I purchased this, primarily, to use when I travel and I "just gotta have" that first taste of coffee after arising before I hit up a local coffee shop. I'm using the Nespresso-size Starbucks espresso roast coffee. Here is my experience and my impression: Very well built. Assuming the electronics and other internal components are built as well, I expect years of service from this espresso maker. The coffee of the espresso was top-notch, with a nice crema. James Hoffman would, I'm sure, disagree as to the quality but it's just fine, and I'm a bit of a coffee snob. The machine came charged, I think, as it only took about 7 minutes, after plugging in, for the red light to turn to green. This was with a USB-A wall plug and I assume it will take longer to charge using the accessory outlet in the car. After making one espresso, I plugged the machine back in and recharge time was about 40 minutes. Brew time is about 5 minutes, using cold water to start. Instructions are a gas to read, so a little bit of ability to problem solve is a good thing when your unit arrives. The instructions are only in English, and pigeon English, at that. So that makes them fun to read. e.g. "Caution: Can't Wash Host Part" means, I think, "don't submerse the unit, wash only the parts that come in contact with the coffee and finished product." There is a pretty good pictorial with images so you can figure out what goes where, depending upon the type of coffee you're using. (K-Cup, Nespresso or loose coffee). Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and not only look forward to taking this on the road but, also, makihng myself a home espresso now when the spirit moves me. I wish it came with a case or, at least, there was the option of purchasing a case that fit. I'll probably make one to help protect it in the event of a fall.

I really like this coffee maker. No matter how strong I make the coffee it never tastes bitter. It’s also super fast. I prefer using paper filters rather than the “permanent” type. I especially like how its narrow profile tucks away against the wall. I found it on sale before Christmas which was a plus. But it’s definitely worth the regular price in my opinion.

Bad design! The edge is too smooth. I find it's hard to apply a firm grasp when locking and unlocking.

This is my first coffee machine and I’m really pleased with it. The first time I used it, I started to get nervous thinking that I got a defective machine, because it turned off in about 5 minutes after start up. But when I checked the cup, it was actually full of coffee. It doesn’t take up much space and the filter is easy to remove & wash.

  • I bought this and even opened it with A LOT OF SKEPTICISM! I’ve bought it after reading every positive and negative review for both THIS product and other single-serve AND regular coffee-makers within $0 - $150 on coffeemakers.us.com. I bought this after my long-time single-serve coffeemaker from KitchenSelectives died on me. That thing was awfully slow. Cleaning it took 10-20 minutes, and making a cup of coffee took 10-25 minutes. So unsustainable for my lifestyle. This product is the one I chose. Just got it today! Impressed so far! Manufacturer’s package: Contents were very professionally designed, placed, and arranged. Coffeemaker sturdiness, appearance: very sturdy, high-quality appearing, just as in the manufacturer’s photos. Cleaning: opened and cleaned the brand-new coffeemaker with surprising ease. The internal pieces are self-supported, so that when you open the top to clean the inside, you can simply take the (permanent) fine filter-basket (and its associated under basket) out, while everything else inside is thoughtfully attached. This makes watching the inside with soap/water easy, because you can turn the coffeemaker on any side or upside-down without stuff falling out and all over the place. My first detailed clean took about 3 minutes and it was very hassle-free. Coffee-making TIME: made 2 cups, back-to-back. My first was just to run hot water + coffee through. This took 3m:38seconds. I rinsed the coffee-maker’s inside again. Made another cup. The second cup took the SAME amount of time. This is insanely fast! So far, I’m very happy and impressed. Haven’t yet used the programmer/pre-timing option. Will update when I do.

So far we are loving our espresso maker. The first thing I did was order Nespresso cups for it. Please note that it only takes the original cups, not the new rounded ones. I also ordered a milk frother for it. Best thing ever. Now I can make espresso drinks that are just as tasty as their coffee shop counterparts for a fraction of the cost. The machine has a small footprint so doesn't take up a lot of counterspace which is nice. I did take a star off for two things. One is the weird electric smell that happens every time you use it. I think it's from the heating element which must get extremely hot because this thing heats up water fast. The second is that you have to put the capsule in before you put a cup under the spout. Otherwise, when you push the handle down to seat the capsule, old espresso will dribble into your cup. That's just yucky. Otherwise I love this machine.

