I would give the Nespresso machine 5 stars.... but the purchase experience was flawed from the beginning. Box was saturated due coffeemakers.us.com driver not taking 4 more steps on a rainy day to set box under my main entrance area that's covered. (Lazy) What was supposed to be a gift wrapped present ended up having to open to inspect for water damages. (It was ok) #2 you will probably receive an expired coupon inside the box of a new coffee machine. I will update this review, maybe the coffee will be good enough to raise this review to 4 stars.

This one cup coffee percolator works very well for me! It is small and lightweight. I can easily put it inside a drawer. It is easy to use. The outside of it does get hot when it completes the brewing cycle. So it comes with an orange silicon/rubber ring, which fits around the outside. Because of the ring, I can hold the percolator and avoid touching the hot surface. There is a maximum water line inside the percolator, so make sure not to overfill water. I usually select the “coffee 02” mode, and it takes about 10 minutes to get a cup of coffee. This is not bad because you will get hot coffee with rich flavor. When the brewing cycle is done, the function display shows “— —". No need to remove the lid. There are two small vents in the lid, and one is slightly bigger than the other. Simply use the slightly bigger vent to pour the coffee directly from the percolator. There are some coffee grounds come with the coffee but it is not a big issue. This product works very well for other purposes, like brewing tea, boiling hot water, or warming milk. Simply select other modes in the function menu.

I've been making pour over coffees for 3 years now. But I've been using one of those washable drippers and making one cup at a time. Honestly, out of the standard ways to make coffee (drip, instant, kcups), I find that pour over coffee is the best for flavor and finish. The coffee never tastes bitter and the finish is clean. You don't have the tart or bitter aftertaste. The HARIO is great at making larger servings of pour over coffee. It comes with all the accessories such as the paper filters, glass carafe, glass dripper, coffee scoop, and an ice chamber to make iced coffee. The glass dripper is well made, it feels thick and won't shatter easily. The carafe feels a bit thin but gets the job done. I thought about whether it would be better if the glass was thicker but that would also lead to more weight. I suggest being a bit more gentle with the carafe. I tested the product with some grounded coffee from Hawaii. The flavor turned out balanced and smooth. I'm very happy with this coffee maker.

The coffee maker was working fine for 3weeks and suddenly the water started leaking and I realized that there was a missing part. Don’t ask me how because I don’t have a clue, I don’t know if it Is inside or where but the thing is that is impossible to open 😡. I’m so pissed!!!

I got rid of my drip coffee maker and opted for a percolator instead. I do quite a bit of camping and will boil coffee in a stovetop percolator pot over a fire and prefer the flavor to drip coffee. It looks good in stainless steel. I don’t believe that any of the internal parts are aluminum. It takes up less space than the drip maker that it replaces. It really doesn’t seem to take any longer to brew a pot. It will stop perking and a blue light illuminates when it’s completed. I’m still adjusting how much and how course my ground beans should be. There is a “max” line on the coffee basket which seems to be the right amount of ground beans for a full pot. I usually prefer buying appliances with a UL rating, but this has an Intertek (ETL) rating so it is still safety tested to standards by Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTL). Oddly, I bought this in 2021, but the date on the bottom says 2005, but it’s not a stainless pot will spoil or decompose. I can’t think of a single complaint, though I’ve had it just a few days.

WOW!!!!!! This product rocks! I chose the Frieling because because it was all stainless steel. It was hard to find a French press without plastic components. Even Sur La Table had plastic and your coffee would of come in contact with it when you poured. This American company has you covered. This was my first time using a French press in my life. Its easy. This product has airtight suction. I went with the 36oz option amd use it every single day. I would buy this product again. Definitely a top notch product. Pricey but worth every penny. I'm very pleased.

  • I was bereft when my old white Krups coffee maker died after over 15 years of use so it seems Krups made this model to replace my old one. Decent looks, simple on/off, #4 filter, perfect hot water temperature and a warmer that keeps the coffee at a perfect temperature for an hour. I was surprised that the coffee this made was better than my own pour over technique since it seems to dribble the water over the grounds slowly as opposed to my flooding the filter too fast. What made this short of 5 starts is how awkward it is to fill the reservoir without splashing water on my countertop. At times the water shut off valve fails when I remove the carafe while the coffee is still dripping, but I've found that folding over the crimped edges of the #4 filter before inserting it makes for a better drip free fit. (This advice is on the Melita box which I've never noticed.) ***** UPDATE !!! ***** I measured the water temperature to the funnel at 192 degrees celsius, 176 degrees in my coffee cup and 30 minutes later the coffee in the carafe is 174. It takes only 4 1/2 minutes to make two 12 ounce cups - before my toast is even ready! I added a star and was very pleased with my "buy used" discount - item arrived new unused with a small dent in the box. Very pleased with my purchase and had to share. ***** 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!! ***** Mine is still going strong! The coffee continues to be hot enough to enjoy two tall cups in one setting. A few more tips I'd like to offer – Pay attention to your coffee scoop size. They're not all the same! Complaints about the taste of your coffee might be remedied by simply putting in slightly less or more coffee grinds with a different size coffee scoop. Dark roasts will need less, light roast might need more. – The forever metal coffee filter included is simply not the way to go because, lets face it, it's not going to be kept perfectly clean over time so you'll be adding oxidized coffee oils to the taste of your brew. – The grind size makes a lot of difference with pourovers because the smaller the grind, the slower the water filters down thru the funnel. The longer the water exposure the more complete soak the coffee gets to extract flavor. Too large a grind might give you a weaker taste so some experimentation might help you find your perfect brew. – 3 years in I've worked out a way to pour water into the reservoir. It's a lab beaker that makes it easy to aim where it goes, but lacking that a simple hack is to take scissors to that disposable plastic water bottle you likely have and make a short funnel that will fit into the reservoir to give you a wider area to aim into.

