This portable electric espresso machine comes with the machine itself, a USB-C charging cable a small scoop, user manual, and different adapters depending upon the size of the coffee pod or if grounds are used. The unit has a single power button that allows you to check the charge and turn the unit on. You can start the unit with one long press to brew or two presses to heat and then brew. The unit worked well in our testing and it brewed a good espresso from a small-sized Nespresso pod. We would recommend this brewer for those on the go. Overall I believe it is of good value for the cost. As always I will evaluate long term and update with any new information.
The idea of this coffee maker is great, but sadly it is not executed correctly and leaks everywhere. The base was leaking coffee all over our counter the first day we used it. We followed directions perfectly and did not overfill it. In the troubleshoot instructions it says if it is leaking it probably has coffee grounds in it. This thing was leaking even when just running water through it with no coffee! I was really wanting this to work because I love the idea of pouring one cup of coffee at a time, but it just doesn't work. It will slowly drip coffee down the front as well through out the day so its a never ending mess. I will be returning this.
I'm very satisfied this coffee maker since it combines k cup and ground coffee in same device.Red color design is fashion and brilliant. You can make a regular cup of coffee or k cup by one button. Also, it's very easy to use that I don't have to learn any complicated function through the user manual.
Bought the aqua color cold brew coffee maker. I like this cold brew coffee maker for several reasons, the comfort grip makes it easy and gives me a secure feeling when I carry the maker. The lid where you insert your course cold brew coffee grinds screws on and off. Once you are done drinking your coffee you can remove the coffee grinds from the carafe and dump it into the trash. I have had zero coffee grinds in my coffee. I do buy cold brew coffee grounds and grind them to a coarse finish. I place 8 scoops of coffee inside the mesh removable filter and place the coffee maker in the refrigerator over night for a fresh glass of coffee in the morning. I hand wash after use and then it is ready for my next round of coffee.
This Multiserve is hands-down the best unit I’ve owned. My husband and I love coffee, but we like a rich flavor without bitterness. Some of the coffee brands we’ve used for years have gone medium-dark roast, we like light-medium, but it’s hard to find. As a result, we’ve been adding more sweetener and milk to overcome that bitterness. To our delight, using the Gold setting the bitterness has been markedly reduced and resulted in a smoother cup which is much more enjoyable. While this unit is not specifically designed for tea, using the Bold setting to dispense hot water into a cup with a teabag on the special cup holder provided an easy single-serve Earl Grey. I love this coffee maker’s multifunctions which allow me to fill any level in the carafe, plus travel mug or single cup. I can eliminate my tea maker and get more counter space since this Braun will do all I need. It’s over 100 degrees outside now so I look forward to making iced coffee with it. It’s worth noting the directions and quick start guide are well-written and illustrated, so it’s easy to set up the functions. Almost all the components are dishwasher-safe, a big plus. The heating plate is adjustable which is nice to avoid burning coffee in the pot. I would most definitely recommend this coffeemaker.
After reading less than stellar reviews, I was a bit hesitant to buy, but it was time to replace our old grind and brew machine and we didn’t want the same one that we had already replaced twice. Besides, I have other Breville products that I love, so we took a chance. Wow! This machine is intelligently designed and does so much to ensure you get the proper grind size and brew strength. It will take some time, but I recommend that you sit down and read the instruction manual from cover to cover and then get started. I love the calibration feature. We like to try different roasts and taking the time to calibrate will help you get the most bang for your buck and not waste beans. I can’t say enough about how much we love this coffee maker. To say it’s a life changer may seem like hyperbole, but if you are a coffee lover, you’ll understand. I think it's smarter than I am, but my feelings aren’t hurt in the least. Be aware that it is a tall unit (17” at its tallest point where the grind control knob is) and may not fit under your cabinets. It was a smidge too tall for my cabinets, so I created a coffee station on an open counter.
Although I was fully aware, when purchasing this small and relatively portable $20 coffee maker for travel purposes, that it was unlikely to be sturdy or elegant, it was literally the first time I tried to use it that it broke. The flimsy plastic containment "notch" which holds the cover on to the base (by snapping over a plastic post, see photo) had too tight of a fit. This rendered the unit useless without applying weight to the top of the unit, since otherwise the top of the carafe is rendered too loose to permit the unit to distribute brewed coffee into the carafe. An inexpensive lesson learned, I'll purchase a better-made product next time.
Don't waste your money! Do not believe that it does not break. Mine cracked while washing! I always handled it with kid gloves because it is so thin and fragile. Lasted all of 2 months and I am not happy!
