up well) but the heat will cause the milk to stick to the inside of the frother unless you clean it IMMEDIATELY after making a cup. So much for getting a cup of coffee and relaxing with it while it’s hot! No, you have to clean the machine first. In other words, the auto frother isn’t worth the hassle. Which means I purchased something that’s should make things easier and it just complicated my morning more! This baby is going back!

  • This product is advertised as unbreakable but I’ve had this only a few weeks and it fell into the sink off the counter and broke. This is the second one I’ve had break. I do not recommend.

It is poor quality, but it does the job. Not sure how long it will last, it's only been used about 4 times. You have to push down the lid harder than normal before the lights light up. Not slamming it shut, but pushed harder than most would do. I got what I paid for.

  • This is a great way to brew a nice cup of coffee. I say a cup of coffee as I tend to brew about 500 ml of coffee as a single serving. That is a pretty good sized cup though. if you want teacup sized brew this will do you 4 cups. It is made from a nice light durable borosilicate glass. it should work for decades as long as its not dropped or hit hard. The included filter is nice and easy to clean, just add 35g your medium-fine grounds, pour over 600mL 85C water and let it brew/filter down the water. it takes a bit as things siphon down and you add more water but 3-4 min and with good control yields 600 mL of coffee. Since the grounds are separate unlike a french press you can just remove the funnel and it will not get stronger and more bitter over time. No trash in the end, just some easy to compost coffee grounds and a washable filter. I am also a Gardner so I do my own compost pile and the grounds go straight into there.

**Update / Hazard Warning** After using this product in for a few months, it's started to show corrosion on the glass-facing size of the sheet metal. To make this worse, it's hard to clean this area so food residue (from putting this into the sink) collects and stays there. Corrosion also shows on where the nuts screw in. Gross. What really got me to drop my rating is this thing is a HAZARD. The corners on the rolled "grid" sheet metal wrapped around the glass only wraps a little past where the handle is welded. Further, these edges are UNFINISHED. Lesson learned when I was cleaning this press one day and sliced my finger open on one of said edges. ************************ It does its job, but isn't worth the ~$9 I paid for it. It's a laugh to suggest its list price is $26.95. $6.95 would be about right for this thing. I'm used to Bodums, so to me, this flimsy bucket belongs in the dollar store. The cap and plunger wobbles, due to nuts used as fasteners on both the mesh plunger and the top knob. The top is plastic, and the beaker does not remove. That being said, if you want something for the office, or dorm, this thing won't get stolen. It also does its job somewhat satisfactorily, so eh, you get what you pay for.

  • I don't drink coffee, but my wife loves a cup in the mornings. After coming back from a 2 week adventure in Great Britain, she commented that she really enjoyed the coffee from the French Press at the B&Bs we stayed in, so I ordered this when we got home. Now it's her fun thing to do each morning! It's also easy to clean : - )

  • Initially was worried it has not too many reviews. No info about water temperature. So once I got it delivered, I ran a test brew and did a temperature measuring. You can find a full video review with temperature test on youtube. Pros: - Appearance. It looks interesting and attracts attention. - Water temperature test showed results within the recommended 195-205F range. - Programmable feature is what I was looking for. - A reusable coffee filter is a plus if you don't like paper filters. Cons: - Not really a cons but it's big and tall. It fits between countertop and cabinets but you need to move it out to open the water reservoir lid and to add a coffee. I wish Cuisinart had a smaller 6-8-cup version of this coffeemaker. - Again. Not really a cons but a thing to be aware of. Even without using "Bold" mode the coffee gets very strong and if you don't grind beans to medium-coarse it can get bitter. Overall it's great coffeemaker that makes pretty good coffee.

I bought this as a gift and I was pleasantly surprised after we used it. I honestly have no complaints, and so far it seems to be pretty sturdy. Not difficult to clean, holds a good amount of coffee. Also! This arrived very well packaged and not at all damaged.

  • $23 for such a nice pot! I must tell you that it really only makes about 45 to 48 ounces without becoming too full. Still, that’s lots of coffee and I recently wasted 60 on a 52oz famous name pot that I hated so much and they wouldn’t take back but I couldn’t stand to use so I bought this one and I am so glad I did! It’s super basic. Doesn’t even have an arrow to point out the opening but I can deal with that. I’m only using one of the two screens they sent for extra filtration but we like what we call “chewy coffee” so this will allow the filters to last twice as long. It’s pretty chewy though! None of the filters I have already will fit this pot so I hope to be ble to replace these when and if…

This is my 3rd Grind and Brew unit in the past 15 years. I love them. I got this newer model in August 2021. I’ve always gotten the insulated carafe. It seems I got a defective cover as it does not sit correctly on the pot and it comes apart. It doesn’t affect the brewing process but it just bothers me that I got the lemon. I would recommend the product itself and have never had another problem.

  • Love this french press.. does the job. So easy to use.. and looks beautiful. One negative, it didn't come with the scoop as advertised..

  • Bought it for my brother and he uses it frequently. 👍
