  • I cannot tell you how perfect the coffee is, no grounds. I boil the water in a teakettle. The filter is rinsed down the garbage disposal. The glass stove is set to warm, eight cups. The best coffee pot you will ever own, you will wash and dry it everyday and set it on your stove. Last coffee pot, hot gourmet coffee at home.

Update 9/29/2020: We are getting rid of this product already. It is poorly designed. The carafe shifts when you pour, so if the handle is not aligned properly with the pour spout, the coffee spills everywhere. When washing it by hand, it slides easily and so you have to use special maneuvers to wash it - I know, you can put it in the dishwasher, but coffee brews better with gentle washing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We just got this coffeemaker as a replacement for our prior coffee maker (Hamilton Beach - same company) under warranty. We had to choose a coffeemaker of equal or LESSER quality - this was lesser quality. The product information makes it sound like this maker has new and exciting features, but there's nothing new here. I'm not sure why they have a button to make 1-4 cups of coffee when you can simply fill the coffee grounds and water "baskets" with enough coffee and water to make 1-4 cups. What is this button doing that is so great and special? Nothing.......... The auto-stop, not auto-off, feature is not unique in any way - you take the pot off the burner while brewing a pot of coffee, and the water doesn't drip until you replace it - every coffee maker I've used in the last decade does this. Nothing new here. It does have auto-off, and so far that seems to work fine. We find that the basket doesn't fit into it's position smoothly, and it takes some jostling to get it right. This isn't really a big deal, but annoying since it takes a little more time than we like to get things going in the morning. Gotta get that first cup out quickly! At the end of the day, this coffee pot is fine; nothing new or exciting. This is of the most basic of basic coffee makers.

  • This is just as functional as it is beautiful, at a small size and price. Use it every day with my 5-cup Bonavita brewer.

A french press has a filter screen for a reason, to filter grounds. When the screen contacts the handle for the grounds lifter, a gap is created to either side of the handle between the screen and the not round flask interior, allowing grounds through, lots of them. The photo, if it posts, shows the design flaw. Regarding the 5 star reviews, how do you give something 5 stars then admit there are more grounds in your coffee? If you enjoy grounds in your coffee, why bother with a filter at all?

This is sold as ‘Stainless Steel’ finish…its NOT! Its plastic that looks like SS. See photos of new unit vs. old single unit that IS actually Stainless. Disappointing Keurig!

Wife's Christmas present, and we love it. Coffee comes out piping hot and makes good cappuccino and latte's. Would definitely recommend. Frother works great.

  • There is a way to keep it warm longer. But it just doesn't stay very warm. They need to work on that so it stays hotter. My other problem is that the cleaning light has come on and I've done just about everything to clean it and it's still on. And I can't find anything that tells you how to clean it and turn off the light and that's even after having an unplugged for hours. If anybody knows how to turn off the cleaning light please let me know! 😁😳

I bought this model originally May 2020. No issues until about March 2022. I figured it was the machine, so we replaced it with the same model as we really like it in April 2022. Almost immediately had the same issue. So we figured maybe we were doing something different/wrong after over 30 years of drinking/making coffee. One day I bought a different brand of coffee from the store because I ran out of the brand I subscribed to, Black Rifle. No explosive grounds the first time, still tended to ride up the sides, but not a huge mess. So then, we thought, maybe Black Rifle changed their grounds up and I stopped our subscription with them. Still wanting a better quality coffee, we tried a couple of better quality brands off the shelf and decided to grind them ourselves. Every day, no matter how course or fine we would grind the grounds, 90% of the time we deal with the mess shown in the pictures. Since this occurs with multiple coffee brands as well as different grind courses, it has to be the machine. I grabbed an old cusinart out of the basement… no mess. Which stinks because now I have to wait almost 10-15 minutes for a pot rather than under 2mi.

  • Why would they even send this with a messed up filter? I can't even use it. Very flimsy. UPDATE: I bought tiny filters, because I wanted to see if this thing worked. Well it feels like a toy, but it brewed a nice cup of coffee. I changed my review from 1 to a 3.

