  • So far I have 0 c complaints about this cold brew maker. This is much easier to use then a previous drip one I had. The glass is nice & thick. The top can be unscrewed (it arrives off) to make cleaning very easy. The bottom is made of rubber so it does not slide around. The center diffuser where you place your coffee grounds, tea or whatever you want to brew seems well made. The holes are very small to keep out all but the ground dust particles out of your water. Cold brew can taste milder then hot brewed coffee. In my case I will make a pot of cold brew over night or 24 hours (the longer the steep the deeper or stronger the brew). If I would rather hot coffee, I can just pour a cup & place in the microwave. This makes a nice smooth tasting cup of java.

I accidentally broke my old French press. It was glass as you could imagine. I don't often make French press coffee, but when I do one cup is enough. I found this one by Jewheg which is all stainless steel construction, and super shiny. It is solidly built, nothing was loose, or poorly fitted. It also has thick insulated walls so it can hold onto the temperature longer. My first pour went well. I'm going to enjoy this for a lifetime.

  • the machine is great but after 3 months the milk frother stopped working. The coffee part still works but the wand and buttons on the frother side don't turn on.

I purchased an open box & it came in perfect condition, it has a minor scratch but nothing that affects its function. It is extremely easy to use & I love that it comes with recipes. The lattes are delicious & the ice coffee is amazing!

This product is exactly what it says it is. It’s a compact coffee maker that holds up to 5 cups of water and one on/off button to help keep things simple. It brews fairly quick and you can load both the water and the coffee from the front which is very convenient if you live in a smaller space or would like to keep this coffee maker tucked under a cabinet or shelf. I think the front loading of the water is very cool. It also has the traditional water amount gauge on the side to let you know just how much you’ve put in. All in all this does exactly what it was designed to do and it does it very well. I would highly recommend this product for any office space or apartment and even a home office or man cave. Good work Hamilton Beach.

So I really like this espresso maker. I like that I can just buy the capsules and insert them. One real cool thing is after you use the expresso cups when you lift The top of the capsules automatically fall to the bottom you just pull out and dispose of them. One thing I don't like is that It does not have a milk frother on here and it does not have the option where I can Just add coffee myself without the capsules. I do think I've seen where you can buy the reusable nespresso cups which I believe would work on this so I will try that and hopes that that works just as well as the capsules.

  • The product is very good quality . The only complaint I have is that it did not come with instructions. I was able to watch a tutorial by “ Just A Dad “ on you tube and was able to learn proper way to brew and length of time needed to steep coffee . Aside from not having instructions .. I highly recommend this product

  • Really not much to complain about. You get what you pay for. Personally i think it does well. Probably not as consistent roast as it could be but again good for the money

Super simple setup, really fast brew time, carafe retains good heat for about an hour or two. We had the same problems as other reviewers ... spill over from the funnel, and constant leakage when the unit was not in use. We tried different coarseness settings, different quantities of coffee, even different filters, but had no luck getting a consistent pot of coffee without spill over. And the one good pot still had grounds piled up on the shower head when we went to clean the unit. When not in use, we stored the carafe and funnel on a drying rack, and had to constantly wipe up water spills from the unit. We have small children and did not feel safe with the unit randomly spilling an ounce or two of scalding hot water out of the shower head. The one time we were able to get it to brew a pot of coffee, the coffee was great, so it deserves two stars for making a good cup of coffee (really fast). We bought this brewer for its 10 cup capacity, its very quick brewing time, and the fact that it is a Bunn. We really wanted to love it. However, after a week of use and about 200 grams of wasted coffee grounds on our counter, we returned the unit.

  • Except for one problem described below, this machine delivers truly amazing results. Its best feature is the ability to store eight different customized settings. My spouse and I differ in the amount of milk and coffee we want in our optimal cup, but it's been no sweat to create a custom setting for each of us. It functions at optimal temperature and pressure. It's easy to use and clean. With the right brew timing, it tastes awesome. When I say easy to use, bear in mind that expresso machines always require more labor than traditional coffee makers. That extra effort does pay off -- in flavor. It's important to tamp the shot, use the right brew time for the volume of coffee, clean the milk dispenser, and wipe down the brew head after each session. Also, I find the milk temperature too cool, especially when removing stored milk from the fridge, so I heat the milk for a minute in the microwave before starting my coffee run. Its one flaw is an overly small gap between the portafilter and the brew head. A single shot of espresso should be 7-9 grams and a double shot 13-15 grams. You will even find this stated in the included product manual. However, when I use the single-shot filter, I can only fit 5 grams of coffee, and with the double-shot filter a maximum of 10.5 grams. Add more coffee and the portafilter flatly refuses to twist into the machine. As a result, the single-shot filter is effectively useless and I have to brew two cups to make my standard morning coffee loadout. I've uploaded pictures to illustrate. In one, you can see the single-shot container from this device (on the left) and my older single-shot filter from another machine on the right. Notice how far the MAX line differs between the two. The other shows the double-shot filter nearly full with 9.8 grams of coffee. For me, this is still a 5-star machine. It's not burdensome to reuse the filter a few times in the morning. While I don't like the machine's preset brew and milk times, it just takes a few button presses to reset them with my preferences. I suspect the reviewers complaining about the flavor didn't get past the presets to set appropriate custom brew timings. Nevertheless, I would expect a machine at this price point to be able to deliver a proper double shot.

Works perfectly and quickly. Has all the features I need and coffee taste good. When my coffee maker broke, it was one of the few times I truly needed next day coffeemakers.us.com delivery since I live in a small town. It really came through!

