My wife uses this every day. We like it except, like many people, ours would stop brewing seconds after hitting the brew button. See attached image. There is a float that rides inside that channel. When you clean it with vinegar, it does not clean the coffee tar. If that float gets stuck on the bottom, the device thinks the reservoir is empty and stops brewing, like it should. You have to clean that area. The top plate unscrews and the float lifts out for easy access. Must be a magnetic switch that reacts with the float. I will be trying Urnex cleaning tablets. coffeemakers.us.com sells it. It claims to clean out coffee oil. We will see. 5/1/2021 The Urnex works well on the pot. 9/13. Change that to a fair job. The pot is very clean but the float got stuck a few weeks ago. I will try to clean it more often. 1/8/22. Float got stuck again. The pot is very clean. I have moved on to operation "SteamBlock". The steam passes from the brew chamber to the reservoir. It must be carrying the oil with it. I put in this wall to block it. It's not air tight. I'll see how it goes and put in some gasket or foam if needed. It does block most of the steam. If you use orange oil w/water and let it soak in the reservoir, it does a decent job of breaking down the tar. You still have to wipe it to clean it off. 10/13/2022 I think I'm done with this. Keeping the reservoir clean is too much trouble. Cuisinart can easily fix this by isolating the reservoir.
I bought this 5 years ago I don’t understand what is up with the other comments. This machine works insanely well and is a workhorse Yes, you need to clean reservoir (half vinegar/half water followed by fingernail of baking soda) but that is just as easy if not way easier than keurig nespreso etc I would buy if you are looking for best price to do both k cup and nespresso - A coffee lover
Coffee just like my Mom used to make. Forgot how good her coffee was, until my coffee maker died & I took the plunge. My Moms felt heavier somehow, not sure why. The great flavor I remembered was there....why didn’t I order this ages ago?
I love this. It's convenient amd durable.
It is hard to find good coffee on the road. This set makes it easy to get a cup of near perfect pour over coffee. The case is sturdy. It contains a glass, small plate, cloth filter and wooden top. It is easy to use and makes a good cup. However paper filters are easier than the cloth. It needs to be washed and dried. The case does a goid job of protecting the glass. The different components do not fit together as snugly as I anticipated. Nice.
Yes it’s a tiny bit more work than a cheap coffee maker but it’s so worth it. Making coffee feels like a ritual now and the results are delish.
I absolutely love my new espresso machine. We had bought a cheaper one (sowtech, for $60 ish) and it was horrible. Returned that one and decided to invest a little more..and voila! I get to make matcha 🍵 lattes and cappuccinos at home. Super easy to use and very fast too! Highly recommend.
The coffee maker comes in a nice green color. It’s about as tall as a portable speaker! Comes with charging cord and as well as a measuring cup for ground coffee. The machine was able to make a small cup of espresso, approx 1 oz shots. No burning taste, and was easy to drip with the coffee beans I’ve grounded myself. Operation was easy and washing doesn’t seem too bad. The cup itself can hold two shots worth (2 oz), however the machine only makes 1 oz at a time. Espresso maker is convenient for camping or when traveling and you don’t want to use the hotel’s coffee maker.
This is by far the BEST cold brew maker EVER! Super easy to use, and clean up is a breeze. I had purchased another one before the Asobu and I have now thrown that one away and purchased my second Asobu. You can’t go wrong with the Asobu.
This is the best coffee maker ever. Super user friendly and works as advertised. Out performs all brands we’ve used including Keurig. Highly recommend
so, i stupidly tried to dump the grounds out into the trashcan without holding onto the glass, and it slipped out of the plastic and broke. akso, the lid broke last week. where the spout is, the lift gate hatch spring thingy snapped off... bought in april. trash in july
Love our new keurig. This machine has K cup 5 puncture points making it much better for using insert and our own coffee without k cup. It heats up and makes coffee much faster than our previous keurig. Can also use for ice coffee or ice tea. Using and maintaining are super easy.
This was my first french press and I don't feel impressed. I do not like how it doesn't press down further and it slips out of the metal sleeve/handle if I don't hold the lid down as I pour.
Makes a great HOT cup of coffee! Looks nice on my countertop and doesn't take up a ton of room. I've used a Bunn machine at work but never owned one myself - I love it and could not be happier!
