This is my 2nd magnet stirring coffee mug, and I do really like the concept. The material / information provided for this 23$ cup is a far cry from helpful. I found it unclear and confusing and I knew what I was looking for as I was looking for a 2nd magnetic stirring mug, and I could barely confirm that the stirring concept was from a magnet - comical. I still can't even begin to imagine or figure out how it would heat up water or brew coffee. it claims you don't need to pour hot water over the grinds ok but then won't explain how it's supposed to do it. Only way I could figure was to pour hot water over the grinds... but it claims that it would brew it? it says.. "Protein to meal replacement, effortlessly", lol which means if you add a couple of scoops of protein powder to water in the cup it will mix it if you put your warm finger over that lower button with the Chinese writing. Which is also odd as it is very easily touched and turns on randomly but when you want to turn the spinning on - seems more challenging - figures. I will say that the cup and lid has a nice screw on design to prevent spills and a very comfortable lip to sip from so well done on the lid design. Ironically my nose hits it every time I take a sip so I get to see what the temperature is in Celsius.... 46 supposedly but how can it even know - I'm assuming the sensor for temp is that little metal nub at the very top well you really can't fill it that high so it can only gauge the temperature of the room inside the mug not the actual liquid, I also like the crimson and cream color scheme. The charging port is very unique, magnetic little nub that connects to the bottom of the mug. Not the best location, but one potentially good thing is that it claims it can also be charged by any other smart watch charging cable which I have a few so that's a neat concept. overall: I like the magnet stirring mug size and lid design even the handle strap. BIG negative points for the misleading advertisement and lack of instructions.. They could fix that easily enough. And I'd be curious how they can back up any claim that this mug would brew a cup of coffee other than just by either pour over hot water or submerging into hot water. DID NOT heat anything up in my tests. ps temp at 41 now so not even really maintaining my instant hot water.
I’m an OTR truck driver that uses this daily. I’ve tried numerous things including the expensive Kcup machines in my truck. This is the easiest to maintain. Easiest to clean on the go. And lastly for a coffee connoisseur just look at the froth on top of that cup ohhh he’s it makes the best coffee it’s so good when I’m home it comes home with me! Definitely recommend to all my buddies and anyone wanting quality coffee in any location.
I like the ability to pour a cup while it’s still brewing and the ability to grind beans or use pre ground coffee. The timer capability is nice to, you can set it to brew a pot in then morning before you wake up. And getting out of bed to the smell of fresh coffee helps me wake up in the morning. It’s extremely easy to use, after about 10-15 min I was able to set everything up to how I like It. And the price is the bet part. A coffee maker with all of these features would cost $100-$200 at a box store. Would highly recommended. Easy to clean as well, the grinder and inside parts can all be taken out and washed or put in dishwasher.
My wife and I were looking for something that took up less space on our counter while we were living in an apartment waiting for our house to be built... the Keurig K15. It's compact and doesn't take up nearly as much space as my K55. There are three minor setbacks that you should be aware of. 1) There is no reservoir.. Water must be added every time you wish to brew a cup. We thought it'd be smart for us to just keep one cup of water always "loaded' in the heating tank and another cup in the measuring reservoir... that was a mistake. We quickly found out that once you open to put a k-cup in, it dumps the water from the measuring reservoir into the heating tank. The heating tank was already full and water went all over the counter. 2) Because there is no tank, the machine heats the water on demand. This takes additional 2-3 mins to brew. 3) It's definitely shorter than I expected. It's actually too short to fit any of our regular 10 oz mugs without removing the drip tray. Kind of a bummer because it's definitely not tall enough, even with the drip tray removed, to fit any of our travel mugs. This isn't to say that your regular/travel mugs won't work, but ours didn't. We just leave the drip tray removed all the time. When we want to use our travel mugs, we have to use two cups to get the job done. I've included some photos so you can see what I'm referring to. I have to take a 1 star away for the fact that, without removing the drip tray, it doesn't really fit anything other than standard 6-8 oz cups (like you might find a Denny's or IHOP). I would take a 2nd star away because, although it can brew a 10 oz cup, it doesn't fit ANY of our insulated travel mugs. Obviously that's not Keurig's fault but it still annoys me that I have to brew into one cup and pour it into my travel mug..
I really like the size, and the glass feels solid, but the whole top/handle portion just feels cheap. I like to (gently) swirl the tea around a little before I take the infuser out, and I can feel the handle flexing/bending slightly in my hand. After just a couple weeks, and I only make cold brew twice a week, the handle has completely popped off. I was able to superglue it back on, but ultimately, I feel like the plastic pieces should be better quality for the price. I would gladly pay more for a more solid product. Making the top portion out of aluminum would be awesome.
