I should have listened to the other reviews that pointed out their carafes leaked at the seam between the plastic abs the stainless steel. Mine worked great for about a week. No troubles. Delicious coffee. Easy to brew. Easy to clean. I didn’t even think the carafe was hard to pour as some had pointed out. But yesterday I spotted the leak. Drops oozing from between the plastic and stainless steel. And a good tablespoon or so of water accumulating under the carafe. It was clear, so Im assuming it’s steam that condenses around the interior edges. Well it’s going back today abs my search for the perfect small coffee pot continues.

BRAND NEW Technivorm Moccamaster 79212 KBTS. Arrived February 10, 2025. Right out of the box, there were deep scratches along the edge as you can see in the attached photos. Also notice that the “Approved European Coffee Brewing Centre” label isn’t even straight. You can’t see it in these photos, the Coffee Maker wobbles about 1mm or so. I had to press down on two of the corners to get the rubber feet to flatten to eliminate the wobble. BRAND NEW, REPLACEMENT Technivorm Moccamaster 79212 KBTS. Arrived February 12, 2025. Fingers prints all over the product as you can see in the attached photos. Again, the “Approved European Coffee Brewing Centre” label isn’t even straight. And again, the Coffee Maker wobbles about 1mm or so. I had to press down on two of the corners to get the rubber feet to flatten to eliminate the wobble. Maybe Moccamaster is good quality product. We’ll see in time. But for sure the quality of workmanship is poor, at least in my experience with two brand new Technivorm Moccamaster 79212 KBTS.

I have used a Melitta Mill & Brew for about the last 20 years, in which time I am on my second machine. I have recently had a problem with my second brew basket wearing out, so I figured it's time for a new coffee maker. I received my Cuisinart DGB-700BC Grind & Brew today and found it fairly easy to set up. After setting the time, I ran 12 cups of water through it, using one of the paper filters that came with it. I then threw that filter away, rinsed out the pot and let things dry a little. While I did this, I soaked the water filter for fifteen minutes; after running the initial pot of water through it, I rinsed it off and installed it in the filter holder then into the water reservoir. I then added fresh beans from Rwanda, set the brew strength to Strong and brewed a four cup pot. Although it seems like it used a lot of beans for a four cup pot, I was amazed at how well this first pot of coffee tasted! Tomorrow morning I'll make an 8 cup pot for the real test. If this coffee maker has consistently good coffee, ready for me when I get up every morning, that is all I can expect and I will be very happy with it. Things I am not thrilled about: I don't think this is the best looking coffee maker on the market, it's large, bulky looking and the water reservoir is in the back. I would prefer a completely black unit with larger display. My vision is poor at 20/200; the digital display is tiny, it's not back lit and is hard to see, especially for setting it up. Once set up it should not be a problem until I have to make changes due to Day Light Saving Time and/or power outages force me to make changes. These negatives are far outweighed by the promise of a great cup of coffee! I buy a variety of coffee beans from different countries around the world, so I may order an extra bean hopper to keep different beans in, then I can switch beans easily. Update: It's been a little over a week and I'm still trying to get this thing figured out 100%, but the coffee is the best I've ever made and that is a huge plus! This thing uses a lot of beans, even for a four cup pot; but that four cup pot, using beans from Rwanda at a Light City Roast, set on STRONG is one of the best cups of coffee I've ever tasted. In my coffee adventures with this machine I have found that for every day drinking pleasure a lighter coffee is desired. I set the strength to medium, set it to 8 cups but use 10 cups of water and it's still pretty strong, but that's where I am at for now. This machine makes great tasting coffee...have fun with it. I've attached a photo showing how it looks in my kitchen; I'm getting used to it.

I like this coffee maker and the thermal carafe. Coffee tastes great and it’s very simple to use. However the lid is missing a rubber sealant on the lid so the coffee leaks.

Color is off as to what is advertised. The color of the actual keurig is mint green.

