  • This is a great pot. Keeps coffee hot for a long time. The only problem I've had with it is It leaks around the top when you pour. (see Picture) Perhaps it's missing a gasket. Or perhaps I just need to tighten the top on with a Large Pipe Wrench!!! I'm open to suggestions.

*Photo courtesy of Floor9* I, like many other reviewers here, am a coffee snob. I started my journey with some crappy hand grinders and pour over cones. I, like almost every normal person, hate waking up in the morning. As such, I looked into automatic drip brewers that didn’t suck. I used the SCAA as my guide, as well as reviews on various blogs. Unfortunately I chose this one, and I’m thoroughly disappointed. One of the first things you learn when you start making coffee is that you need to have the water between 195-205 degrees. Too cold and you will end up with underextracted coffee, too hot and you will end up with overextracted coffee. This brewer does indeed get up to that temperature, which is why it ended up on SCAA’s list, but it doesn’t get up to that temperature before it starts brewing. As you can see in the picture, as provided by the Floor9 blog, it starts brewing WELL outside of the recommended temperature. Is it hotter than most cheap makers? Sure, but it’s not even close to being hot enough. As such, you’ll end up with a pot of underextracted, sour coffee every time. I’ve spent the last several months trying to dial it in, changing the grind size between fine and coarse on my Baratza Virtuoso, changing around the ratio, trying coffees from all different kinds of roasters, and have always ended up with unpalatably sour coffee. Changing the setting to bold seems to help somewhat, but only for dark roasted coffee. Coffees from Africa and lighter roasts will still come out sour. Avoid this grinder and maybe check out the Brehmor Brazen or the Bonavita.

I got my ninja for Christmas and I absolutely love it, but as of 10 mins ago I went to pour me another cup of coffee an noticed that it was off. So me thinking it's an issue moved it to another outlet, and still it hasn't turned on or even flashed with power. I flip it over to see if I can take the back off or a panel to see if I can fix it some how and it don't have traditional screws, and I don't have a tool that will work, my husband thinks it may be a blown fuse but I have to wait till he gets home to find out. Besides this it's an amazing coffee pot! I hope that we can fix this issue easily 🙏.

We have a love hate relationship with this machine. For the sake of brevity, we’ve had this for going on 3 months now, and we’ve had pretty ok coffee with it, really not good coffee with it, and LOTS of mess. The pictures are below to show what I won’t address through writing. The comments about temperature are spot on, this machine does not steam the milk to any right temperature. There is also no way to regulate it… which is critical for making cappuccinos or lattes. The froth adjuster simply adjusts the amount of foam, when it wants to work. The frother (pitcher?) assembly is the other kill joy of this machine. Be prepared for the smell of old milk, regardless of how well you clean it. We have learned to know it ends up smelling bad. In my opinion, simply having a foam frother that you then remove and self pour would significantly increase the value of this product! And the frother also doesn’t regulate the AMOUNT of milk, and there is no sensor to prevent overflows. It relies entirely on the amount you put into the pitcher, and max will most certainly cause a mess. The espresso side is where this machine shines. It comes with 1 and 2 shot portafilter inserts, tamp and scoop, and successfully pulls shots like a champ. It will give you a genuine shot, of course with the correct espresso ground. Please do your research on shot prep, as the directions are somewhat lacking. While the espresso side shines, the entirety of the frothing assembly makes this machine generally problematic. I recommend either spending more on a reputable brand, or purchasing a separate espresso and milk frother, as your results will be much greater than you’ll get with this product. If convenience is extremely important to you and you are willing to endure the issues stated, you would enjoy this machine. That’s the two star rating, it is convenient and brews an ok latte/cappuccino when it does work. Thanks for reading. See pictures below.

Had this coffee maker for around 5 months. A few times we had issues where it wouldn't turn on. More recently, the 'descale' light came on, so my wife and I bought the descaling liquid and ran through the instructions twice, but it still won't turn off. Then today we had what could only be called an explosive brew (pic attached). Made a real mess. Seems like this model/machine is a dud. Trouble is, it's too expensive to have this many problems.

  • I think this little coffee maker will last quiet awhile. It is a small but it is perfect for me! Maximum water is 8 oz. however I have been filling it with less since I add liquid creamer. I highly recommend this product. It is slow in brewing but I have other things I do while its brewing. It holds a normal coffee cup size as well as larger one with the cup being out of the perimeter. The oversized cup can't be any taller than 4.5 inches and a circumference no larger than 4 inches. It is adorable! It is very easy to pour water in it. One of the reviews said it was difficult. Its not difficult. The swing thingy has to be moved out of the way which is no big deal. It doesn't have automatic shut off but that's cool with me. I love it!

