I purchased a Chemex for my husband for Christmas. He loved it because coffee tasted smoother. Seven months into using it, it developed a hairline crack. I emailed Chemex about its warranty and was told they would only honor it if it was purchased directly from Chemex. Why in the world would anyone purchase it from a retailer then? So, disappointed about that so I will not be purchasing another especially if it doesn't even last a year.

I ordered this after I thought my old kurig had died. 5 mins after I ordered the new one I realized it was a circuit breaker. Fixed that..all working again. I tried to immediately cancel the new order but it wouldn’t let me. So I thought, oh well, it’s does have free return shipping, they’ll just have to pay to return it. It sat in my hallway for several days until I broke down and opened it. It’s WONDERFUL! ! Lovely tasty coffees and lattes etc. It also looks great on my countertop too. Sorry Kurig, you’re not getting it back! It’s mine now ☕️ PS. I did plug it into a dedicated GFI. I think that helps with some tripping problems some have had.

The lid broke after a few months and there’s no way to contact customer service. Buy a different brand.

We have enjoyed this percolator for three months and only hand wash the various parts. However, we were about to pass the coffee this morning and discovered that the glass knob had cracked along the threads. Was this due to heat or a defect in the glass? We are not sure but we could never have imagined that the glass knob would crack in three months.

So I got this yesterday and used it 3 times already into this morning. After years of overnight brewing, straining it in the morning, then microwave it to get it hot, then washing the Mason jars and lids, and the filters I had enough. I did it that way because of my acid sensitive stomach so I was worried if doing it this new way would upset my stomach. It did not 😊. Anyway I decided to change it up for something faster. THIS coffee maker is very nice. The coffee comes out very hot and quick, and this machine is much quiter than a dang microwave and the beeping beeping when done. Cuisinart made a good machine. Also cheaper than a Kuerig. Now the best part IS, it comes with a reusable cup and filter which makes this environmentally friendly because I don't like those k-cups with their bad aluminum tops and plastic. If you want a nice quick and quiet, inexpensive machine, I highly recommend this one. The blue light makes it look nice too.

I bought this product to make coffee at work. I read the description (makes tea and coffee) and thought it would do the trick. After using it for a few weeks, I can recommend this for tea but not so much coffee. First issue is the filter insert (see picture). The center protrusion of the built in filter doesn't allow the #4 cone filter to sit properly, you have to position it to the side. After carefully removing the built in filter, the #4 cone did sit better. Next issue is the circumference, which doesn't allow the #4 cone to fan out properly and gets bunched up (see picture). Because of this, you have to be mindful of water level when brewing. The slim design and flip top lid are great features. But lIMHO, this product is best suited for tea. If you want a smart dripper for coffee, I suggest looking elsewhere.

Disappointed that after two plus years of use, the hinges broke. Pictures show the tiny hinges and the places where they are mounted. This is so unacceptable but this is just part of our throwaway world.

Spend a little more and get something that actually works. Tried 3 different K-cups, of which each exploded while trying to brew. Hamilton Beach support said they only recommend Great Value or Green Mountain brand cups. Neither of these worked either. Don't waste your money on this product like I did.

The color is nice and the quality seems fine, except for the fact that it arrived scratched in a visible spot. Its not a problem worth the hassle of a return, but I’m hoping to use it for as long as possible and I would have appreciated it more if it had arrived in the best condition.

I love that I can program the coffee pot and have coffee ready in the morning or I can make just a cup throughout the day with grounds or pods

It makes coffee! I don't have any complaints. It might help to pour boiling water through it dry so it doesn't cool the water down when you start to pour over your coffee.

I purchased one if these for my household and one for my in laws. Ours is still working fine, in laws didn't make it past 2 cups. I think I will be looking to another brand to get for in laws and back up for when ours inevitably dies :( - the picture us the amount that came out from 1 1/2 cups water through the in laws product

How would you like to clean this up before coffee! Horrible mess

Was very excited about this product. Received as Xmas gift from wife and just today received my first bag of Vietnamese Robusta green coffee beans. Did a first roast of medium 60g then a dark 70g and did another medium at 70g. The dark beans were very consistent in color and the medium beans were mixed. Started to clean the machine with the included brush and noticed the lid had melted. Very sad. This was my very first roast haven’t even tried the beans yet. Hoping I can find a replacement lid.
