This is professional brewing equipment for not much more than top of the line home equipment. Without top mounted warmer and several inches shorter than the VPR models it fits under wall cabinets. A huge plus for us. Bunn is used through the coffee business and produces superior coffee. To save on electricity I suggest putting on a timer. In our case, we have it come on at 5:30 am and off at 10am.
I ordered this a week or so ago. Opened this morning and the filter is missing
When considering a coffee pot, the important features include: Taste, Design, The Ease to Clean, and The Ease to Use. This Coffee Pot gets 5 stars in all these categories. TASTE: Full Flavor Taste - The Ability to Control Bold Flavor with a Rich Brew button also. DESIGN: Looks like a quality coffee pot that fits in nicely with many style kitchens. The lighting on the buttons is crisp as well. The timer works well and the pot can be set to stay warm. There is also a setting for a small batch of up to just 4 cups. EASE TO CLEAN: The water tank is fully removable and seats well in the machine with one hand. This makes all the difference in keeping the water tank clean of mineral build up. - This option really sets this pot ahead of so many others. EASE TO USE: You can fill the water tank with it attached as the tank has a HUGE opening. The tank is set to the side so when putting in the grinds there is little risk of contaminating the water tank. However, because its removable, this would be no issue to get clean. I am a converted Ninja Fan! This will always be my go to pot! Kudos to the engineers involved in this design!
This makes great coffee! The water out of the dispenser is about 175 degrees Fahrenheit. That's hotter than my other coffeemaker. I use less coffee than it suggests. Its four-cup measurement is actually 20 ounces. They suggest four tablespoons of coffee. I use one rounded coffee measure. I like to make one 12 ounce cup and I can do that with this just fine. It takes about 3 minutes. When you make a full pot, keep in mind that there is no "pause and serve" feature. You have to wait until the entire amount is finished. The pot is on the inside and the heating plate is on the inside. You can have the plate stay on for up to four hours. I don't think this concept is going to catch on. It's a novel idea and I like it, but it's large. My other 12 cup coffeemaker is about 9 1/2 inches in depth. This one is 12 inches. It's the largest coffeemaker I think I've ever seen. And the dispenser isn't all that quiet. It's not really loud, but someone asleep in the next room may hear it. I usually get up first and quietly make coffee. The dispenser is the loudest part of this process. And like I said, you have to wait until the entire pot is made before you can serve the first cup. The clean-up is easy - not as easy as just cleaning a carafe, but it's about the same. You just slide the carafe out and take it apart. The heating plate is on the inside. The carafe is on the inside. It uses a pump to dispense coffee. It's about the same as using a conventional coffeemaker, but just pumping from the internal carafe. I'm not sure I see the point in that, actually. It is a one-handed dispenser operation, instead of setting a cup down and pouring, if you only have one hand to use at that moment. But, it does make great coffee!
So I bought this to make 7brew at home without having to spend a ton on an espresso machine! While the product does exactly what it says it’ll do I highly recommend some trial and error situations. I believe my coffee grounds may be too fine or maybe it was user error, but I managed to get coffee grounds through a single filter. Pro: Relatively inexpensive Easy to use Beginner friendly Con: Takes a little trial and error but all things do!
I really did not need the WIFI, but this model was actually a lot cheaper than the non-WiFi model! This does brew a pretty good cup of coffee, but seen some complain that is does not brew at fast as a keurig, which true, because the keurig stays on for up to 2 hours after you brew, but that is going to cost more in electrical to run. This one shuts off immediately, so a energy saver for taking longer to brew is fine with me! I hooked up the WiFi, and it activated on coffeemakers.us.com for automatic ordering. Just wanted to see how it worked, than I disabled the feature, because pods are very expensive, compared to ground coffee, so I only use this machine for that. If you don’t mind paying for the pods, the automatic ordering feature is a cool feature, because the coffee maker keeps track of how many cups you brewed in the app, which is useful if you like to track statistics. Also like other reviewer said, it is louder than my other brand, but I don’t care. Kinda more sounds like a coffee percolator.
