  • It works great, if you read instructions on how to put it together and to use it. I watched some apps on how to use a coffee percolator as well. Great flavor too.

  • We purchased the coffee maker August, 2023. The carafe burner turns off as soon as coffee is made. The recommended instructions are to fill the carafe with hot water and let sit for 2 minutes before starting the brew. We have tried this every time. However, the problem is the brew water never gets hot. Even the first cup of coffee is cold. We contacted Hamilton Beach by phone with only a phone message to contact Hamilton Beach by email. We sent a email several days ago and received only an automated reply. Not sure if a real person will contact us or if we will be donating this coffee maker. There is a one year limited warranty.

I’m hooked. I started buying fresh roasted beans a little over a year ago. I hated how a regular coffee maker seemed to waste the quality of my expensive beans. Then I started using a manual pour over method, which yielded great results. A birthday in the house came around and I used it as an excuse to spring for this Moccamaster. The flavor of the coffee that comes out of this machine is wonderful. It’s so cool to be able to tell the subtle differences in the beans. I was torn between this one and the Breville precision brew. I decided to go with this one because of the simplicity. It’s pretty hard to screw up coffee with a Moccamaster. So, no matter who is using it I know I’m in for a delicious cup when I wake up. The final thing worth mentioning is the speed. It takes about 7 min to brew a full pot. Coming from some one who used a Keurig for years, this is a great feature. By the time I’ve got my cup warmed up and done a few toe touches, coffee is ready. Only problem now is how wired I am from drinking all this great coffee.

Well, it is better than sub $40 coffee maker, that is certain, but it doesn't make "delicious" coffee. Coffees I had with a Ninja coffee maker tasted better, with the exact same set up. It is prettier to look at, it is easier to use, and the coffee does taste okay, under one condition thou; You need to turn off the heating pad immediately after finishing brewing. Otherwise the heating will "cook" the coffee, and it will start to taste bitter real fast.

  • I was barely clinging on to life. I was on my last breath. I could barely crawl to the front door to drag this box back to the kitchen. The light reflected so brightly. Blinding me with science. It was almost a fairy tail. One scoop of magic. One dash of love. A bottle of potion. And the beauty that comes from within... And it provides THE BEST COFFEE ON THIS PLANET. (Excluding of course, my grandmother 's who will be reading this) Easy to prepare Easy to clean Easy to fall in love with You've seen other french press before... But you've never seen anything like this before. **Warning: when you take your first sip, hold onto your socks. They will be blown off. The coffee made within changes everything in life. Even cleaning the litter box afterwards was beautiful. I got two speeding tickets that day they were absolutely amazing.. all because the morning started with an amazing cup of coffee. Just don't tell my grandmother.

I love my Nepresso by Delonghi. I have cut the cost of buying my coffee from coffee shops. It will pay for itself.

  • I was able to pour a little more than half a cup of ground coffee into the strainer and filled it up with water to match where the coffee marked so it could soak properly. I like the thicker glass and the easy lid & pourer. UPDATE: so I had this for about 1.5 years WITHOUT ANY ISSUE before it cracked. It was TOTALLY MY FAULT, as i wasn’t looking when placing it on the counter it collided with an ikea glass bottle that I didn’t realize was there. It cracked the handle base at the top. I enjoyed it while I had it, and would leave the coffee brewing sitting up to 48hrs before removing the strainer; and washed with cold warm water. Didn’t notice any leaks when pouring either. Only thing was that the brush provided to wash the strainer wasn’t strong enough to clean the bottom stain where the coffee would sit. It still cleans well, I just wanted it to be completely stain free but i did have it over a year with weekly use. I’m determined to purchase again soon, just unsure if I wanted to try something new or not.

  • This product is poorly designed. The kettle where the water is heated is not designed to be cleaned. This would not be a problem if water was the only thing that would be in it but this is where the coffee is dispensed from. There are just two small holes in the kettle, too small for even a bottle brush. They could have designed it so you could unscrew the top of the kettle but that would probably have increased the cost of manufacturing significantly so they went with a cheaper option. Without being able to clean the kettle repeated use will allow for coffee residue to buildup and start to affect the taste of the coffee. I like the idea of this product but this is just a poor design.