  • This unit was well reviewed by some reputable sources so, having busted my fourth glass French press in as many years, and desperately in need of a bullet proof press, I gave it a shot. First off, the packaging was well designed. Unboxing gave me the sense that I’ve purchased a premium product. Which is fine and dandy, until you set aside the cards and tchotckes and look at the actual product...as you can see in the picture, this press shipped with a noticeable scratch across the top of the lid, something some other reviewers have noted. Returning it would be more hassle than it’s worth, but when you have such a well marketed and well packaged product, to have a scratch right out of the box tells me maybe this company’s priorities aren’t in the right place. I’d much rather have a company spend money on decent quality control and ship in a plain brown box, than spend their money on “Sip me baby one more time” coasters, and ship a blemished product. That said...I just made my first cup with this and it tasted great - the double filter reduced the grit by half compared to my last French press. So the hype is definitely well earned. It’s heavy and built like a tank, which is a plus for me considering I have broken my share of glass French presses, as I said earlier. I do have a concern with the construction of the lid...it is sealed as one unit (see pictures) which may seem like a great idea from an insulation standpoint, but you can see that the channel where the stem passes through doesn’t look like it has a great weld...it almost looks like it was press-fitted. Considering all the condensation that collects on the bottom of the lid, plus hand washing, there seems to be a decent chance of moisture leaking in through the joint over time. Which would not be good, since it could lead to problems down the road with rust, or nasty water collecting inside the lid. Time will tell how well it’s sealed - if I encounter problems later I’ll update my review. Considering the compromise of this design and the fact that you really don’t want to leave French press coffee in the pot for very long at all if you want optimum flavor, I’m curious why they used a “sealed” hollow lid at all. While I certainly appreciate the body being hollow since it doesn’t get burning hot on the outside, a traditional one layer lid would have been an acceptable compromise without the potential flaws of this design. All that said...I debated giving this three stars, but the coffee tastes so much better than other French press coffee, I only docked one star for the aforementioned issues.

Update (7 months of daily use): We use this every day. A couple quick observations, first that the latest model of carafe we didn’t care for. Handle felt cheap, and the look just isn’t as fun as the original. There are however, benefits to the glass lining, so if you like the new one, that’s great. Also, I read several reviews that talk about overflowing baskets. We never had that issue, but make sure you crease the filters and get the proper grind size. I also read that people complain about how many parts are involved with daily use (basket, lid, water cover., etc.) and while I can understand the frustration, in the end it’s better to keep everything clean. So many machines that are easier to use, less fiddly, hide oils, grinds, and other contaminates in areas you really can’t ever clean. So it’s nice to have the ability to really take things off and deep clean. Finally, I can’t stress enough how using a smart plug with more advanced timing capabilities has really changed the way we prepare the night before and brew early in the morning. Definitely recommend that. Overall we are still very happy with it, and have done about 4 full descale and tabz cleaning sessions and it all comes out as new. Original Review: We use this every day, replacing an old worn out drip brewer from 10+ years ago. Figured it was time for an upgrade to a simpler machine that’ll last us many, many years to come. FYI, our machine came with the OLD carafe, not the new glass lined carafe shown in the photos. Pros: - Can be used with a smart plug for a far more advanced setup with scheduling. - Brews an excellent cup of coffee. If you can use a scale, do so. 69-71 grams of coffee for 1.25L of water is a good ratio. You can tweak to get a stronger or lighter brew with your grinds and extraction. - Easy to clean and maintain, descale every 100 batches or so depending on how hard your water is. - Urnex TABZ or CAFIZA work great for removing oils and stains in carafes. - Workflow is easy to manage whether you prep night before or setup in the morning. - Serviceable with Mochamaster offering most parts to replace by the user. - Latest model includes a smaller, right angle plug (US model) that makes countertop use much easier. - Polished silver really disappears if you have a lighter kitchen as we do, versus say, black, red, or stone grey. Cons: - If you need programmability, look elsewhere, or use a smart plug (which is arguably better anyway). - Lots of parts, but not over the top, just something to keep in mind. - Simple machine with no bells and whistles to adjust anything, but expect a Gold cup of coffee (SCAA rating) which arguably doesn’t need adjusting. - It’s pretty tall, but so are many machines now. So keep that in mind for under cabinet use. - Approved sticker (see photo) is lame. Hand applied and crooked which I guess gives it ‘character’?!? - Wish they had more color selection in this model.

