I like the speed of heating water
We purchased this for Christmas- so 5 months ago. The first 2 months were good. Then the frother started messing up. I messaged the seller and they couldn’t help. So i bought a whole new frother cup & a bunch of the magnetic rings for inside of the frother. It still is messing up. So it’s not the cup. It’s the machine itself. The past week I’ve been having coffee grounds in my coffee and the past couple of days the temperature of the coffee has been scourging hot to were it burnt my tongue which the coffee has never been THAT hot before. So the whole machine seems to be malfunctioning. We will either be throwing away the machine or returning it and getting a completely different type of coffee machine.
It comes with a refillable k cup so you can use any coffee. It's not that difficult to use and it doesn't take very long till it's delicious. The first time I used it ,wasn't a successful try. It explosively came to a boil and leaked everywhere. I had it tight but I think it developed a little too much pressure. The second time it leaked on one side ,just as the coffee boils. Third time is the charm! I may need a thicker bowl gasket. I love coffee so I'm going to figure this out because this is an awesome coffee maker! It's also very affordable . I refuse to get rid oof this. I will make it function.
We have been using a previous version (model STX) of this Bunn coffee maker for over 10 years and it was well built and has been amazing. It finally broke and we purchased this to replace it. This new coffee maker is made from cheap plastic and our previous was all metal. The disappointment set in as soon as we took it out of the box. Plus the plastic was so thin on the base that I can squeeze it with my hands. The basket was also made of the same thin shiny cheap plastic. So disappointed. We immediately put it back in the box and returned it. We loved our Bunn and always bragged how fast our coffee would be ready when company came over. We are switching brands to a manufacturer that uses safe and long lasting materials. Bring back the good materials and we will pay more for it.
WHY TO BUY THIS: 1. Programming features help if you have trouble managing your time in the mornings. BUT you should read the instruction manual to learn how it works. I did this and it works perfectly. Some people are very handy and smart and don't think instruction manuals or demos are worth their time. Things that can't figured out by instinct simply "don't work." I get that. Just know what type of person you are before buying. 2. Coffee stays hot. Most coffee-snob approved devices do not include an approach to keep your coffee hot, unfortunately. BUT once you have a machineful of hot coffee, do not touch any buttons after that, or it thinks you're doing something new and shuts off the heating element. 3. Very easy cleaning. This = freedom from digging grounds out of a french press and banging the expresso puck into the trash. Priceless. 4. No regular coffee machine issues! No spilly carafes, No drips of burned coffee on the element, No grounds in the device (it's nicely designed to help with that, No worrying about whether it's turned off after you leave the house. NOTES: 1. It does fit under a cabinet, but you have to move it forward (i.e., out from under a cabinet) to open the lid to add water and coffee. Not sure that's clear in other reviews. I attached a picture of my low hanging cabinets from the 80s - they are a worst case scenario compared to most kitchens. 2. My E-F valve does work, in an antique kitchen scale kind of way. It is "full" relative to the amount of water you've put in. If you add enough water to only make 3 cups of coffee, it's going to say that it's F when there's 3 cups made. 3. It's made of plastic inside. Probably not ideal for people who have issues with that. 4. Only pour in in the exact amount of water you need to make that batch of coffee. 5. If you get the refurbished one like me, buying an extra gold filter is unnecessary. I did this, but notice it's a lot faster and easier just to use paper filters.
I have had this coffee maker for over a year now. I like it so much i bought one for my son and his wife as a house warming gift. It is easy to set up, super easy to maintain and makes a fabulous cup of coffee. The size is perfect for the counter - not too big and its a pretty machine. I descale it monthly - but it tells you when to do it - so easy. i like the single serve - i don't waste a pot of coffee when i just want one cup AND I can use my own beans! No plastic pods in the garbage! Highly recommend!
I absolutely love this machine! It's totally NOT a Keurig for espresso. The machine is slick, modernly beautiful, with a feel of twice it's price. It works perfectly and easily produces perfect cups of espresso and milk based espresso drinks. Definitely get this version with the sample coffees and the extra milk frother vessel! Speaking of which, that thing is magic! I absolutely love it. I bought this machine because it makes one of the highest rated espresso shots which is all I really cared about. But then I tried the frother vessel. . . Wow. Easily one of the coolest things in my kitchen. It makes a perfect cup of macchiato, cappuccino, or a latte. If you're worried about it coming from a different seller, don't. I had the opportunity to contact them because UPS mixed my tracking numbers and the responded immediately, friendly and accurately. They gave me the information I needed and answered any questions. Excellent customer service. I don't like writing too much. I could go on and on, but just know that I'm just thrilled with this beautiful machine. After months of research and tough decisions I'm so glad I went with Lavazza!
