I have been looking to get a French press for a while and finally jumped into it! I'm so glad I did and chose this one. It's double walled which I hadn't seen in my other choices. The glass is borosci......which I love and prefer. It seems like a very durable glass too. Super easy to clean which is nice because I prefer to hand clean items like this that get heated constantly. Love the stainless steel top and the design in general. Most other ones are cylinder and a boring handle. I like having this sit out actually. Very pretty and makes a very good cup of coffee! Also I prefer cold brew (very high strength too I'm a coffeeholic with a toddler to boot) and this makes it SOOOO much easier that making in a mason jar with the small strainer i was using. Mama happy. Definitely try this one out!!
Cant even use this since no power cord was included😳.
From a functional perspective having the convenience to be able to use both K-cups and the original Nespresso caps is very nice. However, certain Nespresso capsules did not play nicely and would stick or not function effectively leaving behind a mess to clean up. Fortunately I learned early which brand were the main offenders and adjusted my purchasing accordingly. The big downside with this model is the lack of durability and as experienced by other users the case began to crack after a year of use. See images. As such I cannot recommend this model until improvements are made to eliminate this defect.
Update: Deleted a star as roughly 6 months after I started using the glass cracked at roughly the top of the red band (complete circle around the jar. The pot was not dropped or hit or banged. I went to remove the cap to remove the coffe grounds and it came up with roughly the first inch of glass attached to the lid. (See photos attached) Although I did get 6 months worth of use out of the pot, it should not break without being dropped or banged or doing something to cause damage to the glass. I would have given this 5 stars but having no directions in English subtracted a point. Granted I did go online to their website where they have multi-lingual directions but it was just an extra step. And although their Ikea style cartoon hieroglyphs did a decent job of explaining the basics, it was pretty awful when it came to explaining care of the rather fragile pot. This company has a UK and a JP site ..so I would assume everything has been translated to English at some point for the UK site and clearly.. it is available, just not included. Despite that, this makes a most wonderful cup of coffee. I tried the French press (hot water), but all the caffeine would give me jitters. This product also mentioned that it would create a higher caffeinated product. My solution has been to brew the coffee for 24 hours...and use it as a concentrate. I now heat hot water in the microwave for 2 minutes with my coffee cup 1/2 to 2/3 full of plain water. To this I add my refrigerated coffee concentrate and I am absolutely amazed at how wonderful this coffee tastes. (Same coffee I have been using with my drip coffee maker, ground a bit courser). I have to say this is Nirvana for coffee. Not bitter. Smooth. Almost creamy tasting (without any sugar or cream added). I am still working ratios and grinds, but it is already amazing. Granted adding the cold brew to hot water seems silly, but it is pretty chilly in December and cold or iced coffee doesn't seem appealing. It definitely did not ruin the taste. I am assuming with cold coffee, I would add the concentrate to refrigerated water and for iced coffee, I'd pour it over a cup of ice. I am aware that if I don't have enough water my half cup of coffee (I drink from a 16oz cup) does provide more caffeine than my former 16 oz of hot brew drip coffee. So if you aren't a caffeine junky, be sure to dilute. Speaking of that I have done drip coffee and cold coffee from my local baristas and wasn't overly impressed. It did taste different but some had too much caffeine or the taste just didn't really jump out enough to make it worthwhile. Adding water and creating my own perfect cup makes a HUGE difference. The simplicity and casualness of the pot are adequate. I do have a few concerns about this pot, the glass seems rather fragile (and based on others reviews it does appear to break easily). However, the plastic handle and filter seem to have lasted through the first brew. Although the directions say dishwasher safe, it seems the plastic may not be as dishwasher safe as the product claims. If this pot breaks, I will probably try one of the mason jar cold coffee kits as the glass is thicker and sturdier. Clearly not as "attractive" or elegant but perhaps more functional for the long term, but the low price of this tiny coffee brewer made it worth the risk to try my hand at this brewing method.
We had a Bunn coffee maker before this one because we were over Keurig. It makes hot coffee quickly, but it always tasted burnt. I wanted to get something that kept the ease but made better coffee and maybe could also make espresso/Nespresso. We got it and setup was super easy. Fits really nicely on the counter, though you do have to reach back for the reservoir. Makes coffee quickly, not too loud. I do like the "drip close" feature, which avoids messes. However, the coffee was still very bitter and tasted burnt. I don't think I'm ruined from Keurig to only like weak coffee - I still love a good espresso! So I tried a brand new bag of coffee - same problem. I tried the Nespresso, and not much better (bought Illy pods, so expected a strong flavor, but should be smoother). I also noticed the coffee on both sides was super hot. I read some pro reviews online and found that Ninja sets their machines to brew at probably too high a temperature, and that's probably what I think is happening. If you're going to doctor your coffee anyway, this machine has a lot going for it. But it's not for me.