A coworker picked one of these up for the shop we work at… used it for a week before I realized I need this at home. Makes a great cup of iced, or hot coffee, as well as making the best flavored carafe. No more burnt beans, and no more stale cups of coffee

  • Everyone who visits my house compliments the cuteness of this little machine! And I agree, it’s so stinkin’ cute! It is easy to use and functions very well! My coffee is always strong, just how I like it! Only “negative” if you will is that the carafe feels like it gets stuck a little every time you try to remove it from the burner area. But it’s not a big deal. I’d absolutely buy this machine again. Would be perfect for a small Airbnb, bedroom coffee station, etc. since it’s compact.

  • Very satisfied with this coffee machine. From the moment I unboxed it, I could tell it was designed well and aesthetically it is absolutely a winner. The standout feature for me has to be how incredibly easy it is to use. Even on those groggy mornings, making the perfect cup ( or more) is a breeze. It tells you exactly how many scoops you need based on your desired brew strength and cup size – a game-changer for consistent and delicious results. The Guided Brew setting is very helpful, but even if you decide to take your own route, the customization options are amazing. Whether I'm craving a strong, bold brew or a milder cup, this machine delivers. It is very precise so I am looking forward to trying new settings. Even after brewing, my coffee stays at a good temperature, allowing me to enjoy multiple cups throughout the morning and even into the afternoon without having to reheat it. Overall, this coffee machine has completely elevated my coffee experience. It's intuitive, smart, and delivers consistently delicious, hot coffee that stays that way.

I absolutely love this coffee maker! My last Cuisinart coffee maker lasted 7 years. I really liked it also. This one has great added features. The LED screen is large and easily readable very easy to set and program. Easy to change the brew to BOLD, the clean light tyhat lets you know when you need to decalcify, and more. I was worried about going from a 12 cup maker to a 14 cup that it would take up more counter space and be a lot taller. Nope! They were the same height but the carafe is wider. Super happy with this purchase. I hope that cuisinart will make a copper coffee grinder as well. ☕❤

  • I loved my smaller coffee pot by this brand and bought the bigger one so I didn't have to add water for each cup. The coffee pot doesn't even work which is super disappointing. Especially when you already threw the box away and shipping stuff back is so annoying.

This is not a three cup size product it holds about a small cup of coffee from the look of the size.... Very disappointed that I could have purchased a larger bodum French press for less that what this is priced for and even more dissatisfied by the fact it is not returnable because this product is not what I thought it was.

This coffee pot was a gift to my husband… we had the same Bunn for around 15 years and have always been a fan of their always hot instant brew coffee makers. This replacement had been a heap of hot garbage. It overflows nearly every other brew. We use the same grind with the same filters. Sometimes it overflows, sometimes it doesn’t. I wrote to Bunn and they sent a “flow regulator” to slow flow of the water into the filter and it must be the wrong part because it doesn’t fit. It just falls off. As much as I’d like to reach out to Bunn again, any communication requires logging into their website, entering your model number, repeating the issue, waiting several days for a reply. Seems like assigning someone to the issue would be decent customer service. Or are they having so many issues with their products it would be impossible to respond to the customers? Either way, I’m never going to buy another Bunn coffeemaker and I urge you to choose something else.

  • I read the reviews that said the pot leaked, but never in my life did I realize how much. Whoever designed this pot never drank coffee or has ever studied the designs of a coffee pot. I could not stand the constant pour, pour , drip , drip, drip. Today I replaced the pot with a 12-cup Medelco universal replacement carafe and it works beautifully. I would be embarrassed if I was the representative from Keurig and made such a sorry pot. However, their competitors got it right. Thank you Medelco!!!!!!