This is the best coffee maker! Best of both worlds with brewed pot and pod coffee. We love Nespresso pods and I like the option of brewing a whole pot of coffee in the morning. I love all of the settings, from a tiny espresso to a full glass of iced coffee to a full pot of coffee that I sip all morning long. I love the look. It is Very easy to use and I use the frother to mix in my protein powder in my coffee, each morning. I also used it to whip up a little heavy cream and sugar for barista style coffee goodness. It did thicken it and mix, but no stiff peaks, more of a poorable thick goodness. The frother does not heat up. The coffee is very hot. Tastes awesome! It’s just perfect. Good quality. We’ve been using it daily for last 3 months. Get it! You will love it too!

After using this single-serve coffee maker several times, I’m impressed with its performance. It rivals well-known brands with its functionality and user-friendly features. The streamlined design fits nicely on my counter without taking up too much space. Design-wise it is sleek and modern, without a lot of fussy details. The touchscreen is simple to use and very clear. (Note: I underestimated the ounces that would fit in one of my mugs and had a little overflow, so you might want to test to make sure you select the right number of ounces to brew!) I appreciate that it comes with both a pod holder and a filter for loose grounds, making it versatile and easy to clean. The 40-ounce water tank is perfect for my occasional single cup of coffee, eliminating the need to brew a full pot. It brews a cup in about 2 minutes and 21 seconds, and the coffee comes out nice and hot. However, there are a couple of minor drawbacks to mention. The coffee maker's box and materials lacked any branding, which could be confusing for some. Additionally, there is a slight splashing during the brew cycle, and unfortunately, a 16-ounce travel mug doesn't fit in the opening. Overall, it’s a solid choice for anyone looking for a reliable single-serve coffee maker with a compact design. UPDATE: A few times now I have selected ounces based on the size of the mug I am using and had overflows. At first, I thought this was me underestimating the volume or choosing the wrong size mug, but I now know that the machine is inconsistent in the ounces dispensed. Just today I selected 8 oz, had a mug plenty big enough to accommodate, but it dispensed about 12-14 ounces (I poured the coffee into a measuring cup to check). This does not happen *every* time, but it has happened. So my advice is to choose a very large mug and/or a smaller number of ounces to avoid a mess.

  • This petite coffeemaker has turned out to be the perfect morning remedy for our daughter in her tiny college dormitory. With kitchen counter space at a premium, she has been looking for a source for morning java that doesn’t take up a large counter footprint. We weren’t familiar with the Mecity brand but with the listed features, compact size and sleek basic black appearance, we figured it was worth a try. As an added benefit, it matched the black, white and silver kitchen décor in my daughter’s dorm. The appliance works with both K-cups and ground coffee which makes it very versatile for college kids who like to try specialty brands and boutique flavors. It’s also a very efficient hot water dispenser for teas. All reports from the dorm confirm that the coffees and teas have been full flavored and delicious. At only 11 inches tall, less than 10 inches deep and less than 5 inches wide, this can fit snugly on just about any size kitchen countertop or even on a desk top if you want to have a cuppa on hand when you’re working or studying. Operation is a one-touch breeze using nothing more than the front button and either inserting a K-cup or grounds. The unit features 2-minute brewing which is great for those early mornings when you need a quick pick me up punch of caffeine. It has easy to follow instructions so you’re downing your coffee or tea in no time flat. It’s easy clean up, too, especially when you are using coffee grounds because the Mecity grounds holder uses an inner shell to hold the grounds in place within the outer capsule – nothing goes splashing around and all the used grounds stay in the shell instead of staining the inside of the brewing chamber. Every automatic coffee maker gets funky after awhile so you’ll have to clean it out. You can easily descale simply by pressing and then holding the power button for three seconds. The machine will automatically descale until the process is complete or until it runs out of water. You should repeat this process at least three times to make sure the system is clean and then you won’t have any aftertaste or lingering odors. Speaking of running out of water, the one minor defect of the machine is that the water well only holds 12 ounces of it. Of course, the small size of the unit pretty much dictates this, so I’d suggest – as my daughter does – to keep a water bottle full and handy for quick refills on those days when two or three cups just don’t wake you up. Overall, my daughter and her roommate report that the machine is a neat little no frills coffee maker. It’s a few steps up from the nicer hotel models but nothing really fancy. It’s functional and flavorful.

I love this little coffee maker. I wanted a small personal one so it’s perfect. Also my fave color!! The only annoying thing is that it’s basically impossible not to spill water or coffee when using the carafe. Every single time its full, liquid spills out onto the counter. A minor design flaw. I guess you get what you pay for. Overall very happy.