When considering a coffee pot, the important features include: Taste, Design, The Ease to Clean, and The Ease to Use. This Coffee Pot gets 5 stars in all these categories. TASTE: Full Flavor Taste - The Ability to Control Bold Flavor with a Rich Brew button also. DESIGN: Looks like a quality coffee pot that fits in nicely with many style kitchens. The lighting on the buttons is crisp as well. The timer works well and the pot can be set to stay warm. There is also a setting for a small batch of up to just 4 cups. EASE TO CLEAN: The water tank is fully removable and seats well in the machine with one hand. This makes all the difference in keeping the water tank clean of mineral build up. - This option really sets this pot ahead of so many others. EASE TO USE: You can fill the water tank with it attached as the tank has a HUGE opening. The tank is set to the side so when putting in the grinds there is little risk of contaminating the water tank. However, because its removable, this would be no issue to get clean. I am a converted Ninja Fan! This will always be my go to pot! Kudos to the engineers involved in this design!
Fuel your productive and positive day with Nespresso: Elevate your mornings with high-quality coffee! I’ve owned five Nespresso Coffee Machines, and this one truly stands out! It meets all my needs with its beautiful design, compact size, high-quality coffee, nearly perfect milk froth, easy recipe preparation, and, importantly, easy cleaning. Big shoutout to the fantastic seller for unbeatable pricing, professional packaging, swift shipping, and delivery. I absolutely love it!
Coffee makers are not new technology, and but it is still possible to have a design that just doesn't meet expectations. This GE coffee maker has 3 problems. 1) The design of the thermal carafe is such that there is an inner lip of about 1" that prevents all the liquid from being poured. The lip is to support the removable cap, and would have been fine is it tapered to direct the flow into the spout area, but instead it acts a a dam that will prevent you from pouring the last 1/2 cup of coffee out. In fact, the only way to get most of that liquid out is to remove the cap, and hold it upside down. Even then, there will still be about 1/8th of a cup that will not empty. 2) The cap itself is an example of overthinking. You place the cap on, then slightly rotate it to lock into place. The cap facilitates the pouring spout. Why? The carafe should be shaped with a spout, and the cap should rotate to open or close the spout. Instead, there is an inner flat opening where the fluid moves through the cap, which is... about 1" from the side of the carafe. Basically, the spout is inside the cap. 3) Finally, my issue with this coffee maker is that it is too tall. I have a rolling board that my under cabinet kitchen appliances use. These things are made with coffee makers in mind, as you usually want them back against the kitchen wall, but need to pull them forward to fill them with water. This is the first coffee maker I have ever tried that has so little clearance from the counter to my cabinets. I cannot use the rolling board. Why? What marvel of technology is in this GE unit that necessitated this height? Aside from having a poorly designed thermal carafe, this is just a standard coffee maker. Yes, it makes a normal cup of coffee, but making the coffee is a bare minimum requirement to have the name "Coffee Maker". The design of the coffee delivery system is terrible and it is rapped and an unjustifiably large package. I cannot recommend this product.
I bought a second of these to use at my boyfriends. They changed the refillable pod. Now it is like no other system. It replaces the podcast holder, note the little handle. It has a fill line WAY below the top. The water flow forces the coffee grounds to the sides of the container and the water then goes straight to the bottom of the container not through the coffee. If you only use pods you might be ok (Does not get as hot as my other maker does).
I use it to hold coffee for my family, and my mornings just wouldn't be the same without it. Its durable glass construction ensures that every pour is smooth and drip-free, while the large capacity means there's always enough coffee to go around, whether it's a lazy Sunday brunch or a busy weekday morning. It's become an essential part of my daily routine, making sure I start each day on the right foot with a perfect cup of coffee.
This is my first ever coffee maker, and we love it. It has a reusable, washable filter that makes it very economical. You can program it for different strengths of coffee and overnight to have coffee hit and ready in the morning. The only tweaks are that it cat be unplugged daily like they recommend or you must reset the clock and programming. Also you need to add a cup extra water than you intend due to evaporation. Overall, it’s a great little coffee maker for 2-4 people.
My old coffee pot died, and it was so nice to get this new one. The delivery was quick. I prefix my coffee pot at night and in the morning I just push the on button and get my coffee. Tastes great, just like i like it. Love it.
I picked this up since I have always had an interest in espresso and lattes, but never wanted to fully commit to it. This thing is an absolute game changer, I never knew coffee could taste so good! I have been using ILLY beans and blending them in the top, its super easy to fill up and blends the perfect amount every time! You can also adjust how much comes out and how course or fine it is too! Everything is pretty much fully adjustable, and easy to do so as well. The milk steamer is also exceptional, I use it just about every time now and I can never go back. This all in one espresso machine really does the job and does it very very well. It is also pretty easy to clean since the basin at the bottom pulls out. Overall, I don't think I could ever look at a regular cup of coffee again after getting one of these, absolutely amazing product!!
