Makes a nice cup of coffee but not sure it's worth the extra expense of the machine for the flavor alone. I like dark roast coffee and I'm not sure I have the palate of some of the coffee officionados out there. However it is an attractive machine on my countertop and I enjoy using it. I was using a chemex for years and grew tired of spending the extra time in the morning with the pour over process. I now use a Bluetooth timer switch and have my coffee ready for me when I wake up. I also experienced the overflow problems that some other people have complained about from the machine. The fix for this is folding over the bottom and the side of the number 4 filters where they're crimped I've been doing this and haven't had a problem since. I have included some pictures of this with this review.
Either makes a half a cup of coffee, or overfill and spills a whole pot of boiling water all over your countertop. I will NEVER purchase anything from this company again. We've had more success from our 40$ Mr.Coffee that we threw away after we bought this assuming it would be the last coffee pot we would ever need.
I bought this item last year. The description wasn't clear and I thought it would be made of glass like the Bodum products that I used to own. Then it started getting thermal shock cracks in the bottom but it didn't leak. Today I filled with water and it started leaking really bad so now it's in the garbage. This is exactly why I wouldn't have bought this item if I knew it was plastic and not glass.
Wits very pretty and brews beautifully. I haven’t had any issues so far. If I could change one thing it would be the “scream” from the steamer. Because it’s so loud I barely use it. It wakes up everyone lol. Other than that it’s pretty good.
I love mine I got it for Christmas last year and its wonderful I love Cold Brew and this makes it easy. The only con (and loses a star for it) is the filter it's not easy to clean but the rest is a breeze. It's a beautiful addition to my kitchen
Was so excited to try this out, used my last coffee grounds and as soon as I filled with water the spicket (definitely in the off position) started leaking. Filled up a glass in 20 minutes. Extremely disappointed.
I mostly use it for iced tea and lemonade, and it keeps e0verything fresh with the airtight seal. the pour spout lid is convenient and doesn’t spill, which is a plus. the size is good for a small group, though it might feel a bit bulky for the fridge. cleaning is easy, but the lid can be tricky to dry. overall, a good, reliable jar for everyday use, just slightly on the heavy side.0
With the double filter process; it has been the best coffee yet! Having LifeBoost coffee with this and it has been revolutionary! Never using the plastic ridden Keurig system again.
Purchased because of the easy-to-access and clean cold water reservoir. Makes great coffee. Very smooth and tasty. Update: I would recommend getting the KBT model instead of the KBGT. The KBGT has a feature that prevents the machine from dripping coffee when the carafe is pulled away. The machine operates correctly when the carafe is pressed up against the "automatic drip-stop bracket". However, if the machine is canted slightly up because it is not seated exactly in the footplate notch, the bracket will not engage the release on the drip basket. This will then prevent the drip-stop from allowing the flow of coffee into the carafe. Coffee and grounds will then overflow the basket. This issue could be solved by removing the footplate altogether but the carafe will not engage the bracket at all if it is not in place. This problem has caused me to overflow the machine twice now while brewing. Overall a good machine with a serious design flaw. If you do get it, be very careful when you move the machine around on your countertop to clean or brew. If the base is not seated in the footplate you will have a big mess on your hands!
Best travel full-immersion brewer french press out there. Espro is legit! Makes a clean, no sludge cup of your favourite coffee (best paired with freshly roasted speciality coffee of course) Extraction stops and seals off when you plunge it and stays warm for a few hours!
I absolutely love this! It is so thin, sleek in the slim! Fits perfectly under the cabinet not bulky like the original, and still does the same job! Love the ice coffee feature!!
I bought two of them because I really liked the design but they both ended up the same: broken. A very small bump into anything else will break the glass, it’s too fragile. Both time happened when I was cleaning it, slightly touched the sink and broke. That was my last buy I am switching to another one. 2* because design is nice and works as intended but too expensive to be this fragile.
After my keurig quit on me after 2 years, I bought the instant pot solo, which also died literally within a week. Back to the coffee drawing board! This pot is expensive for not being programmable etc but it’s worth it. The pour over method is very simple and easy to get used to. The materials are great quality and very sturdy. This machine does not have any thin cheap plastic or wobbly pieces. It’s also cool to look at! Sort of a retro vibe while modern at the same time. If loving a coffee maker is wrong I don’t want to be right.I use a slightly heaping 1/2 cup for a full pot and the coffee is perfect. The non drip spout I was skeptical about but it actually does work and makes a difference in the ease of use. The perfect coffee maker!
We didn't know how bad our last coffee maker was..... Makes a great cup of coffee.... Beans grinds well but it does create more clean up than just the grounds basket before next pot Timed brew was easy to set and has performed perfect. The pod side does well and it let's you pick 10 or 12 oz of water to customize your tea or coffee. So good overall hope it last awhile
This is a great portable espresso machine. It works really well, but the instructions are not great. If you don't have a base idea of how espresso is made, you may need to watch a YouTube on it. The instructions also don't really describe the list of parts included so you kind of have to go with the pictures. There is one piece that we can't figure out what it's supposed to be used for - we thought initially it was supposed to be a stability item to hold the espresso maker over a cup, but it doesn't work for that on any of the cups we tried. It's heavier than I expected, so if you're doing a light backpacking situation this may add more weight than what you want. There is no stand, so if you're using a larger cup, you have to just hold the espresso maker the entire time (~2 minutes). It came packaged very well and comes with a carrying case. We plan on taking this with us for road trips because a lot of hotels don't have great coffee (or coffee makers) available, plus for car camping along the way. The charger is USB (C as the input, A as the ouput).