Hesitant to purchase based on some of these reviews but so far so good! Been in use daily, working great and brews a wonderful cup of coffee and hot chocolate. Very easy to set up and use. I bought a drawer stand for my K-cups and even on the stand it fits well under the counter. See photos. It's out a few inches from the back and I can fully open the top. When inserting the K-cup make sure to push down until you hear/feel the pop, I also press down on the top to get rid of extra air before brewing (see photo), this helps ensure the pods do not break open. Also attached some pics with my old Mr Coffee for a size comparison, I always had to pull the Mr Coffee out to full open the top. Really happy with the Keurig and feel it was a good buy!
I purchased this in September. The enamel is peeling around the rim. I contacted Frieling directly since I can't return the item through coffeemakers.us.com. No response. I contacted them again and will update my review if they respond and swap it out for me. Other than the enamel issue, I like the coffee maker. Hopefully they will take care of me. UPDATE - Thanks to Debi and Konji! I now have a new coffee maker. I went without the enamel finish. I'm a happy customer.
This product is cheap thin glass. Made my cold brew and when I removing the grinds I noticed what looked like a manufacturer defect, it was a chunk of glass missing but the surface of it was pretty smooth. Went to return and they want the product back, well I want my already made cold brew lol so I guess I am eating the 20 bucks.
So at first I thought this was going to be a returned item when I saw how much little coffee dust was floating around but after I took it out of the fridge (12+ hours later) all the particles were settled to the bottom. Normal for a filter like this I'd say. I think I was expecting a professional Starbucks iced coffee. Not realistic. Just to clarify, even when I used a French press, I would get these tiny tiny little coffee particles. It's not the full on grinds it's more of a dust. This is my first time using a cold brew to make iced coffee. I would always used the French press, let it cool then make an iced coffee. That has STRONG flavor. But this way of doing it doesn't give you quite as strong of a kick. Could just be the type of coffee I am using though. The sleek design fits in my refrigerator nicely. Each batch has made 4- 20oz cups of ice coffee. 👍
We have a small nespresso machine that we take on trips. But this is our new travel buddy now! Small, light and easy to use. Makes a delish espresso! Highly recommend!
I love this little coffee percolater. It is so quiet, easy to clean and makes a really good cup of coffee.
I gave this coffee maker a 4.5 rating. I took the coffee maker truck camping and was able to quickly make a cup of coffee or tea. I plan to use this for quickly heading water on snowboarding trips. The boiler gets hot super fast. It's really easy to use. The only downside is that the Starbucks K-kups are too tall and get squashed, but they still work.
So this is easy to use, easy to clean, it looks gorgeous, and the coffee tastes AMAZING! Mine has a brushed copper finish and silver lid. the know on top it glass and all inards are metal. I don't use coffee filters because the basket inside filters enough for me. Are there a small amount of grounds in the last cup? Yes. Is it a big deal? No. If it's an ussue for you, make a little extra so you aren't stuck with the absolute last coffee in there. Also, it lights up when done! LOVE ❤ P.S. it does get hot so keep out of reach of small children.
Good capacity and really liked that all components in contact with water were stainless and not plastic. BUT after only one year of use, the finish on the handle is flaking off. Have only handwashed with soft cloth according to instructions, but the paint on the item appears not to be sealed and only one coat so of course a high tough area needs more than that. I bought the all black so flaking to the steel underneath is very disappointing. Not worth the money if needs to be replaced once a year!
I can see this being great for camping because it's lightweight, will be easy to clean, pops up and folds back easily, and has volume markings on the inside of the cup. The mesh at the bottom is a fine layer atop a metal screen, so at first it looks like it won't be fine enough to catch all your grounds but if you look closely you can see the mesh that does the actual screening. It also has a strap so you can hang it to dry after use. The only negatives are the weird hippie colors. There's nothing wrong with the colors but idk, it's not a feature that interests me whatsoever. It also doesn't have any kind of case with it so if you're going to be packing it in your kit or back pack you'll want at a minimum to keep the plastic covering it comes with or to find some sort of baggie to secure it in. For now, I'm leaving it in the bag/box it came in, I'll likely upgrade to a ziplock baggie of some sort eventually though. I can't say how durable it is though. I'll have to use it a while to determine if this has any longevity to it. I'll update my review if there's anything that makes me think this will wear out/tear too easily to recommend for a true camping trip.
