  • I wanted to love this little machine, because it is so nice looking and modern and sleek; however, using the hinged pod for a 12 or 14 ounce cup, is a lot of ground cleaning. Another detriment is the splashing from your cup gets all over the machine, your cup, and the counter. I think I’m going to give it to someone else.

After I broke the second carafe on our Cuisinart coffee maker, I thought it was time to shop around for something more durable. This one is well made, well engineered and has an excellent stainless steel insulated carafe. Bought this on recommendation of older brother who has 5 cup version. It is also easy to clean and set up. Has a built-in timer, so coffee's ready when you get up. You will not be disappointed!

My wife unpacked Christmas and followed directions only to have coffee everywhere except the pot. We are still using old pot and to busy to deal with till after our vacation. A note was in box not to return however it’s definitely definitely not working. I watched YouTube and it happened to me also. First Bunn she was so happy then turned my gift into a flop. I will post update in the new year. This is picture of the second time we tried it and the seller explained it required another head !!!! Why sell it with such a defect????? CRAZY

  • I was a bit concerned when reading some reviews for this product, but finally went for it, and I am very glad I did, hopefully this review helps others like me: POURING: I could not find any spilling problems, coffee pours just fine and without steam burns, not sure how anyone could have a problem here, I’m attaching a video so you are at ease. BREW: brews just as fast as my old one, and at the right water temperature ~190F see picture, and coffee came out just right without any weird smell or flavors. PAUSE&SERVE: actually better than my last one, if done carefully most of the time I’m able to remove the pot while brewing without a drop, at most you will get one drop into the hot plate. QUALITY: Yes, it is cheap but it does not feel of bad quality, it feels like a SIMPLE design, with not much that can break, which is what I was looking for, no electronics that can go bad. Of course, only time will tell, but I will be back to update if this doesn’t last as long as expected.

  • We had this item for about 6 weeks but use it about less than 30 days but 3 days ago it started not brewing, light power is not turning on and not making coffee. We’re disappointed that the product looks great but the lifetime of use is very very short. We’re waiting from manufacturer to send us new one and hoping to get a replacement because according to coffeemakers.us.com customer service it’s passed 30 days of return. We’re frustrated about this item. Still waiting from the company and I already sent the info and video showing it was not working which took 2 days to figure out to send by using cloud or Dropbox.

No fancy packaging just a beautiful solid and sturdy 18/10 stainless steel French Press! The navy color is striking and looks beautiful enough to leave out on the coffee bar! I can see many years of great coffee in our future!

Product box arrived with a big hole. I inspected the contents and it looked as though nothing was broken but I didn't test it out. I am shipping this to my deployed husband for his unit. They won't care about the box so long as the product works but it doesn't look good when it's delivered with a big hole. Otherwise, we have a Mr. Coffee at home and enjoy it very much. That's why it was given 4 stars. We were impressed with the Mr. Coffee in a Hawaii hotel room and got one for ourselves.

I'm so glad this coffee maker showed up when it did. I was using a Keurig for the past 10 years. It finally went kaput. We bought a newer model. It works fine but the pods have as least doubled in price since I started. I said it's time to go back to basics! This coffee maker from Ihomekee fits the bill. It's footprint is nearly the same as an old Keurig but obviously it can make up to 12 cups of coffee at once. Now a cup of joe is a few cents instead of up to $1 per pod. My favorite feature is 'sneak-a-cup'. It's a spring-loaded piece that stops liquid from flowing. Simply remove the pot and the valve gets closed. I forgot coffee makers had this feature. Very nice! This one also has a 2 hour countdown that lets you know that your pot of coffee is still fresh. It will power off after sitting for 120 minutes. I have not used the iced coffee feature or the timer function. I just click on 'brew now' and go. Another nice feature is the 'clean' function. I did that before brewing any coffee by mistake. It's designed to remove scale and build-up. This comes with a 12 cup carafe. It also has a clear indicator that shows how much water is in the tank. The hot plate keeps the coffee at just the right temperature. It doesn't scald the coffee like the old makers did. Definitely recommend!

