This is a good coffee maker at a reasonable price. Here are the PROS and CONS that I found. PROS: 1. Brews HOT coffee that tastes great. 2. Great price. 3. Small and compact. CONS: 1. No Auto Shut-Off. 'That's an important safety one.' You may forget to shut it off and it will burn the coffee and potently start a fire. You would think that would be a safety standard, especially in California. 2. No Grab-a-Cup Auto Pause Feature. Doesn't stop dripping coffee when you remove the carafe to pour a cup before it has finished. Coffee continues to drip until finished brewing. 3. No Removable Screen basket (permanent filter) Other than a couple CONS to watch out for, you have a reasonable priced 5-cup coffee maker that makes tasty and hot coffee.

I arrived in Saudi Arabia for 7 days, I found it wonderful and its size was convenient and easy to clean, I enjoyed the coffee more

  • I was using a different frother and with this I can save space.i just love it!! Makes my coffee perfect and I can have strong coffee if I like!!

  • The straw came completely shattered inside of the box. Seems to be an occurring issue.

  • I love making my own cold brew now! The glass is thin so be careful, my husband broke one washing it. Luckily I can survive with one. Comes with clear directions on how to make cold brew. Make sure not to shake it after making it with the grounds in the container. I made that mistake once and the grounds were all in my coffee. That was user error tho as it does tell you not to shake it. I make cold brew all the time now.

I recommend it to everyone who travels a lot, its very easy to use. I returned the item since am not travelling that much.

  • I splurged and finally got the Kuerig that I wanted. Very happy with the machine and the way it functions. Very disappointed with the carafe. The way it is made allows for coffee to seep under the rim and drip as you are pouring your coffee. Which is very annoying and frustrating for the money we spent. Thank heavens I did not throw out my Mr Coffee as I have to use that carafe in order not to spill every time we use it. It is unfortunate that when people visit and see the Mr Coffee carafe, it does not look very good on the Keurig name. It would be nice to have a non-dripping Kerrigan carafe to go with my machine.

  • Unfortunately the plastic used for this item is very brittle. After a few months of use it became increasingly hard to pump the espresso and then the casing cracked through causing an issue with pressure in the machine. Now, due to the crack and pressure issue espresso back flushes into the water tank while trying to use the item.

  • These are my initial impressions after only 2-days of use. Will update if things go south. This is replacing a four year old Keurig K155 commercial direct plumbed machine that cost several hundred dollars. The Keurig has had a pump go out and now two capacitors. It was too expensive to be this unreliable. I was lucky to come across this JAVAPod when looking for direct plumbed coffee makers as it originally did not come up in coffeemakers.us.coms search results. For some reason direct pluming is not a feature many people are interested in. All of the other direct plumb coffee makers were very expensive commercial models. This JAVAPod appears to be the exact same machine as the Mixpresso and Mueller Austria coffee machine except with the direct plumbing option. The included direct plumb kit is very complete with everything most people would want or need to connect to existing line. It doesn't include a filter though, but I'm connecting to a RO system so I don't need one. It looks nice (I ordered the black/white) and it has a small footprint so it doesn't take up much counter space. When first turned on it takes about 30 second to heat up the water, then it's ready to go. It has an auto-off timer that can be set for 15min, 1hr, or 2hr. It doesn't work with a smart outlet as you have to press the power button. The three cup sizes are (according to the manual) 6oz, 8oz, and 10oz. The 10oz fills up my mug more than the 10oz on my Keurig does. I'll actually use the 8oz more frequently (UPDATE: the actual cup sizes are 8, 10, and 12 oz.) . While brewing the pump causes one of the side panels to vibrate and doesn't sound great. I'll try to fix that. Once the pump turns off, it is not yet done; you need to wait for the beep or you'll waste some coffee in the catcher. The brew is piping hot, which it not always the case in these K-cup machines. One big plus is that reusable K-cups work perfectly in this machine, not always the case with my Keurig. As it stands right now, this is a great little coffee machine, and with the direct plumb kit there is nothing else that comes close at this price point. And even if it only last as long as the Keurig, at this price it won't hurt to get another one.