Open package to find out that the pitcher has a Crack going down the front I'm not happy about it and the tea maker works great with my other pitcher that goes to my old tea maker I still would like to have a nother tea pot to replace the first one
Excellent for any hot beverage, I use it to heat water on a single serve hot tea, hot choc. Just fill the water tank, remove the coffee filter...put under a cup, brew the water. I LOVE IT!!!
I really wanted to like this coffee maker, mostly because I own a Zojirushi Bread maker and it is a stellar appliance. So, I figured brand quality, right? Despite reading some dicey reviews regarding the brewed coffee being “too weak”. We aren’t fans of super strong coffee. In fact, we had used just 6-8 grams per cup with our last three Bona Vita coffee makers. We were excited to use the (very pretty) Zojirushi and followed instructions to the letter, including the enclosed scoop. Next morning (we set the timer, a nice touch) poured the coffee and—ugh—it was far too weak. I repeated the process four times (requiring 48 minutes of hankering for coffee), increasing to nearly double the recommended measure of coffee. And it was still awful. Coffee and time sadly wasted. We gave up, figuring it wouldn’t be cost effective to double our coffee budget to accommodate this new pot. I returned it and purchased our 4th Bona Vita.
What a POS. This is the second unit that has proven to be poorly constructed. Actually makes a decent cup of coffee but the quality of workmanship is horrendous. There wasn’t a quality category here so this is the review you get.
The machine itself is fantastic and a marvel of technology, the coffee is nearly as good as I make with my manual espresso machine only it’s 1 million times faster and perfect every time. The machine was heavier than I expected when I lifted out of the box. There’s definitely a lot more to this than a simple Keurig that’s for sure and also the coffee this machine produces puts a Keurig to shame. The only thing I’ve noticed is there is an aftertaste that lingers long after you are done drinking your coffee you don’t get from a manual espresso machine, but it’s not as bad as it sounds. The reason for the low score was the quality of the box I received it had a hole in the side from a tape machine used at the factory or at coffeemakers.us.com and the entire inside of the carton and all the pods smelled strongly of mildew/mold, which my wife is allergic. I was going to return it for another one, but the machine itself does not seem to smell like mildew and we thoroughly washed it. The container that holds the pods smelled like mildew along with all the paperwork and we had to wash the pods off too. All the cardboard and paper head to go in the recycle bin outside immediately! I would highly recommend this coffee machine over a Keurig any day and being a coffee connoisseur that’s saying something. The machine does much more than just brew coffee like a Keurig. It actually has extra motors inside that actually froths the crème without using any milk (I was really amazed by this, it’s all programmed in based on the pod you insert to do different things) and the system is completely robotic so you just push up lightly on the handle and the machine opens itself, you place the pod, press the only button it has to make the coffee and then the next time you open it it dumps the pod into a container in the back. If I had purchased this item before my manual espresso machine, I don’t think I would’ve bought the manual unit. This is so much faster. The only thing is you have absolutely no control over how the coffee is made, the machine does everything for you. I might upgrade to the unit with the milk attachment in the future, we’ll have to see how it goes. The pods are a little more expensive for this machine, but let me tell you; they are well worth every penny for the simplicity and the taste.
Need larger version. I misread and thought these were about the size of my jars (84 oz). But I like the concept and ease of getting the grinds out. Sure beats the strainer/paper towel option I had been using. But since we go through a lot of coffee and I don’t like making concentrate I was needing to start brewing every night. I like a12 hour brew. So I was thinking I wonder if I can put the top jar. Well yes and no. It’s not snapped on tight but it’s set well. So brewing my first version this way. Hint to the company how about making one that fits large pickle jars with a longer filter!
Absolutely Love this machine. It feels commercial grade and all of the Lavazza coffees are smooth and strong. Highly recommend.
Damn. I never knew cold brew coffee was so good (drinking my first cup atm). I really like the design of this brewer. Only thing to note is the rubber ring surrounding the button on mine arrived a little chewed up (see photo). Otherwise, very good quality
This is my second purchase. Although the price increased slightly over the year (I think I purchased my first one with a discount), this is the highest value for money product, I purchased the second one for my mom, she loved it so much so I decided to surprise her with it. This is not a fancy coffee maker - but this is what I like most about it. It’s very easy to use, it doesn’t shut down and always keeps your coffee hot not lukewarm. Top quality and no useless extra features.