I’ve only used it once but I am very happy with it. The filter is great. I love cold brew so this is going to save me a lot of money.

  • I'm guilty of an early review. Only had it for use this week but I have some comments. I thought it was a near duplicate of the Cuisinart and I believe I'm right. Most likely made by the same folks. But there are differences. I have a couple gripes. Number one, the coffee pot does not want to seat properly. You have to jiggle it around until it finally plops into position. This could lead to trouble down the road if you think you have seated it when you have not. And as others have said, it wiggles on its four feet. Absolutely no reason they could not put a taller foot on the wiggly side. Just careless QC. See many complaints about the loud tone when it is done is one of the reasons I purchased it. It's just loud enough. If you are awakened by it, you need a bigger house. Finally, I choose to use both the permanent or reusable gold filter and a paper filter. I'm afraid this unit for some reason doesn't like that arrangement. After it is done if you lift the lid you will find water still pouring through the grains so you need to wait a few minutes before pouring. Not a big deal. And I would prefer that the top came off of the pot. All in all I think it's a reasonable way to save several dollars over the Cuisinart. But I must say, the primary reason I did not buy my third Cuisinart was too many complaints about leakage. I did not see that complaint for this Kenmore product. If it lasts 3 or 4 years I will be more than happy.

This coffee maker is a revelation in flavor and quality. I needed to replace an old Bonavita I was never happy with. The Bonavita never kept things hot, had no timer, the filter could only be used with the top off leading to more heat and freshness loss, and with the Breville I realize the Bonavita was also ruining my coffee. I liked the features of the Breville Precision but the price was ridiculous, as much as the Technovirm, but... it had a timer, met the SCA standards and had some capacity to play with and personalize if I wanted to experiment. Prime Day dropped the price $100 dollars so I went for it. I drink a lot of coffee and work at home so seemed like the right time to step up my game! First morning brew I discovered what I had been missing! The old Bonavita had been over extracting, leaving the taste so strong and bitter. The Breville cup was smooth and well rounded with none of the bitterness or sourness, and I could taste floral notes in the cup, especially with medium roasts such as an Ethiopian Peabody we have. And the carafe kept it hot through my morning wake up! My wife and I have been so happy with the brewer that we’ve had no need to experiment yet with other features. Unpacking the machine it is clear that it’s made of high quality, heavy parts. The base appears to be metallic and gives heft and stability. The plastics appear of high quality and everything fits together precisely. It came with an insert for cone filters up to 8 cups use and a flat brew basket for larger 8-12 cups of brewing. I have only used the cone with #4 filters so far. Plug in and it leads you through a clean out cycle. One initial Con- There was a distinct plastic smell that remained despite first washing out the removable parts as instructed by the manual and the first pot I brewed was ruined by this. It took me washing out all the parts twice, including using baking soda to scrub the clear non-removable water tank and all the other parts, running 2 brew cycles with fresh water each time, but the plastic smell was finally gone by doing this. I have only used the Gold (SCA) selection so far. The system seems to self adjust for different amounts of water used and produce consistent flavor. I love that it blooms the grounds and pauses before completing the rest of the cycle. It is a couple minutes slower than the old Bonavita but that speed was no advantage to flavor as I’ve now learned. There is a Fast setting as well as a Strong one but I’ve not needed them yet. I have added about one scoop more than the manual requires to get the flavor I like. I have use the timer to set up my morning brew and it works flawlessly. The controls are easy to use and seem intelligently set up. You can make it complicated if you want to dig in but normal use requires nothing but selecting the brew type and pushing the on button until it glows red. The panel tells you what stage it is at in the brewing program. It’s of note to me that the kitchen is only lightly scented with coffee smell WHICH IS A GOOD THING! It indicates that the seal between the basket and the pot is keeping all those lovely volatiles in your coffee rather than out into the air, also why it preserves initial heat better. Preheating the carafe helps heat preservation even more if you are not using the timer. I’ll update when I get to use the other features but I’m very happy with this coffee maker, especially at the Prime Day price! At this writing I’ve had it about a week and all is good.