  • My husband and I are all day, every day java drinkers! Our coffee machine is important! I researched for days, reading reviews, looking at functions, looking for extras. I found it!! This Ninja machine IS a machine. It is a nice size, fits under standard cabinets, is quiet and I have had no issues with 'steaming' or leaking, at all. The frother is sooo much fun. We super enjoyed frothing for our coffee. No, it does not heat the milk but, come on, most coffee machines are a turnaround and step or two from the microwave. Nuke some milk for 30-40 seconds, froth for 30, boom! Great coffee at home! We have had Cuisinart and Keurig. This Ninja has them both beat. This is our first one in years that isn't a k-cup maker. I was a bit nervous about that but took a chance. Glad I did!! It is so nice to have the scooper and frother on the side with their own little hide away slots! You can set the amount of time to keep the pot warm. We keep ours for 2 hrs. Let's be truthful. Who lets a pot of coffee sit for over 2 hrs without enjoying every cup? Right! NO burnt taste. That was key to giving this machine 5 stars. To a coffee lover, there is nothing worse than burnt tasting coffee. I am excited to make some iced tea and try the recipe book! I'll be back for that review. In the meantime, if you are looking for a great coffee machine that does everything you want, look no further! Ninja has swooped in. Make it a great day...with a super good cup of coffee! ~~Tina

  • This particular Bodum is badly made, with a flimsy plastic plunger, that leaks coffee granules. Very disappointing product. Brand new, used once.

  • I've never really drunk a lot of coffee before, mostly instant. But a friend of mine brought me a bag of whole bean coffee from Guatemala. So I bought this French press to try it out. I was not Disappointed! It was simple to use and easy to clean. I made 1 cup and let it brew for about 4 minutes. I added the sugar to the French press. Probably doesn't make a difference though. It was a completely different experience. I've never had a cup of coffee like this before. BTW, I ground ghe beans on my bullet blender. Worked great

This is the brewing is perfect for my coffee bar and the grinder is built in! The grinder is also adjustable. I also love it's large capacity for water and it has one button press settings for smaller 2-4 cup brewing. There is touch screen with easy settings for the clock and automatic timer. This brewer made the hottest and freshest drip coffee I've had in a long time. The machine is fully loaded and looks so beautiful too with the stainless steel.

  • For the price this is the perfect coffee maker to meet my needs. My husband prefers regular coffee and I want to drink decaf. I did not want to use K Cups because I like to control the strength of my coffee. I like it stronger, especially if I am going to make a cappuccino. The taste is great and it is nice and hot. It is very small, which I love. I also like that, since it brews one cup at a time, I can switch up the flavors easily. Only hard part is waiting for it to brew, but like any other drip pot, you have to wait. Definitely worth the price!

  • Lovely box set! The color is really beautiful in person and the press is sturdy and looks good on my counter. Tempted to get another as it would make a really great gift. The coffee tin has a dial so you can keep your coffee beans fresh and the matching scoop is great quality. Would recommend!

  • I do not drink coffee, but my husband does. I was painstakingly making drip coffee, by hand. It was taking me forever and I’ve had enough lol. I spent about a week looking at reviews and finally took a chance on this Mr. coffee. It was definitely more expensive, than I had originally wanted spend… I think I spent about 65 bucks. However, so so worth it, at least for me. It is saved me so much time and there’s always hot refills of coffee or tea, on hand. Lifesaver. The warmer keeps it hot for four hours, which was super important to me. A lot of the other options had two hours before the cut off, and that’s just not enough time for me. So far, I have made both coffee and tea, many many times, over the last couple of weeks. It’s super easy to clean. It’s very user-friendly. I have not used the brew later option yet, so I cannot report on that function. Love it - highly recommend. However, if it breaks down or ask out, I will try and post an update . Oh, I’ve also uploaded a few pics… One shows fresh pot of coffee, the other one is tea. I also have a pic showing that the shower sprayer, seen over teabags, it’s kind of small, so even though it’s a showerhead, it’s not covering the entire span of the reusable filter. It’s not that important to me, but it was a feature that I was looking forward to having, And I will say that I was under the impression it would be larger, so they would spend more area. But it works great, regardless and I love this coffee maker!