***Very Important Update for people who spend time reading reviews before bying**** Here is the update to the initial review in quotes below. I made coffee yesterday to put in my $12 MossyO*** travel mug from W.M. to go help a friend build a playground in temperatures that were below freezing for the first 3 hours of the build. Guess what? The coffee stayed hot! This had me really perplexed. This morning I made a coffee pot. I filled up my wife's mug for her to go to work, but waited on my coffee until I got home from dropping her and my daughter off at school. Less than 45 min later my coffee was on the cold side. I thought, I am going to call Cuisinart, surely they will stand behind a product that was almost $200. I got on the phone with the lady at customer support who informed me that they would replace the carafe but I would need to pay to have it shipped. I said I could mark the machine as defective and coffeemakers.us.com will take it back for free. She said that I would also have to put $10 In the box for return shipping. I said, I just spent hours/days researching and chose their product over the others. Now you are asking me to add $20 to the price because the product is defective? I asked to speak to a supervisor and her immediate response was, "I can but they are probably going to say the same thing." Really? Even if, who says that? After holding, she came back and asked if I had turned off the auto off function. I said, "Miss, this machine doesn't have an auto off function. As I told you, it has the stainless steel carafe." She then began to tell me about how the auto off function works. I then proceeded to educate her on her product and repeated my concern. After another hold, she came back and asked if the water I put into the machine was hot or cold. At this point I was floored! Once again I repeated to her the problem and informed her again that her company paid aot of money to confirm that their machine is certified to consistently make a hot cup off coffee. I repeated that the coffee stays hot when immediately poured into a travel mug so the temp of water going in is irrelevant. I asked again to talk to a supervisor. To save the details of repeating all the above. The supervisor said that the carafe is only designed to keep the coffee hot for 45min! Wow! I said, "I know you did not personally make this machine, but I am absolutely floored that this company would go through the trouble of making a name for themselves in the luxury coffee world and not make their stainless carafe hold heat like the average coffee mug. She also confirmed that I would need to pay shipping. I told her that she would get the product back, just through coffeemakers.us.com as they back their customers. I also told her that this machine would probably be the best on the market without this skimp on quality." She said the conversation was recorded and that she would pass it over to quality control. I said, "Please do." I hope you read this first if you plan on having your coffee stay hot in the pot, otherwise, simply get a single serve. If you drink it quick, it may work for you, BUT DON'T COUNT ON THIS COMPANY THROWING YOU A BONE AND BACKING THEIR PRODUCT IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG. Unless you Don't mind paying an even higher price. From three to 1 ONE STAR. I did not put one star at the top as many, like me, count many of those off and don't read them. My initial review below. "I did a LOT of research and landed on this BEAUTIFUL, CERTIFIED, WONDERFUL COFFEE making machine and then .... The only negative that I really saw, but did not give a second thought. THE CARAFE! Why go through the trouble of making such a beautiful machine, pay the fee and have It go through the rigorous testing for certification and then not isolate it to keep the coffee warm for an extended period of time? You even went through the appreciated trouble to put a flap in the lid to close when the carafe is not tilted, but skimped on isolating the stainless properly? We live in a day and age where 8 hour stainless mugs and thermoses are a plenty, yet I knew when the water first went in during the initial flush that the carafe was not insulated well because I could instantly feel the heat through the side. My average stainless thermal mug doesn't even do this. Why the three stars when most people, including myself, will drink their coffee in the first 30 minutes? Here we are January 3rd and the holiday guest have gone home. I was so proud to have such a machine so that everyone who came over could enjoy a great cup of coffee when they woke up, so I would wake up an hour early and put on a pot (I am fully aware that I could set the timer and it works great, but I prefer to not have the grounds sit over night) only to have the guest who woke up less than an hour later put their cup in the microwave. Well.... If the carafe were sealed like my inexpensive stainless travel mug, that would not have happened. Even as I wrote this review, the coffee was being made and by the time I finished, under an hour later, the coffee is NOT hot. Am I VERY pleased with everything else about this machine? You bet! And I hope to have it for years to come. I will just have to settle with the fact that from time-to-time my guest will have to zap fry their wonderf certified cup of coffee. Three stars just because I feel that this could have gone down in history as one of the greatest machines without the oversight or cutting corners on the carafe. I own an average department store travel mug that keeps my coffee hotter for several hours more than this carafe does for less than an hour."

  • When considering a coffee pot, the important features include: Taste, Design, The Ease to Clean, and The Ease to Use. This Coffee Pot gets 5 stars in all these categories. TASTE: Full Flavor Taste - The Ability to Control Bold Flavor with a Rich Brew button also. DESIGN: Looks like a quality coffee pot that fits in nicely with many style kitchens. The lighting on the buttons is crisp as well. The timer works well and the pot can be set to stay warm. There is also a setting for a small batch of up to just 4 cups. EASE TO CLEAN: The water tank is fully removable and seats well in the machine with one hand. This makes all the difference in keeping the water tank clean of mineral build up. - This option really sets this pot ahead of so many others. EASE TO USE: You can fill the water tank with it attached as the tank has a HUGE opening. The tank is set to the side so when putting in the grinds there is little risk of contaminating the water tank. However, because its removable, this would be no issue to get clean. I am a converted Ninja Fan! This will always be my go to pot! Kudos to the engineers involved in this design!

I was hesitant to buy one of these given the reviews, but I really liked the concept. The idea that this company figured out the exact temp and timing it takes to make a good cup of coffee sounded promising to an amateur like myself. Unfortunately choosing plastic as the container and clearly not enough packing material brings me to this review and the return of the product. To be fair, I never used it since it arrived broken, but I can tell you that this material is not ideal for brewing extremely hot liquids. A metal container is a much better option. I would go elsewhere for a nice cup of French Press Coffee.