Let me start off by saying that I LOVE my Coffee and my trusty Hamilton Beach coffee maker finally kicked the bucket one day so naturally I went ahead and got another Hamilton Beach (The Scoop) because I wanted single-serve functionality. To say I was DISAPPOINTED is understatement. That Coffee Maker made a MESS and splattered coffee everywhere, made VERY WEAK watery coffee, and couldn't even fit my favorite 'MAN-Sized' Cup. Needless to say I returned it and looked at alternative brands... ENTER THE NINJA! I was a bit skeptical at first, the price is on the premium side but at the same time looks like a MUCH more expensive machine... and the real question was, is it actually any good? or too good to be true? The Ninja addressed EVERY issue I had with the Hamilton Beach. Look at the pictures! I had the biggest grin on my face when I saw that it fit my MAN-Sized Cup PERFECTLY! ZERO splatter when making a cup of coffee and the cherry on top it has a 'drip-stop' lever to stop any drips after you remove the cup *chefs kiss* I LOVE the way the brew basket slides outwards to easily add your coffee, and the removable water reservoir so you can make yourself a cup without having to add water every time *chefs kiss* But the real question and main job of every Coffee Maker... does it make good coffee?? YES it does. DELICIOUS Smooth Coffee (with paper filters). *chefs kiss* Cone Filters # 4 by the way The Ninja has spoiled me with the Coffee Size selection now. If I'm in the mood for a BIG cup or a small cup I can precisely select how much I want. I've also tried out the 'Over Ice' and 'Cold Brew' selections and they work GREAT! Basically just fill your cup with ice and it will do the rest, and don't worry it will not overflow or anything. Both options are basically Iced Coffee but 'Cold Brew' takes a lot longer but promises a smoother coffee and brews it a lot slower, and WOW it's Amazing! *chefs kiss* I absolutely love everything about this Ninja coffee maker. The people who made these clearly love their coffee too and speak my language. I'm sold on Ninja for life! Get one and you won't regret it... Don't think twice I promise it'll be *chefs kiss*

Excellent pour over, glass is made of great quality and i base this on the fact ive wacked it a few times agiasnt some pretty hard things accidentally and no damage occured now i cant speak for dropping it. The most ive made in it was 18 oz of coffee and it was fulled to the 3 cup line marked on the glass, you could make slighty more if needed maby 20-25oz not sure an exact amount. The mesh screen has worked an held up excellent and it also very easy to clean i just dump the ground coffee into the trash by banging it up agaisnt the side of my trash can which gets most of it to fall out then i rinse the remainder in the sink for about 10 sec no sponge just with high pressure water an swiping my finger along the sides then hanging it on my rack to dry. The glass jar is also cleaned easily to i dont even use soap or sponge as long as u rinse it out right away its good to go again and i been doing this for a few months with both things and both look an work good as new.

  • No doubt about it, at first glance this coffee press has a nice look. It's a gleaming coppery rose gold color, and it has a good weight to it. The handle is modern but comfortable. It's going to take a bit of care to keep it looking nice. Like nearly all products with a high shine, it's going to show fingerprints and watermarks. I haven't used it yet, just took it out of the box, and there are a few very light scratches that can't even be picked up by my camera, but it does indicate that this will scratch easily with normal use. You're going to need kid gloves with this one. Definitely hand wash and don't use anything other than a soft cloth and mild dish soap. Take care not to bang it on the sink accidentally. On the top where it plunges down, you can see that the coating hasn't entirely covered the metal. Hopefully that will not be an issue in the future. The above was written before I used this coffee press. Now that I've used it, I'm adding on another star because it performs beautifully. The mesh screen Is fine enough to filter out the grounds and merrily scrapes down the carafe. On my particular coffee press, it does make a sound like fingernails on a chalkboard, but experience from owning many, many coffee presses says that they all can't be calibrated perfectly. Yours may or may not make that sound. It holds the heat better than a glass carafe. A very good way to make coffee or even loose tea. So that's the good and the bad of this product. I hope very much that this review can help you to make a decision about whether or not you'd like to invest in this coffee press. It might not be perfect, but I like it very much.