I haunted the Moccamaster site and then read just about every review here on coffeemakers.us.com (and elsewhere). I posted several questions here before I committed to spending the most amount I could ever have imagined a coffee brewer could cost. I'd loved my classic Braun simple brewer, the one that's no longer made that is in the Museum of Modern Art collection. The first thing that drew me to this, I'll admit it, was its breathtaking design. So minimal, no clocks, no apps, no several anything else going on. Pure, refined elegance and now that I happily have it, maybe an amazing chemical/scientific process. The water goes down into the silver module where a copper something (I know, I know, there's a proper word, other brilliant reviews detail the process) that heats the water to the golden cuppa temperature up close to 205 degrees while you quickly hear a gentle gurgle as the heated water is forced up before delicately showering the coffee grounds and then descending miraculously (ok, probably not miraculous) down the center of the coffee pot, quickly filling it with take-your-breath-away perfect coffee. Really it does what it promises, a full pot in five minutes, maybe less. I haven't had a single drip gone awry as I pour into my cup, admiring the heat and fragrance that is a secondary gift. I used Peets Extra Dark French, smoky and rich, and it's better than in a Peet's own shop. It's so easy to rinse the parts by hand (this might cost more than some dishwashers, it gets gently handled here!!). The cord is thick and black, on the side, not easily tucked out of sight. I finally was able to negotiate it to be behind the coffee pot. It's rather impressive in its heft, not like most electric cords that are thin and fragile, destined to tucker out. This is a forever coffee machine that will make you toss out those little pods and regret ever indulging in that kind of process. This is pure heavenly coffee, brewed at perfect temperatures which in turn provides the fabled golden cuppa joe. There are so many reasons to say it's crazy to spend this much but this is a heritage product, five year guarantee and I can tell from the questions I posted before I bought this that Moccamaster is very attentive to its customers. I wish that I had this my whole life. I just didn't know better! From my questions, this is the easiest one, auto drip stop stuff, and honestly, aesthetically, the better balanced look of the glass carafes. It's some kind of beauty, isn't it.
This coffee machine is my all time favorite ♥️♥️♥️ It gets its own attention, all my guest and family member says how nice or how cute it is 😊 the water tank can hold over 30oz of water which saves some time. I love I can use pods and it comes with a little filter allowing me to use ground coffee as well =) you can make either 8oz, 10oz, or a 12oz cup of joe depending on how much you want or need. It’s very easy to clean and maintain, and it makes a very delicious cup of Coffee ☕️ I HIGHLY RECOMMEND and know this would be a great gift 🎁 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The seller is very bad, he sold me a coffee machine that does not work and is broken and it was dismantled before to try to repair it. I do not recommend dealing with this seller, he does not have any credibility
I am very satisfied and super happy with my Nespresso Vertuo. The only thing that I did not like was that I received it with dents on the front and side of the pods container. 😞Graphite metal is a nice color! The shape, for me, is better than the nespresso vertuo by breville. I love the smell, taste, and texture of the espresso/coffee. Feels like in a coffee shop. ♥️ The water tank has great capacity and it’s lid can easily be opened so you could refill it either directly with the container attached to the machine or by detaching it. The machine is fast and easy to use. The size is okay. The espresso/coffee’s temperature is not that hot just like what others said on their reviews. I tried other’s suggestion to pre-heat the glass. I actually wanted to buy the Evoluo bec it has the same specs with the vertuo except that the Evoluo has the “improved” temperature, however, I could not find a discounted price. Buuuut no regrets!!! The Nespresso Vertuo by De Longhi is pretty and it makes a great coffee/espresso. I still need to figure out what’s wrong with my aeroccino3 milk frother bec 2 out of 3 times that I used it since I received it the other day, the milk overflowed. I used a good milk with less than the maximum level and with correct tools. It produced a nice froth tho. Overall, the Nespresso Vertuo by De Longhi is a great buy! Highly recommended.
Only a week in and it leaks when I pore. Very disappointed.
We’ve been so pleased with this machine. I like the ability to brew with a Kcup, whole beans, or grounds. The grinder is noisy but not any noisier than any other grinder that I’ve used. I love that it is easy to clean and easy to use.
We loved this coffee maker! It is very user-friendly and quick. Easy to assemble, light weight and quiet. We appreciated how fast water boiled. It makes having coffee such a breeze. My wife loves tea, so having the 3-in-1 setting is a win-win situation. Highly recommend!
This coffee maker can brew using type 1.0 and type 2.0 K-pods. It takes about two minutes to heat up – but then it brews the coffee quickly. This does not have a separate water tank, so you have to add the water for each cup – up to 12 ounces at a time. But, IMO, that is a plus since you use fresh water each time vs. using water that might have been sitting in a tank. It is very simple to use – add water into the machine, insert the coffee pod, close the cover, and then press the brew button. The machine turns off automatically once it is finished brewing. It would be great for a dorm room, smaller apartment or for RV use.
I am loving the look, feel and build of the new Technivorm KM5 Burr Grinder. Goes aesthetically well with my Moccamaster coffee maker. This product is heavy duty and I know I will not have any issues. Any part is replaceable and customer service is amazing, I called them to send me extra rubber feet for the bottom and they shipped same day free of charge. Highly Recommended!
It worked great for a little while; easy to use and clean but then the machine go to hot and melted my buttons and now they won’t work 😭
