So far, this is the best coffee pot we've ever had. The filter area has a lid. No more grinds spewing over the top. There is a straw in the middle of the carafe where the coffee drips down. No spilling. This thing functions great. The coffee tastes better. It's a little expensive but so worth it!

  • this compact coffee maker is too cute and very functional. space saving. features include automatic drip stop when carafe is removed. holds the temperature very well after brewing. never have to buy filters again, the built in filter basket just wash it and place back in its space. great price and it's stainless steel combination adds to the high end look.

  • Ordered this as a gift. My friend said the bottom piece fell off when she took it out of the box. It's on the bottom and doesn't seem to have anything to do with the actual functioning of the coffee maker but leads me to believe it's cheaply made. Hoping that doesn't turn out to be the case.

Had it for a couple of months, used it daily, and cleaned it well, never dropped it, yet somehow shattered randomly one morning. Updated Review: I contacted customer service and they replied right away, plus agreed to replace the french press since it comes with a 1yr warranty.

  • I have a SMEG tea kettle which I like, so I decided to buy same brand coffeemaker. After my SMEG arrived, I was impressed how it looks. Really classy. It was received in mint condition, in pristine manufacturer's packaging. I'm using my SMEG for about 1.5 months now. So far I'm satisfied with functionality, brew speed, with the easiness of use, handleability. After reading reviews I was worried about small opening of the water reservoir. I didn't find it problematic. The opening is big enough to pour water without spilling. I like how stable SMEG coffeemaker stays on the counter, the base stays in place, it's not moving if you pushed it accidentally. SMEG made of plastic indeed. Hopefully it's made of better quality plastic compare to cheaper brands. I use paper filters for coffee, to avoid direct contact with plastic.

While heating up this guy is loud! We've had icoffee machines for the last 5 years. I can't seem to find those so I went with the known. I'm happy with this machine except the noise. It also doesn't feel as well made as the icoffee machine. The plastic is not as heavy or well constructed and it holds less water so we constantly fill it (annoying) but its here and its white and I'm keeping it. Works well just expected more of Kuerig- we'll see how long it lasts. Came well packed when shipped from this seller- double boxed.

  • Just opened and used for the very first time only to find these issues while washing it up. I worry water is going to get in between the two layers that provide insulation since it appears there are chips and breaks in the seams.

Had some infused liquor from a restaurant and fell in love with it. Decided to come home and find something where I could do it at home myself. Found this gem and fell in love. Have made three or four batches and they have all came out amazing. This is definitely a must-buy but not sure what you're using it for

While it’s made with solid construction- first use and I’m already wishing I got the pitcher I had last time. The basket does not have a removable bottom, so this will be harder to clean residual grounds from. Also- this one the basket attaches to the lid, so when the grounds go into true water, they all float to the top and you have to vigorously shake just to start to get the grounds wet to fall down into the water. With my other pitchers (this is my 3rd), since the basket attached to a ring at the top that had a handle attached and the lid was put on separately, you pour the water over the grounds, they’re immediately soaking up the water and submerged, only a little shake needed. Attached photo is after a minute of vigorous shaking and 5 minutes later. My other pitchers would immediately be darker, grounds getting soaked.

For a full pot in my previous Mr. Coffee unit of this same size, I always used 3 scoops (tbsp) of grounds. The coffee was perfect. If I put 3 scoops in the "permanent filter" of this unit, it overflows during the brew. The overflow carries grounds into the filter basket, and straight into the pot. If I don't waste the last of the pot, I get a mouthful of coffee grounds in my final swig. Yum. I've taken to using paper filters instead, but they don't really fit very well. I use the permanent filter as a form to press a paper filter neatly into the filter basket. Even then, the water arm catches on the paper filter, so you have to swing it into place by hand, and push the filter back into place after the arm is in place. (See photo) But hey, after that hassle every time you brew, the coffee is terrific! And it's possible that everything would be ducky if one were to use two, not three, scoops to make a pot. But dammit Jim, a man's gotta have standards! P.S.: I'm fortunate to have world-class water where I live, because that goofy water purifier thingy is a bad joke. When, out of curiosity, I tested it (with the permanent filter of course), coffee saturated—and seriously stained—the pad on the first run; reusing it even once would be unappealing.

