This is a replacement gift for my son. He had a 6 cup one that he absolutely loved until he knocked it over and broke it. I replaced it for him because he loves making coffee in this pot! He uses it daily.
I got this for a Vine product review because I make espresso daily using a stove top carafe and thought this would be much more expedient and better. I was wrong. PROS * well made machine * good for taking with you * easy to charge CONS and I'd have given this 2.5 stars if I could * super pain in the butt to use * makes way less than my stove top carafe and I have a tiny one * coffee barely hot...I mean barely, it's marginally warmer than room temperature * even if you fill the water section it does not brew the entire water inside you have to keep on repressing to brew * way over priced for something that does not make piping hot espresso and takes forever to actually make your warm coffee Would not recommend. You're better off buying one you use on the stove and putting it in a thermos to go....and still have money left over!
My wife and I drink a lot of coffee so we ended up with 4 different K-Cup coffee makers. I have posted a comparison review of the 4 on both the Mr. Coffee SC100 and the Proctor Silex 49969 coffeemakers.us.com product pages. Rather than repeat the same review here, which you can access by looking at those pages, I'll just make a few statements on the Kuerig K10 here. Price $77.87 Weight 8# Cord length 36" Dimensions 11"h X 8"w X 11"d Avg rating 4.1 stars (778 reviews) We bought this unit over a year ago to use in our guest room. It hasn't had any hiccups, has been completely dependable, and is very easy to use. One of the main things I pointed out when comparing the taste generated by these 4 coffee makers tested was that they all made coffee that tasted virtually the same. This is not a surprise since each machine simply directs hot water through the same brand of K-Cup. At 8.8# this model is the second heaviest of the 4 units and the height when the top is open extends from 11" to 13". This was the second largest of the 4 units I tested and the 36" cord allows quite a bit of flexibility as far as where to place it. This machine only holds enough water to make one cup at a time and no clean-up is necessary. However, be careful to only put in the amount of water that will fit in your coffee cup. This machine will heat and process all of the water in the tank and overfilling the reservoir will result in a hot coffee mess for you to clean up. This is a well-built unit and is easy to use, but the old Kuerig K40 at around $80.00 provides more flexibility as far as features and has been dependable for us over the past 4-5 years. This unit is pictured below as the second unit from your right.
great buy and good quality materials…..one great feature is lid turns to lock and has a pour button feature
I’ve only hand washed to maintain shape and integrity
I purchased this Cuisinart coffee maker because I've had two of them before and they were great. The thing I like the best is that the carafe is aluminum and insulated to keep your coffee hot and fresh for several hours. I had never purchased an open box product before, so I gave it a try. I could see no flaws in the entire product. And it works perfectly! Aside from that, Cuisinart a products have always been great. This coffee maker makes delicious coffee, and I think the cone filter is what makes the difference in the taste. So many other coffee makers are using the basket filters. I don't believe they make the best tasting drip coffee. I also like the fact that you can set a timer in the evening and your coffee will be made for you when you wake up! I would recommend heating up the carafe during the winter so the coffee stays warmer in the carafe. I would not hesitate to buy an open box product again, especially anything made by Cuisinart!
Love the color and programable feature.
Fits all cups and mugs, stable, built in handle, single hole allows perfect drip rate! Easy to wash and store away, although it’s always in use as I love my coffee! Definitely a good purchase!!!
I just made my first pot of coffee and I’m please to report that it was wonderful. I used filtered water and love the stainless filter. It was so easy and it’s the perfect size because in my old electric coffee pot I was always throwing out leftover coffee. The taste was absolutely amazing and you will really enjoy using it. Love the shape and size plus the handle is perfect.
EDIT: (1 star → 4 stars) Braun warrantied the defective coffee maker and the new one works much better. The coffee drip hole and drip stop mechanism have been redesigned and work as intended. I have owned this coffee maker for 7 months before writing this review. The coffee spilling all over my counter on an increasing cadence has prompted me to share my experience and warn people before they spend $200. The good: - Coffee tastes great - Easy to set volume of coffee/hot water - The reservoir is well designed and very easy to use - I like that the reservoir has a built in filter The annoying: - Water collects in the handle of the carafe during cleaning and drips onto table - Hot water tastes terrible, to me it tastes like plastic, to my SO it tastes/smells like bleach. I ran plenty of water through the hot water mode to try and clear out the taste, I also tried vinegar/water mix with no improvement. - The drip stop does not work well at all. - The hot plate at the bottom has started to corrode (see image). This is likely due to the poor functioning drip stop. - The hot water temp shown on the screen is before it leaves the spout, this means that the water has time to cool (≈30°F in my case) before it hits your cup. The unacceptable: - Coffee wicks across the basket drip hole and completely misses the carafe or cup. this results in coffee spilling all over the place. See the attached videos demonstrating this design flaw. Also note the image of the coffee filter in the correct position while this failure occurs. I have tried drying, cleaning, adjusting the drip stop to solve this issue, none of which have been successful. This issue has completely ruined my confidence in this coffee maker, I have to watch it every time I make coffee so I can stop it when this failure occurs. The first time this happened was 5 months after I bought the coffee maker so I was unable to return it, hopefully Braun CS will help us out, but in the meantime please be cautious of the reliability of this coffee maker.
I definitely did not opt to buy a used coffee maker. This was clearly used before. There are coffee splats everywhere.
First time I used it and it broke as I was gently stirring in sugar to iced tea that I brewed in it. The glass was room temperature and I was using a plastic spoon, so not sure what would cause it to break other than it being poor quality glass.
First off, this coffee maker brews acceptable coffee. But it has a design flaw that exposes any user to steam burns. Please see my image of the steam billowing out the front of the coffee maker. Explanation: There are three large and three small vent holes at the front of the lid of this coffee maker. When the maker has finished "dripping" the water from its tank onto the grounds, a significant amount of steam then issues from the "drip head". Of course the drip head is attached to the bottom surface of the lid of the coffee maker. All of this steam exits out the vent holes in the front of the lid. If one decides to remove the carafe from the coffee maker at this point, one's immediate reaction is to hold the top of the coffee maker to make sure you don't just drag the whole coffee maker forward. This is when you BURN your fingers. I hasten to add that the steam is NOT any where near as visible as this picture makes it look. I used a flash to highlight it. This poorly visible steam problem is made worse by the fact that the bottom of the coffee maker has four small hard plastic feet molded into the bottom. These feet provide NO resistance on a counter surface. The maker just slides around, forcing you to hold the top coffee maker to remove the carafe. coffeemakers.us.com should ban this coffee maker.
This pitcher works well for a variety of drinks. I used the infuser/mesh basket with fruit and it did a nice job of flavoring the water while keeping the seeds/fruit particles out of the water. This also worked well when making cold brew coffee. The mesh basket seemed to work better than a fabric one I’ve used before. I haven’t tried this with tea yet but that’s next. The glass jar is nice as it is dishwasher safe and won’t absorb flavors or discolor from the fruit, coffee or tea. Since the top/handle is plastic, it does have some give, especially when the pitcher is full. Mostly the Handle Part will flex with pitcher is full
The shipping box doesn’t have a dent or scratch on it. Opened box and the coffee maker box is trashed. You can’t tell be the packer did not see that. Opened & coffee maker & is damaged as well. Sent back for exchange , 🤞that it will be in perfect condition when I get the new. See photos.
