You have to use the pot to measure out your water but the pot has a huge design flaw: you lose a large amount of water (or hot coffee which I’ve had run down the pot & down my arm, burning me) all over your counter, under the machine & sometimes on your hands. It’s very inconvenient having to clean up all the water & coffee. It’s a very petite coffee maker (shown next to my toaster for reference). It was a lot smaller than expected & I actually like the size more because it doesn’t take a lot of counter space. Makes ok tasting coffee. Overall, it’s good for the price just be careful when pouring your coffee.

  • Practical counter top set for 1 cup pour over coffee. Use Melitta filters. Makes a great cup of coffee. Easy and convenient and looks very tidy on my counter. The ceramic cone is very easy to clean. I only wish it had a coffee measure attached to the canister or a place to hold one rather than lying it loose on the tray. Overall, I would definitely recommend. I also really like how it looks, doesn’t take up too much space.

True to its description. Makes 4 liq oz or 118 mL coffee in a minute. Easy to store with its tiny footprint. Perfect for 1 person who doesn't drink large volume of coffee. Useful tips: 1) For strong coffee fill the filter all the way with ground coffee. 2) Remember to position the water dripper on top of the filter with ground coffee, before turning on the machine. 3) For a second cup wait for 5 min. 4) Use the black cup to measure water and the white spoon to measure ground coffee. 5) Other cups won't fit on the hot plate of this machine. So if you break the black cup, find a similar sized cup. 6) It is possible to add a paper coffee filter of US size #1 inside the permanent filter cup in case it broke.

  • Love the nice heavy weight, stainless steel thermal carafe, extra 2 filters, perfect size for 2-3 cups for myself or when a guest arrives and depending on coffee strength. I'm excited to use it tomorrow morning. This is replacing my broken large Bodum I've had for 20 plus years. I can buy a nice new smaller French Press and a 3 lb bag of coffee beans for what Id pay just to replace the glass, again. I'm no stranger to French presses, pourover or Moka Pot so using this will be a breeze. I don't think I need to break it down to most protective buyers as it's a simplistic device that makes a full bodied rich coffee. Adjusting temp, grinds and type of beans is something you'll need to experiment with to find makes your tastebuds happy. Pics after first, show it was a used one from coffeemakers.us.com that someone returned and didn't wash. People, when returning an item - CLEAN IT. Don't be one if "those" people. It smelled like cheap coffee and something else not nice. After completely dismantling and washing it soapy water, I dried it with a microfiber towel. I'm now letting hot, hot water sit in it to disinfect it. As I've been doing this review, the water has stayed hot. That's good. Glass french press's so not retain heat. I highly recommend decanting when brew time is over or your coffee will taste very bitter. Also maybe use a lighter roast, more caffeine btw. I'm happy to say that this Secura French Press actually was in pristine condition, just needed a bath and a little rub stifen with a microfiber towel. Was a total deal to buy a return from coffeemakers.us.com and give it a second chance. I bought my Moka pot that way also. So after adding grinds, it works like my Bodum, no difference except it's not transparent. Pour's consistently, make sure plumber is plunged all the way down or the lid will come off. Very satisfied. Coffee tasted delicious. Would buy another Used Acceptable product again. A little work saved me about $9.

  • Don't by this. This isn't cheap and last less than 2 months, leaks profusely. Don't waste your money. Hard time with the seller. I'm still waiting for their solution

The product package was poor; the glass was broken upon arrival. Also, the glass is so thin that I doubt it would have lasted long.

  • This was a gift that didn’t show up the first time I ordered. I reordered and it was there in two days. My sister loves how easy it is to brew just a cup or two of her expensive, specialty coffee.

So the first time I used this machine I was so super excited because I have always wanted one and I finally broke down I bought one...again so so so excited, so the first time I used it everything was fine, the second time I saw a bit of coffee grounds but not too much so I thought I did something wrong but the 3rd and 4th time I've used it so far and it's dumping more and more grounds in the carafe I'm so sad well I guess I will have to return it😫

I have been looking for a coffee maker for 6 mos, no lie. I know, I research things to death! Was originally looking for coffee maker w/built in grinder but seems as though those are incredibly loud according to reviews, so decided to get a good grinder separately and this Cuisinart coffee maker. Issues from day 1. When I brew on the 1-4 cup cycle it seems fine, doesn't brew 4 cups like my old coffee maker though, so we decided to go to 5 and even 6 and use regular brew cycle. Every time I use the regular brew cycle it brews about 1/2 of a cup, overflows from basket and I'm cleaning up a huge mess and reaching for my Keurig or old auto drip Ninja. Only had it a week so back it goes but what a hassle! Has definitely given me a not so warm and fuzzy feeling on Cuisinart products. Off to clean up and dump the basket full of water so I can pack up and send back. PS, pouring is awful with this pot but honestly if it had brewed correctly I'd have overlooked it, but you have to practically turn it upside down to pour. I imagine if I was able to brew a full pot it would be easier to pour the first 4 or so cups but after they get your wrist ready and a rag for cleaning ion the side. 1star for aesthetics, it does look nice but that's it.

  • I have few years experience for siphon coffee. First time to get electricity troc siphon coffee brewer. I tested this one with dark roasted ground coffee for 120s brew. Outcome is as great as alcohol stove. It comes with with some accessories- bar spoon and coffee measure spoon. Advantages are convenience and safety. Cz it is electricity and I don't need to store alcohol stove any more,(my kid won't get chance to touch alcohol stove). Plus, there is digital screen and both "auto 60s" modern and "manual up to 180s" modern. I don't need to keep another timer to control brew time. Others are almost same to classical one. The coffee maker is my new toy. My tester, my wife loves flavor, and love it for the convenience. Therefore, what else I should speak? Stroooooong recommended!!!

No plastic taste issue for me. Made full pot of coffee with Bunn filters which are taller, no coffee ground overflow per 2 scoops or 1/2 cup, gevalia coffee 50/50 very fine grounds I might add.. and a green plastic spray head that creates the magic.I have a stove top perculator and a stove top drip maker and this thing outperforms both. It has to be the spray head hitting those grounds and pulling out the flavor. Temp is consistent from beginning to end at 195.F +-1degree. once water heats up it takes 6 minutes for full pot. Instructions say is sensitive to mineral buildup, clean every 3 months. comes with 3 year warranty. I admit the plastic lid on pot is kind of cheesy , I keep my thumb on it so it doesnt pop up when pouring coffee. If I get 5 years out of it that would be great. Yes it's made in China, what isn't? It's been a week now and 12 pots made as of this review....Good Luck....Happy so far........

This is a bare-bones coffee machine. Nothing fancy! It does one thing that all the other fancy ones do... pour hot water over ground coffee. There is no timer, no smart technology, nor a milk frother. It has a basic plastic build, with not a lot of moving parts that I can see wearing down.
