I first want to start with the cons because the price is one of them, which is an important factor. I only have two cons and one of the is a bit nitpicky...so the first thing I noticed upon turning the machine on and running it is the beeps are quite loud. I'd rather not be "yelled" at by my coffee maker in my groggy wee hours. The second and most important con is the price. It is expensive. Even with the numerous size options and brewing styles the price tag just doesn't match up for me. With that being said the Braun MultiServe Plus Drip Coffee Maker is a good addition to the coffee lovers home. It is simple in the best way. From unboxing, and brewing, to cleanup, this machine is easy to use. My husband and I both enjoy different coffee styles depending on the day and season. And we still get to brew a whole pot when we have guests. This is an all-in-one machine for us. Aside from the functionality, this Braun coffee maker is beautiful. The stainless steel matches the other appliances in our kitchen nicely. One of my favorite things about this coffee maker is that it comes with a replaceable filter that fits into the water tank. I am a stickler for clean water so this is a huge bonus for me. The filter also helps deter mineral buildup. Aside from the price and noisy beeps, the Braun MultiServe Plus Drip Coffee Maker is a win.
As the title describes, we received the Enthusiast but not the same one pictured. It worked fine but the carafe doesn’t seal after brewing, so the coffee doesn’t stay hot by the time we get around to our second cup. We tried playing with it but couldn’t figure it out. There are no instructions other than how to brew the coffee. Returning item because the price is too much for something so simply flawed. As another review stated, this item is even listed on the Bonavita website anymore
I love this design! In the past, we have used Keurig & Hamilton Beach products. We are replacing coffee makers every 2 years. This design is more simplistic & brews a hot cup of coffee. You can actually see the steam. It’s very easy to use & I love that you can use fresh coffee grounds or a Kcup. This makes me want to buy the whole line of products for the kitchen.😆
This coffee maker leaks coffee everywhere because KitchenAid engineers chose a fancy, but less reliable design for the spigot. Instead of opting for a fool-proof, tried and true pull lever or push button design, they opted for a turn style spigot which drips and leaks everywhere, everytime. It leaked brand new out of the box! When I contacted KitchenAid support asked me if I cleaned it and put it back together repeatedly. All I did was gently rinse it out with a mild soap and warm water--as you should do with any new product you want to use in your kitchen! I ended up wasting over an hour of my time waiting for a rep, arguing with them and then waiting for them to put in an order for a part that would not solve the problem. KitchenAid support refused to send me a new spigot and instead made me wait for a useless, back ordered rubber seal, which did not solve the problem. By the time it came, my warranty period was expired and they had the gall to send me a bill for extended warranty support for $69.95--while my coffee maker still leaked after their refusal to properly fix it. Please reference the attached photo to see for yourself that this coffee maker will leak all over your fridge and counter if you buy one! >:-[ Don't buy this product unless you want to start your morning with coffee all over your fridge or kitchen floor. Don't take my word for it, check out the other reviewers who's uploaded photos of the same problem.
Coffee. What's not to love about it? When you made it poorly, that's what's not to love about it. All the effort to get you good coffee beans is worth the effort to make it well, and I love to make it well for other people. The equipment needed to make it consistently and a process to make it are required. I think this Nupant maker works consistently. I tested it with light roast and dark with specific grinds for drip coffee makers. I still haven't perfected using this maker because I'm a total coffee nerd; I need to continue to dial this maker in. The results are promising; the water temperature and extraction were reasonably consistent, especially for making much coffee quickly. I like the LCD controls; they are easy to follow, and the hook-up for the direct water feed is easy enough to attach; you'll need a prefilter if you use them before the connection. The build quality is solid, and the design is attractive. The glass carafes are OK. I wouldn't say I like keeping coffee on burners for long in glass carafes, but that should be fine if you are churning through much coffee. Cleaning was on par with other commercial machines.
I love that this press doesn't have any plastic, however the mesh screen is a big issue. One, it arrived bent up and there was no fixing it. The other issue is the screen is super flimsy and doesn't fit well, so the coffee grinds easily float up as you are plunging the screen down. Until this gets resolved, I wouldn't waste time or money on this.
I like this gadget. You can make hot water, hot coffee, ice coffee, blended ice anything, and also use the blender for food stuff. It looks sleek on the counter, and is slim so it doesnt take a lot of space. Use distilled water only, buy a gallon and it will last a long time. The only issue I am having right now is FOAM. It is making a massive amount of FOAMED coffee. I cant figure out if its the ingredients or the machine. I havent had any issues with it making a mess or it "jumping" around on the counter I read in some other reviews.
I'm not going to give this coffee maker some rave review because for the moment it works. I previously purchased a Hakol off coffeemakers.us.com the same exact coffee maker. It died in a few months and the fine print 30 day warranty. Ordered a Bella it arrived broken. Now I have this coffee maker brewing it's fourth or fifth cup. PS the low wattage works with my solar battery.
Arrived shattered for a birthday gift. :(
It was delicious while it lasted. It popped from the bottom last night. My whole kitchen was a disaster. I had the glass cup in my hand and glass flew everywhere. My hands felt like like glass pieces were stuck in them and burned under water. I recommend to be careful when handling this product. Inspect it before utilizing it. I’m assuming i received a faulty keg. That would explain the little coffee puddles I would find thinking it was leaking from the spout and not the bottom.
I believe is a good and niece product, but poorly packaged, it came in pieces, the only saved piece is the filter.
LOVE my new French press! I've been running my coffee shop for 11 years now and I'm only home 1 morning a week to enjoy coffee at home. I've been using the same French press for a few years now (I didnt really like it but only use it once a week so didn't care to get a different one). It finally cracked and YAY I'M SO HAPPY IT DID! Did some research and decided to try out this French press by gator. AMAZING customer service by the way, truly so helpful and fun add one. I ordered the pink color which looks more like a dusty rose online. It is PINK which I prefer anyway. It's smooth and sturdy, materials are not cheap and it's not made cheaply either, you can tell by all the smooth seams and flawless design. The actual plunger is high end as well, strong and durable unlike my old OXO press. I am super happy with my purchase and recommend to anyone who French presses their morning coffee!
Oh my!! I wished I gave my old coffee pot up months or even YEARS sooner!! Love having the option of a extra brew strength to just the way I love it! We also purchased the gold coffee filter to go with it and have been VERY satisfied after owning this for the last 2 months without any problems. And we actually enjoy the part when it beeps at you to let you know its turning off!
The item was shipped in a damaged box that had a shipping label previously on it. The item was meticulously repacked but was clearly used with some debris in it and some scuff marks showing use. Absolutely unsanitary to send a used product in an also unsanitary box.
I have about 25-30 roasts through this and so far it's been perfect. I'm very careful with it as it's obviously glass, and the only complaint I have is that the coffee chaff someone leaks out of the ends on occasion, but it's usually not enough to worry about. Other than that, and the awkward thermometer mounting, it's been yielding excellent results and I plan to buy another soon. I wish I would've gotten it cheaper at the current price vs what I paid when I got mine. Pair this with a proper camp stove and roast in a controlled environment, and it does amazing.