I should start by saying that I love the coffee this machine produces and, until recently, had not regrets buying from this company. I use the machine daily and have zero issues on the quality it produces. I paid extra for the Moccamaster that has a metal insulated flask with a screw top for transit (perfect for road trips etc.). Additionally, I didn't want a hot plate where the quality of coffee reduces if you don'y consume it within a short period of time. My disappointment lies in the plastic top of the flask as this has a design flaw (as precisely the same issue has arisen twice since my purchase of the coffee brewer). The plastic top that keep the coffee warm and transportable is constructed from two moulded pieces of plastic that are 'joined' together. After a few months of use, the tope separates, leaving the bottom part of the top (the plug) tight within the flask and extremely difficult to remove. On the first occasion that this occurred, we were on a road trip to CO and 1 hour into the 12+ hour journey, I had no way of opening the carafe so it remained in the car until our return. Customer service apologized and sent a replacement which I appreciated and allowed me to continue using my flask. A few months later, the same happened again - the images show the two-part construction that has failed. The fact that this is the same failure point is a defect and could easily be remedied by a single piece top. When I raised this again with Customer Service, I was informed this was not covered by the warranty and I would need either to purchase another (defectively designed) plastic top OR, if the top will not come out of the flask, to purchase another flask (c. $100)...Let's think about this for a moment, you purchase a coffee maker for in excess of $300 for the purposes of making coffee yet - BECAUSE OF THEIR DEFECTIVE TOP - you can no longer use the coffee machine for the purpose you bought it for. And if you DO buy the replacement part - so you can use your coffee machine - you can expect to repeat the process when again it fails. The plastic part is $15 (not a lot of money) unless you need to replace the flat when the price is c$100. The response from customer service over this will stop me recommending others to purchase this machine (and 5 of my friends have so far bought based on my recommendation). And, here's an idea...perhaps redesign an obvious defect so that the entirety of the product is at an excellent quality. In short, an excellent coffee brewing capability marred by poor customer service and an extremely poorly designed part that can hinder/prevent you using ithe machine. The response from Moccamaster customer service is beyond disappointing and not representative of an otherwise well thought out product.
This coffee maker is the perfect inexpensive solution for brewing coffee while camping, road trips, boating etc. Being that it truly only draws a max of 663 watts of power it can easly be powered using a portable battery inverter. It is very efficient, we recently brewed six back to back mugs of coffee and we barley dropped 1 bar of power.
Update 10-04-24 Still works (knock on wood LOL). I brew 3 cups every day using a 50:50 mix of purified water and spring water when refilling the tank. These "Topadorn" mugs (here on coffeemakers.us.com) fit perfectly without having to remove the drip tray. 10oz setting won't fill the mug, but the tall mug keeps the coffee from splattering onto the machine and counter. Plenty of room left for hot milk or whipping cream ;) I unplug the machine after every use, hoping this will contribute to longer life of the Keurig. Yesterday was not a good day in my house because my "Keurig K45 Elite Brewing System" died after about 9 1/2 years of faithful daily service. Today my new Keurig arrived, and I am almost happy the old one died! My kitchen is small and the last machine was bulky compared to this. I love that the water reservoir of this Keurig can be positioned either on the side of the machine or behind it, and unlike my old machine (and some current models) there is a sturdy handle on the reservoir which makes handling it so much easier. I switched its position from side to back of machine which was super easy to do, no tools required. Freed up so much more counter space in my kitchen where every square inch counts LOL. My last machine was white and I was tempted to buy another white one but ended up buying the black one because it was about $27 cheaper than the white model. In my opinion a small black appliance does not look bad in a white kitchen, and I am actually glad now I didn't buy white because every little splatter of coffee shows on white, I was constantly wiping down my old machine. Now I only just hope this machine will last as long as the old one. If any issues were to come up I'll be back here.
This coffee maker is perfect! Iced coffee for me, hot for my son and a full pot when family visits. It takes up less room than my old standard coffee maker and I love that I can choose between K pod or grounds.
Build quality = 10/10 Easy of cleaning = 10/10 Value for money = 10/10
Works like a charm! Always has water and has a wakeup feature that can be set to heat just in time.
This is my 2nd Bonavita coffee maker. After a lot of research I decided on this brand because the coffee is hot @ 205 degrees. My first one is an 8-cup with a glass pot and is close to 12 years old and still functions perfectly. It was just getting hard to keep clean in its old er age and the heat plate for the pot was rusting. This new 5-cup also makes hot coffee and functions basically the same. I do have 2 issues with this newer one though. 1) When pouring coffee into a cup the coffee dribbles down the side of the pot and makes a mess(see pic). This is day 3 and I can't make it not spill everywhere. It does come with a screw on lid to keep the coffee warm after brewing and maybe it pours better with the lid on ?? but when I'm leaving for work in the morning I just want to fill my cup and go -I don't want to screw a lid on for one pour and then have something else to clean. 2) the water reservoir is a dark smoke color and the measuring markings on it are so light they are barely visible. I have to hold my finger on the 4 cup line so I know when to stop adding water. I'm not sure if I am going to keep it or not. The way it pours may be a dealbreaker for me... I'll give it a few more days and then decide. I do recommend this brand for hot coffee.
