  • Love the machine my uncle has one and this is why I chose to buy. How the one that came is is defective on the lid:( it has dents and scratches Right out of the box. It is also not making the same sound as his …. Not sure of its refurbished but I don’t think so. I brew in only one cup and it gave me 2 and some had to unplug it from wall or it would of kept going …. Something is happening also the machine is outing off a rubber smell

  • I tried to return a defective unit that leaks and doesn’t hold pressure, and the seller will not cover return shipping. This is costing me $20 to return this heavy defective unit. EDIT: the seller is now calling my cellphone claiming to be coffeemakers.us.com support, stating that I didn’t add photos or video of the problem. When I asked how I was supposed to capture a photo or video of a slow leak, they rudely hung up on me.

This is a very cute gold ole coffee maker. It is well made and looks amazing on the kitchen counter. The o ly downside is the size, it is a little small and can hardly make than two coffee cups. Otherwise it is great

Chemex has changed the manufacturing. I broke my original and needed a replacement. It arrived and was 30% lighter and wooden collar fit poorly. In corresponding with Chemex, the advised they have been shifting to carafes being made in Germany via a new process that uses higher pressure allowing a thinner (therefore lighter) glass that is stronger. Hopefully I won't test if it is really stronger and there is no way of knowing the validity of their claim. The iconic 2 piece collar doesn't this slightly different shape as well. In fact, it doesn't even touch the glass all the way around. My guess is that they have a stock of collars from the original carafe and are using them while carafes are coming from two sources. Unfortunately, that leaves the Germany-made carafes feeling cheap while the price point is anything but. I did have it replaced once as defective and the collar on the replacement is marginally better. I am seriously considering returning it and changing to a different manufacturer where the fit & finish are more appropriately aligned to price point. I am disappointed that a company renown for its form and function has failed to maintain its core values.

Received a handblown version but has a defect on the cone portion. . Wouldn’t concern me if it wasn’t glass as it makes a stress concentration/ easier to break at that point. Have any of you had this problem?

I love the looks of this sweet coffee maker but every time I pour the brewed coffee into a coffee mug it dribbles. You cannot pour without spillage. Also there was a piece broken off from the lid lock when it arrived. The lid cannot close tightly. We have used it numerous times and there is still a plasticy smell. 😢. I have to change my original review number to 3.

  • I love this brewer! I hesitated to buy it because the only experience I have with espresso beverages was ordering them at Starbucks—but after all, I reasoned, this is a Keurig, so it can’t be too complicated to use. And it’s not complicated at all! I was up and running with my first Mocha latte inside of 10 minutes, it’s that simple! It uses ordinary K-cups, whatever flavor you choose (I like Starbucks Plus, which claims to have twice the normal caffeine) and whatever milk you like, whole, soy, low-fat, etc. For Mocha, I’m using low-fat chocolate milk, but that’s just me—the rules are, there aren’t any rules! Oh, there is one rule: be sure to clean the frothing container, including the magnetic stirrer which sits on a spindle in the bottom of the frother. Of course, this is not a genuine Espresso machine, those sell for $1,000 or more, but for me, it’s plenty good enough!

  • I made the switch from my small 4 cup Mr Coffee to this model after my Mr Coffee passed away suddenly and without warning (gone too soon). Well, pour one out for him because this Ninja has snuck its way into my heart. It is larger than the 4-cup, obviously, but still compact enough to fit perfectly in the spot where I kept it. I suggest measuring before purchasing. I’m the only one who drinks coffee, so the small brew option is perfect for me, and I love I now have the option to brew more at once when I have company. I only use the rich brew option because of other reviews I’ve read, and it’s perfect. Flavor of coffee really shines. I followed instructions and ran two full pots with plain water and cleaned all removable parts, and the coffee tasted great. The delayed brew works as expected. I notice that if I still have coffee left after the stay warm feature clicks off, I can turn it on and within a minute or two the coffee is reheated, but I haven’t done this too often. This model has a permanent filter with the option of using #4 paper filters. I have skipped the paper filters and like how it tastes and find clean up a breeze. With this, expect a grittier last cup of coffee. This doesn’t bother me at all. I’ll update later if I have any issues with time. Enjoy!

Bought this for my office and love everything it can do. I like that it’s environmentally friendly and you don’t need filters or use kcups. I have used it for coffee as well as loose leaf tea. Easy to use, doesn’t take a long time for your drink to be ready. Great froth for your cappuccino or latte. Only bummer is that it is messy for normal sized cups. I don’t care I use the tall cup it comes with and pour it into my mug if I drink tea or hot coffee. All the other great things outweigh this one thing for me!

I really wanted to love this. It arrived damaged, a piece of the hinge on the top lid was broken. However, that wasn’t a total big issue so I said I’d test it to see how it works. Seamlessly connected to the Wi-Fi and Alexa. Test brew was a success and so was the one the morning after. Loved that I could start it from the bed and not worry about a timer. The next time I used it tho was a disaster. Again, started it with Alexa but when I came downstairs the coffee maker had leaked water from some unknown spot on the bottom. Water was all over the counter and the machine cut itself off so I believe it short circuited. Super dangerous and I’m livid. I didn’t do anything different from the first couple of times I used it so I don’t know what happened. Not recommending this product

Wood feels cheap/plastic- I believe descriptions said it was bamboo? Questionable. bBase is not heat resistant. After two uses there is heat stain on base. Love the glass filter, pot and stand- will keep for that alone.

  • Basket exploded on the first time I used it

I can’t say enough about this machine. It makes me happy every time I look at it. It’s quieter than my Duo or Classic were, and holds more water. It doesn’t take up a lot of space on my counter as it’s more compact than my old machines were. There are a couple of minor cons; first, the tiny bit of spatter that it creates does show more on the grey plastic plate behind your cup so a little more wiping down is required and second, the adapter that you use to brew your own ground coffee or tea (non-pods), requires you to pop out the current basket that comes with the machine, to install the adapter. If you use only ground coffee or lose leaf tea bags, it’s no big deal. Just leave the basket out and use the adapter every time. But if you switch off between pods and fresh ground, it can get to be a bit of a pain. I circumvent that issue by using a steeping cup for my husband’s tea bags and pods for my coffee. Overall, I love this machine more than any other Keurig I’ve owned. Another reviewer videoed the carafe jiggling. If you push it down until it clicks in, it won’t jiggle. I’ve had mine for a few weeks now and just love it. No problems.

Good coffee maker. We were able to make strong coffee. I love the compact size to put on our little coffee bar space. Note, the basket swings out to the right, so you have to have a good amount of space to the right of it to get the basket out...makes it a little annoying to have to completely move the maker over to get the basket out.