It is bigger than I realized/thought doesn’t take up a massive amount of counter space. I love the touch screen and how easy it is to set the time and program it. It seems complicated but was actually very easy to figure out. One of my favorite features is the Keep Warm function- the plate has a red warning sign that lets you know the plate is still hot/on and you can set the time for how many hours you want the plate to stay warm. Secondly, I love the brew options for single serves or how I can brew a half pot, 3/4th or a full pot. And the no drip option is a plus (just use the lever under the interface to close the spout.). It also has a built in frother, which is obviously easy to use- just a button and it works very well. The reservoir is large, which is also a plus- if you mostly use single serve, you won’t have to constantly fill the water tank like with smaller single serve machines. Overall, I love this machine! There are so many brew options and they even give you a receipt book for specialty brews. It’s easy to figure out but I would recommend using YouTube for a better demonstration as the instructions aren’t great. One thing I read that most people don’t like is the it takes a minute or so to warm up but that doesn’t bother me especially because I’ll mostly be programming mine to automatically brew in the morning.

This coffee maker is really good, there are a few things to improve but I couldn't find one that had it all and this one ended up being my choice. Being programmable is a must. We are no baristas, we just need decent flavour coffee on time. Tip: I saw a review complaining about overflowing as it brews, it did happen to me once, then I noticed the insert (where we place the paper filter) needed to be latched in place. If it just sits there without the extra gentle push, the spring won't open enough to allow coffee flow and you will end up with grains in your coffee and a very messy countertop. I actually like this feature, I had a coffee maker at my camper that the grain weight alone wasn't enough and it would overflow all the time. Hence us taking our home machine to the camper and buying this one. Pros: The carafe: this is the 1st coffee maker we have that doesn't spill as we pour. Just make sure the lid is latched. With our previous ones you had to pour in slow motion to prevent a mess, time my husband doesn't have on his morning rush to work. Waking up to a counter without coffee spills, is a joy. Talking about clean, the opening is pretty wide and easy to wash even by big hands. Temperature setting: I drink my coffee with milk and dont have patience to warm it up (I wake up very slowly). My morning coffee is now hotter. Also, due to our different schedules, sometimes by the time I get up the warmer has already timed out, having hotter coffee gives me more time to turn it back on before it is actually cold. Cons: The reservoir opening is really ackward to pour water if you use the carafe, the lid gets on the way (see pic). Our old cheap Mr Coffee opens to the side, it is a lot easier to fill with water. I gave up and now use the sink sprayer. Takes a long time brewing. Don't forget to set up the timer! This is the biggest issue for the hubby. He wakes up very early for work and waiting around for coffee to start his routine is enough to grant him a grumpy mood. He is a Bunn lover and I hate the idea of wasting energy keeping water hot all day when you only use it in the morning. Things I wish I had: Dual timer: I wish coffee makers, like home thermostats and alarm clocks, would have the option to create 2 different set of schedules so we could use the programmable feature during the week and on weekends. I could delay the timer on weekends, but I don't want to risk forgetting to reset for Monday. Warmer timer: I wish I could set how long the warmer is kept on, to me 3 or 4h would be ideal to accomodate the both if us. Some competitors have this feature. Removable water tank: I looked at other brands with removable water tank, but there were a lot of complaints about water leak, so i gave it up.

Keurig has really declined on their product quality. My old keurig we sent to school With my daughter. It was over 8 years old. Worked fine. The quality is no comparison to our old one. No stainless steel anywhere on it. The handle is plastic, the plate where your cup sits is plastic. The plastic water holder is much cheaper than the previous. We will see how it lasts.

  • Update: Bought this in September, now it’s March and the lid is splitting. I took delicate care, having seen previous reviews as warnings. I even oiled the lid. Alas this lid is really not made to last. I’ve emailed the company to see if they’ll replace the part. I like this product. I like it because it doesn't have any plastic on it. The 'science glass' is an especially interesting touch. I won't say that it keeps the liquid hot longer, but it does keep it warm for an unexpectedly long time, which is nice :). Coffee tastes better from it, since the water’s temp is more stable during the steeping. The mesh filter has a fold in it after a few first weeks, but that's not a 'science product' and I'm sure that I can find a replacement for it when it really becomes necessary in the future. I really like the cork bottom (which I pop off for washes, so that it doesn't dry) because it allows me to use my coasters for other things.

  • The Tuni E2 58mm Espresso Machine is a fantastic investment for anyone serious about home espresso. It delivers professional-quality results, is easy to use, and looks great on the countertop. The dual boiler system and powerful steam wand make it a standout in its class. If you're looking to create café-quality espresso drinks at home, this is an excellent choice.