Yeaaa. I really liked this but after maybe 2 weeks the glass broke. Took it out of the fridge, LIGHTLY tapped the counter and the bottom started to leak. I sat the pitcher down in the sink and when I picked it back up the entire bottom just came off. I need a new pitcher but now I’m certain I need one with thicker glass. This is just too fragile for daily use. Extra thick lab tested glass MY ASS Buy this one instead: Sealing Cold Brew Coffee Maker - 1.5 Quarts Airtight Brewed Iced Coffee Maker - Glass Pitcher Cold Brewer System with Removable Filter https://www.coffeemakers.us.com.com/dp/B01LZRHUPY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_HowbCbDYP2NQR I’ve had it a few months and it’s held up through consistent use without any issues!

This setup produces some of the best, most flavorful cold brew coffee I've ever tasted. It will bring out bright, complex flavors you never knew your beans contained. If you love high quality coffee, step up to Yama Glass. My wife and I like to drink a lot of iced coffee in the summer, and this setup lets us brew once every 1-2 weeks and keep it cold in the refrigerator. If you drink less coffee and/or don't mind brewing more frequently, there is a 6-8 cup setup which with proper ratios should make coffee just as good. (Full disclosure: I have not tried the 6-8 cup Yama Glass setup; please research that setup for yourself before purchasing.) What does it do? How is it different from other cold brew methods? 1. It makes coffee concentrate, not coffee, requiring dilution. 2. Slow drip cold brewing produces very different, wonderful, complex flavors than any other brew method you've tasted. 3. Similar slow drip setups may produce similar flavors, but setups like the Toddy or similar with long steep times will taste TOTALLY different: chocolaty, zero acidity, very pleasant... but most beans result in the same tasting coffee, so don't waste expensive beans on the Toddy method. 4. Espresso (hot pressure brew) has a wonderful flavor profile but also very different from slow drip cold brew. Espresso is also sensitive to the quality of beans/roast, so you should splurge on quality beans. I actually enjoy all 3 above mentioned methods and drink all 3 types as the mood strikes me. The Toddy is a great way to get really great tasting coffee from budget beans; as long as they're not terrible, the Toddy will give you delicious coffee. I'm not as big a fan of pourovers, even though you can get great results with quality beans and attention to detail... I'm just lazy about manually brewing a cup at a time (hence my 25 cup setup for batch processing). Quality super automatic espresso machines can do cup at a time with NO fussing and minimal work. :) While I believe you can get the same great flavor as Yama Glass from other slow drip equipment, I believe NOTHING ELSE looks and feels this high quality. The Yama Glass is both a piece of art and a conversation piece in the kitchen. If all you care about is a great cup of coffee and you could care less about how your equipment looks, there are way cheaper ways to achieve very similar results, assuming you can control the slow drip portion. But if quality and esthetics matter to you, this is totally worth the investment. Tip: after brewing, dilute with 1-2 parts ice, water or milk to taste. If you add ice only, it will be very strong until the ice melts. I dilute with Barista blend soy beverage AND add ice and put it in a Yeti tumbler to keep cold for 18-24 hours. I wanted to mention I received great after-sales support from Espresso Parts. There was some cosmetic blemishing in the lettering on the bottom beaker, and they shipped me a replacement right away. This makes me even more certain I made the right call on purchasing the Yama Glass setup! I may post an update later on tips for avoiding snags in the brewing process after further experimentation.

I never thought I'd be writing a review for a French press. I hate coffee- the smell, taste, everything. Blah. But I recently discovered ground cacao (ground 100% dark chocolate). After researching the best and quickest way to brew it, I found the press method would be easiest for me. I needed a press that was small and easy to use, due to my limited dexterity. This little one is perfect. Lightweight, easy to operate, and so easy to clean! I've been using it daily for a month and it still looks brand new. It can be used for tea as well. Highly recommended

  • Lasted for about 19 months then the automatic mechanism jammed up and won’t complete the cycle. Cleaned it every way possible but the electronics just sign off when I try to cycle it. Worked great till it failed. Didn’t use it but a few times a month when I wanted Americano or expresso instead of regular coffee. Should have been a more robust design for the price. It was a 10 till it broke, now it’s a boat anchor. Buy at your own risk.
