The coffee maker only lasted 18 months. Well, not even actually before I started to use duct tape and a piece of popsicle stick to hold the button down in on position and using the plug to power on or off which was about 12 months of not an everyday use since some days I prefer a cup of espresso or cappuccino instead. Then one day recently I had my daughter and her bf staying over and one had to go and hit the switch off. I got one more use by pressing both sides down before it quit completely. Had expected for it to last a bit longer for the use it got. Otherwise for the time I had with it it had worked nicely. Now it's time to move on to a new coffee maker.

After about 2 weeks of daily use, a crack has developed on the glass tube, and it has grown over the following uses until pieces of glasses fell off. I gently clean it after every use, never bumped against any hard object. I had been using a Hario syphon for 3 yrs and nothing happened to it, it was left overseas so i needed a replacement. Now i'm switching back to Hario.

  • Pros: ✔️ Compatible with Hario V60 filters (size 01) ✔️ Drinking lid doesn't leak at all—not even when upside down ✔️ Insulated cup keeps coffee warm for hours ✔️ Great build quality Cons: ❌ The inside of the cup (2⅜"⌀ x 4½"H with the top open) is too small to store even the smallest of travel grinders—and with the brewing cone/cap screwed in, the usable height is further reduced to 3¾". The most I could fit was the body of a Hero S01 (3⅜" tall) *without* its catch cup (or handle, of course). ❌ The only thing the Cuppamoka saves you from having to bring is a brewing cone—you still need a kettle and, if you care about freshness, a separately packed grinder. Considering the cone is the smallest component of the setup, the Cuppamoka ends up being not all that practical. If only they'd made the cup large enough to store a small grinder, the space savings could've been huge. 😞 ❌ Too expensive for its limited usefulness.

This does not actually make a 12 ounce cup of coffee. 8 ounces was the biggest cup I could get out of it.

  • This machine makes a very smooth cup of coffee. I noticed an improvement in taste and drinkability compared to my previous traditional coffee maker. Being able to make cold brew is great. It taste as good as my local coffee shop! Scheduling my morning coffee has never been easier. I wake up to my morning coffee ready thanks to the easy scheduling feature. Being able to fine tune your cup/mug size is really nice. I’m able to make a full pot of coffee, half a pot, or other mug sizes. Having the external water tank is very convenient. Being external, it lets me easily clean and refill the tank. A great feature is the dripstop function that keeps your warming plate clean. Overall I highly recommend this Braun MultiServe Plus Drip coffee system, it has all the great features any coffee drinker will enjoy.

By far the best coffee press I've owned. I've had some nice glass carafe presses, but they've all broken from some mishap or another. This stainless steel press is of very high quality and does a great job keeping my coffe warm throughout the morning. I have a similar double wall stainless mug that I use--it's 16 oz and I fill it once and top it off after an hour. I'd venture the total volume of coffee I get is ~20 oz total.

  • This is very easy to use. I use Coffee By Design Alonzo double dark, dark roast coffee. Grind your coffee coarse. With this brewer I found I can use about 1/34 cup of ground coffee in the filter. Fill up with spring water. I let it steep for 24 hours. Take out the filter with the grounds. Place the coffee in the refrigerator. The Alonzo puts out a very, very strong cup. Dilute your cup with cold spring water to taste. It is so simple. The filter cleans easily. Quality beans will give you the best results. I highly recommend this cold coffee brewer.

This coffee machine was GREAT for about 30 days. One morning ready for my daily cup, and stops working!!! Co.plete waste of money. In fairness it was great, while it lasted but not worth the inconvenience not a well built product.

  • Liked the size, built well, and looks good. Very nice.

I've finally found a coffee machine that my husband is happy to use. This is quick and easy to setup and simple to use. It makes an excellent pot of coffee with a robust and rich flavor. It's easy to maintain and clean. This is a great quality coffee maker.

  • Looks like a toy. Disappointing

I liked it, although there is some sediment in the coffee, but I was happy using this instead of a Chemex paper filter. I bought this on July 21st, 2024. It is now September 16th of the same year, and look what happened. So the filter, which I loved, is a POS. So, be prepared to upgrade the filter.

I rarely take time to review purchases, but if I can spare someone else from buying one of these and having the same problems I've had it will be worth it! When we first got this machine we liked it, except for poor design of the pouring part of the carafe, which frequently leads to spills when filling narrow-necked thermoses. I could have lived with that. However after ~40 days I awoke to find this machine covered in water, which I believe was condensed steam. The electronic display was completely obscured, rendering it impossible to set the clock/brew timer. I bought the model with the thermal carafe, which I've read is identical to the model with the glass carafe but for the fact that the glass carafe model has a heated base to keep coffee warm. Well, they apparently use the same base for this model but must disable the heating element somehow. But whatever malfunction caused the excessive steam and the display problems evidently re-enabled the heating element, as the outside of the thermal carafe was super hot, as was the plate it rested on. I *specifically* selected a thermal carafe model because I don't like having a heating element like that operating when I'm not there to keep an eye on it! Long story short, this thing is a piece of junk that lasted just past 30 days before becoming absolutely useless. I have attached a photo of the illegible display--keep in mind this happened after only ~40 days!