Let me start off by saying the box arrived a little damaged, and I did find two broken pieces of plastic in the box. I'm not sure why, because I inspected the Dickens out of this machine and everything looks just fine... Nothing seems to be broken or chipped off anywhere, and the pieces don't seem to be broken off of anything of importance... Weird. lol I'm not sure if that was just a faux pa on the manufacturer's part. That's why I'm only giving 4 stars. I did run some water through a few times before I brewed some coffee, as the instructions indicate. No leaks! :) By the way... This machine brews a mean cup of coffee! It's delicious, and I love that I don't have to buy paper filters any longer. It comes with a basket within a basket. The basket inside the main basket is the filter. Wash, rinse and reuse -- Yes, please. lol The plastic is nice and shiny, no scratches, and the lid that closes over the coffee baskets snaps shut, which is a nice touch. It even came with a cute little black scooper (photo)! I also LOVE that I don't have to wait for the entire pot to brew before I can have a cup of coffee! If there is enough in the pot to pour a cup, I can quickly pour it, then place the pot back under to finish brewing. My old one didn't do that. I would definitely recommend this product!

  • Title and pictures of this shows and says 40oz. I got my package and it’s smaller than expected and it says on my box “34oz.”

I liked the Taurus coffee maker. The filterless brew system worked well and the coffee stayed nice and hot. The contemporary style is sleek snd beautiful.

I use it with both Nespresso and kcup for latte. How hubby use custom grind from r coffee. It works well for our use, easy to use, no maintainace needed so far (10mo). Couple minor issues 1) smallest brew for Nespresso pod with this machine is 2oz which is still too much for espresso 2) handle to open seem really fragile while the top is on really hard, so everytime you lift it feels like the handle will get ripped off 3) stand for espresso cup is a tad small for my latte cup, though fine for espresso cup

  • This is my first espresso maker and was excited to try it out! I unboxed the machine, set it up on my counter and primed/cleaned it as per the instructions. The color I got is an old school sea green that is really pretty and retro looking. Priming/cleaning is super simple and the instructions were pretty clear on that. After getting it ready I ground my coffee and made my first cup - delicious! Of course a lot depends on the water and beans you use, and used filtered water with Lavazza Espresso beans. The unit comes with a solid portafilter and two stainless steel filter baskets (1 Shot and 2 shot sizes). At first I didn’t realize you could remove the filters but all you do is line up the dot in the filter with the one on the portafilter (duh). It also comes with a coffee scoop with a plastic tamper to pack in the grounds - I wish the tamper was metal like the portafilter as it cheapens the look of everything else, but I guess I can always buy a nicer one. The whole process is super easy: fill the water tank, turn the unit on, pack your grinds in the size of your choice, connect the portafilter to the unit and hit the proper button (1 or 2 shots) then boom - out comes your shot(s)! Now, I haven’t yet actually made a cappuccino, since I prefer an espresso shot, but I did play with the steamer and it seems to work well. The one thing I will say is the unit itself is pretty light so you will have to use two hands when you load/unload the portafilter. I’ll update later when the girlfriends tries the steamer. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this is you don’t need a grinder in your unit and just need something that doesn’t take up much space. It’s a beautiful design that I love using. Additionally, they provide recipes and can hop on their website for more recipes and parts.

  • SO cute and easy to use. You won't even need to look at the instructions to know how to use it. The coffee pot is strong and sturdy so I have faith it won't break easily, same for the machine itself. My guests love the coffee machine because of its unique design and so do I! I love love love this coffee machine! It makes great coffee too! It doesn't leave coffee grinds in your cup either. Also keep in mind this is great for those who make coffee for 1 or 2 people. I am the only one in the house who drinks coffee so since one pot makes 2 cups of coffee, this product is perfect for me. It may not be ideal for others who drink more or often need it for more than 2 people at a time.