  • This pour over coffee maker is really handy to have for a quick cup of coffee. I really like that it has fine mesh in it, it's actually good enough to use without a paper filter. In these pictures I tried to show how it fits on different sizes of mugs. The blue flower mug is a standard 12 oz coffee mug, the "M" mug is about 16 oz, and the pink and black floral mug is somewhere between 18 and 20 oz. It fits nicely on top of all of them. The silicone rinses out really easily and it pops down to be super flat so it's easy to store. I think this is my new favorite coffee accessory.

  • Missing the cover on the base to sit cup on ??? Please send Disregard —- found it!

Update: after a couple months I found a couple issues that aren’t deal breakers to me but might matter to you. If you’re making a single cup, it really needs to be a tall travel cup. If you use a regular mug, coffee splatters all around as it splashes into the cup. I use a teacup and saucer and I happen to keep a candle sitting nearby so I use it to boost the cup height and avoid splashes. You could probably also use an upside down mug, etc. The lid to the carafe holds water from the side. I’d you drain it dry upside down, it seems completely dry until you tilt it and then a good amount of water comes pouring out from the back all over. Its kind of a lot of water too. It’s probably more than a shot glass worth because the brawny paper towel I used was soaked all the way through to dripping after I wiped up all the water. This coffee maker is very compact for a 10 cupper. I currently have it on a tiny side table in my office. I plan to get a bar cart and make it into a coffee station cart. This coffee maker is attractive and doesn’t stand out too much. I like that it blends in with my black planters. The carafe feels solid without being too heavy. It has a sealing lid so you can literally travel with the pot. I haven’t tested it but I think it would keep coffee hot for quite a long time since it’s double walled stainless. The lid allows coffee through with the press of a button. The boiling process is way quieter than my electric kettle. I’ve used this with k cups and my own single serve reusable filter. It come with a reusable single cup filter but I just like mine and it worked fine. The strong brew button slows the brewing a little (duh) but it’s a fantastic feature. It’s so easy to choose the size of cup you want to brew. One button click for the strong brew, keep your size or change sizes with a few presses of a button. The machine beeps when the cup is finished brewing which is perfect for me. I often do things and walk away and forget about them. The beep reminds me to go get my cup of coffee when it’s done brewing. I do wish maybe it came with a little platform or something for making a regular mug of coffee because if you’re using a standard coffee mug and not a travel tumbler or something, it can get a little splashy. The reservoir is easy to fill and clean and the pieces move quickly and simply for filling water, changing the brew basket/filter, etc. the clock was a breeze to set. I’m a manual reader and I haven’t needed the manual yet. Highly recommended purchase. Please hit the button if this info was helpful.

I ordered this to replace our previous Chemex without a handle that had broken after having for 6 years. When purchasing a new one, I ordered one with a glass handle instead. Upon arrival of the new Chemex, we opened the box to find the spout chipped. We were able to correct this with coffeemakers.us.com right away. I opted to return to a Wholefoods, and while the Wholefoods would not accept it because it was chipped, they said they could still “process” the return. I left this Chemex in my trunk not sure what to do with it in the interim. The new replacement Chemex arrived, but felt different. I attributed this to the fact that it now had a handle, so perhaps it just took some getting used to, but it felt lighter. We have been experiencing leakage when we make coffee when we pour from the spout. Our old chemex poured cleanly, but now we get dribbles from the spout EVERY TIME we pour. It’s rather messy and frankly, seems like poor design. I had not noticed this before, but when I was washing (and months after my purchase) I noticed the design at the bottom was different. Initially I thought it said “Chewex”, but I guess it reads correctly when upright. Designs before this had the shape of the chemex on the bottom. I’ve been hearing a lot about scams/fraudulent sellers through coffeemakers.us.com, and the fact that the quality has been so bad made me believe that something may be off. I still had the old Chemex that was chipped in my car, so I retrieved it to compare the two and there is absolutely a difference! The old Chemex is heavier, and the spout is wider and slightly longer. The handle is thicker and the chamber where the coffee sits is also wider. The logos at the bottom are different. I’m not sure if this is a fraudulent replacement, or a change in product design, but either are terrible. The fact that we ordered the better quality one and then the replacement was of lesser quality just feels off. If this was fraudulent, coffeemakers.us.com please investigate. If this is poor quality, shame on you Chemex for charging so much for faulty and poor quality products. We were used to a high standard and this is sad if this is what is come to expect from this company go forward. My side by side photos show the chipped Chemex on the left and the replaced Chemex on the right.