  • For YEARS we had been waking up early, grinding our own coffee, and doing a pour over. Just to get that strong coffee taste and never trusted coffee makers. UNTIL NOW! Trust me you need this! It’s amazing. We program this every night and fill it with beans/water, in the morning at the designated time it does all the work for us and we wake up to the BEST coffee. You have to play around with the bean to water ratio alittle bit depending on how strong you want it. It comes with a tiny scooper and we do 7 scoops and fill up water to level 7. It’s so easy and has saved us so much time and no more coffee grounds everywhere!

  • This product works great, and has allowed me to really elevate my coffee experience at work. Improves a great for over in a reasonable amount of time and clean up is easy, just rinse everything off. The cup keeps my coffee hot for at least an hour or two. For replacement filters, the Hario V60 01 are identical to the filters supplied with the unit, see my photos. The first photo has each filter side-by-side (Hario on the left) and the second photo is both of the filters stacked up together.

  • This one is a basic coffee pot that brews a good cup of coffee folks. I like it has a auto pause so I can grab that first cup before its done brewing and I don’t have to wait. I found the size good for what I want. It was easy to set up and use. I like the front fill basket. I also like that it can be removed and go in the dish washer for cleaning. It is also easy for me to fill with water at the top front and not the back. The glass cafe fits well in the machine. The machine does not go off automatically you have to turn it off manually after brewing. No auto off, something to think about for rushed people. It has a basic on and off switch in the front. The color blends well with any decor in black and a touch of silver color. It does not have a permanent filter with it. I have to buy filters or look for a permanent filter for it. The other coffee pots that I have purchased before came with a permanent filter or a few paper ones to start you out. They did not provide either. It also makes a nice travel coffee pot for a hotel or motel since the size is not to big. Also a dorm room for college students. I have enclosed pictures so you can make an informed decision based on your own personal needs. Yes, I would recommend this product.

  • Just received this little gem a couple of days ago and I'm really enjoying it! I have used it with coffee, tea, hot chocolate and apple cider pods. It is quick, quite and effective. No bells and whistles as with other pricier units, but it gets the job done with no fuss! Greatly enjoy it!

  • This percolator works great and it doesn't have the defect like the Chinook percolator with the pin falling out. The pin is wedged on both ends so the it will not slide out. I found directions online that tells you how to brew a good cup of coffee. You have to brew the coffee at a low temperature until it starts perking then turn the heat to simmer or close to it. Let it brew for 5-10 minutes but it's a trial and error process for the proper time. Also, the directions recommended that you remove the filter ASAP to prevent the coffee grinds from falling into the coffee. There will be coffee grinds at the bottom but I have no complaints. The percolator does brew 9 cups. I have not had any problem with the glass top but the handle does get hot. The filter was slightly slanted when I received it but I just bent it back upright.

  • I’m Hispanic, so I’m used to using the small expresso stove top coffee maker. That said, I was in the market for a bigger coffee maker because I drink a lot of coffee and I also don’t want to have to make coffee multiple times because my Hispanic expresso machine only makes a small quantity. I also used the drip coffee maker which wasn’t my favorite because I felt that I used too much coffee and it never came out the way I wanted it. I’d also like to add that I’ve been using a Keurig which is convenient but those pods are too expensive for me and I’m concerned with the burned plastic consumption. So I miraculously landed on this wonderful coffee maker. It is exactly what I was looking for. It’s big enough to make enough coffee but the coffee doesn’t taste watery. The taste is so smooth and delicious. I’d say it’s slightly “weaker” in terms of taste from that of the expresso machine but it’s delicious regardless. It’s worth every penny and then some.

I am very happy with this coffee maker, easy to use and makes great smooth coffee. It has taken a few tries to figure out the coffee beans I like best, honestly makes even the pre- ground bags taste great! I bought this because it has a simple design, long warranty and easily replaceable parts. I hope it treats me well!
