Reservoir only holds enough for 1 cup and limited space for coffee cup. Tall cup would not fit
I use this for my personal morning brew, so I don’t have to go downstairs for my java—sometimes it’s just hard to wake up. It does take a bit longer to brew than the full-size keurig but its small footprint makes up for the extra minute. It’s a handy little keurig! UPDATE—-after just under 3 weeks, the Keurig K15 has quit working. It spits out about 2 ml of fluid, then sounds very loud and quits. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING.
I thought I would save money with this instead of going to the coffee shop daily. Followed all maintenance according to the manual including descaling etc. Suddenly the machine gives me this error message. I follow all instructions to get rid of it but it appears every time I try to brew coffee. No answer at Gaggia, no help online from coffeemakers.us.com or Gaggia. Waste of time and money. Very disappointed.
Was excited to get this product. I am a coffee addict and not afraid to admit it. However when I got the item, I could hear some rattling when I started to remove the items from the box. After further investigation, I found that the glass spiral tube was shattered. Needless to say. I'm a little disappointed that I had to wait a week for the product to arrive and now I can't even use it. 😫 So right now my overall rating is low. However it I get a replacement part and actually get to taste the coffee I will update my rating.
The carafe itself is fine. I've never had an issue there. The problem is the filters are flimsy and hard to find a replacement for or they're so expensive that it's just cheaper to replace the whole darn thing. This one broke in less than a year. The bottom of the filter popped off. I bought a new set up in December because the last filter had broken as well.
I've had this machine for 2 1/2 years now and it has started going South. It is not dispersing the correct amount of water. I've tried the troubleshooting solutions offered in the manual to no avail. This morning I attempted to make a 14 oz cup of coffee as I do every morning and when the buzzer went off I went to fetch my coffee. I had a teaspoon of coffee in my cup. That was the last straw. Honestly, this machine has always had some kind of issue. Mostly with the amount of coffee it would grind. I've had to calibrate it several times but it eventually seemed to work itself out. I bought a warranty for this product based on the reviews and I'm glad I did. I have submitted a claim and will be purchasing another coffee machine but it will not be this one. It had one job to do and it never really did it consistently. It was a nice concept but it does not work and apparently Breville does not care because they have not addressed the complaints/issues so I'm back to the drawing board. I think I'll buy a separate coffee grinder and coffee maker. Neither will be a Breville. I read all the reviews, good and bad, and weighed my options. The winning feature that sold me on this machine was that I could fill the water tank to capacity and it would disperse water according to the number of cups/ounces I wanted. Setup was stupid easy. Wash all the parts. Put it back together. Run a couple of tanks of water through it to clean out any nasties that may be lurking and walla! You are ready to go. I did get a little surprise when I plugged it up. The measurements showed up in milliliters. Oh no! You mean I have to convert? Have no fear. Just grab your trusty manual and it will tell you how to toggle to ounces. You do have to customize it to your liking which could take at least a week. For instance, you have to get the grind size right for your beans and tweak the strength according to your taste. Making single adjustments at a time will eventually get you there. I also tossed the included gold toned filter to the side and opted for paper filters. I don't like the muddiness you get from those mesh filter baskets. I have never made a pot of coffee so I've never used the carafe. I only make one cup a day so I only use the single serving mode which is freaking awesome. By the way, a cup of coffee to Breville is a paltry 5 oz. My cup is 12 to 14 oz depending on the vessel I'm using that day. With the single serving mode, the water infuses with the coffee for a period of time depending on your strength before it is released into the cup. This is quite important because when making small amounts of coffee, the water would not be in contact with the coffee long enough to extract its goodness and would produce a weak cup of joe which is the basis of a lot of complaints concerning grind and brew coffee makers. This infusion feature is the cure for that. Now I've seen a few complaints/comments about the daily cleaning routine for this machine. I'm not sure why. Like setup, daily cleanup is a breeze. A few damp coffee grounds are left on the silver plate that opens to let the coffee drop into the basket and a few dry grinds fall into the catch tray underneath. You simply wipe the grounds off the plate, dump the tray and rinse the coffee basket. Takes less than 30 seconds. I've added a few photos that show the machine after a brew cycle, after I've wiped the plate down and even the grinder when dissembled. The grinder is a little fuzzy but there is nothing but dust in there. A couple more things. I don't like the brush that came with the machine. I will be purchasing another small stiff bristled brush to brush away the grounds. And since some people complained of the machine giving up the ghost way to soon, I brought a 4-year warranty from Square Trade for $30 bucks. If it does break I'm covered.
So sad to leave this review because besides the leak I love this machine. I’ve tried everything and can not find the problem. The leak is substant
Great products, makes great Cold Brew Coffee. I have able to impress my co-workers who know want to start their own journey into Cold Brew coffee.
I like cold brew year round and this may be my favorite method/machine yet! It’s so easy to assemble, use and clean. In about 15 minutes I was impressed with how rich and bold the brew was, with no grounds like others I’ve tried. I liked the iced maple vanilla oat latte recipe in the manual also. It looks great on my kitchen counter. It’s lightweight and stable with the base suction cups. It makes a little noise but much less than I expected (& less than my Nespresso machine).
Careful. My cold brew maker cork cap started growing mold out of nowhere. Definitely steer clear.
I love this ! Was a game changer i love making cold brew coffee and the previous one i had was plastic. Which got ruined in the dishwasher..curtsey of my brother... anyways .. i found this one at the time and price was decent. Which now is one of the many stape accessories in my kitchen.
Great little Coffee Maker, can only recommend if your already invested in the Makita Eco-System as it is quite battery hungry to brew a cup of Coffee. Have put it though it's paces. Will brew about 2 1/2 eight ounce cups on a 6 Amp hour Makita Battery and about 4 1/2 cups off of one 9 Amp hour battery.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!! IT STARTS ON FIRE!! As you can see I had this product four months and this happened today! First of all the water goes all over the place-bad design plus it burns the heat plate. Piece of cr#@@#$!!! JUST TO WARN U-MR. COFFEE USED TO BE A GREAT PRODUCT UNTIL THEY MADE ALL PLASTIC COFFEE MAKERS!!! CRAPPY CHINA!
What I really like is how much water the reservoir takes. I love that I don't have to constantly fill it up. I also find it quieter than my last one. The coffee tastes great and it looks great on the counter. I haven't had any issues with the milk frother like some of the other reviewers. It heats it up or keeps it cold while frothing - I think it's perfect!
This is my second Keurig I have bought on coffeemakers.us.com and my last. They both do not brew correctly and leak. Kinda frustrating, followed the instructions and nothing. I bought this one for our camper because of how small it is and it leaks and the coffee just drips.
