I really like this coffee machine. Small but good for me for single use can make for 2 cup coffee . Make great and strong coffee and coffee was hot too. My husband loves coffee while I make from this machine. really happy with this cute and simple machine.
It lasted about 3 months and a host of problems ensued, lukewarm coffee, or no water went thru until the 5th try, perfectly maintenance but poor quality, according to reviews 24-45% of people that buy this give it a 1 star, bought it at Walmart and thinking it was a good quality product I threw away the receipt, incur does not have even a paid repair service. So it just became trash.
Love it so much I bought a backup for its eventual failure, hopefully many years down the road. This thermal pot does a good job of keeping coffee hot if that's a plus for you. For me, the selling point is that it won't break when I eventually drop it as glass pots have done. It brews a full 10-cup pot (which by some strange coffee-logic isn't really 10 cups) in 8-9 minutes. I like the speed, but more, I like that it is easy to set up to brew automatically in the morning (or whenever!) Another plus: I live in Florida where we frequently have second-long blips in power, and I've only had to reset the time on this once when the power was off for a couple hours. My microwave is more sensitive to these fluctuations! I'm no expert on coffee, but I imagine the 3 brew choices are a good option. I set it for the strongest, and think I use less coffee that way. There are 2 negatives. One the blue light is always on and always very bright--but I don't much care since it's in the kitchen, not my bedroom. The second is more of a challenge: This pot is tall, especially with the reservoir door open -- and I think it needs to be open after brewing to dry so as not to get mold or other nastiness. At 19" fully open, it will not slide back under my cupboard (18") where it belongs. I've solved this by propping it partially open after a couple hours with 2 black plastic knives placed perpendicular to each other and sliding it back. They won't show in a photo, so I took a picture with white straws to show the placement.
First off I am a huge fan of probably anything Kenmore makes. This Coffee Pot is no exception! This pot is of high quality design and function. It has a wide mouth pouring spout and a larger handle than most other carafes. It has a beeping trigger that alerts you when coffee is ready and when the heating element shuts off in case you want to turn back on to reheat. The only dislike I have is that the Caution info is printed on the actual pot distracting from the beauty of the pot. I find that to be unnecessary to be posted there which is printed in English and French. I am surprised the designers did that.
It made the perfect cup of coffee. I used a Ridgid 18v 4ah battery with a Makita adapter (because i don't have any 18v Makita batteries). That perfect cup of coffee used half that battery at 4 minutes. Is it something you will set on your kitchen counter and use every day....no, but you could. Will it make a cup of coffee when you don't have power? Camping? On a job site? Yes. Very satisfied with this cordless Makita coffee maker. ***Swapped to a Ridgid 18v 8ah battery and got 4 cups from one charge.
Looks nice and makes a good cup of espresso. I noticed the water holder leaking after a few uses. Hoping it’s just a once off issue but will definitely keep an eye on it. Appreciated the system clean option by pushing the button fast 3 times.
My expectations were low but this expresso machine has blown me away and provides better expression shots than I get at most coffee shops. TSA Travel tested and internationally used. This thing is smaller than a travel coffee mug. Must get for serious coffee drinkers.
The first one arrived on time and never worked. We obtained a replacement directly from the Keurig company. The replacement machine has now stopped working and lasted only 6 months. Do not buy this coffee maker. It does not stand the test of time. Please refer to the picture of this machine in my garbage pail. I would give it 0 stars but that was not an option
We tried a few coffee makers but this one won our hearts. We love the easy set-up programming for a busy morning. The coffee is full of flavor. We love it.
PROS: - Fantastic size 20oz - Quality pot & comfy handle - Easy to clean & dissemble CONS: - Last pic, u can see the small amount of sediment on bottom of mug. I used a flashlight to highlight amount. I rather NOT use a filter paper to eliminate the sediment, that was the whole point of the SS dish filters below. - Coffee taste is ok. Conclusion: Still have to shop for a better SS filter. But, gosh i do love the 20oz size, which most French Press pots don't offer.
No complaints !the coffee taste is FANTASTIc!!!
Pretty simple to use. No difficult parts to clean (dishwasher safe too). Makes good coffee! Nice to not have to use disposable filters. You preferably want a kettle to get boiling water in the top. I've only used it with pre-ground coffee, so YMMV on whether any grounds make it through, but I didn't have any problems so far. Just make sure it's not too finely ground. If I had to complain about anything, the different glass pieces feel like they fit together a little loosely, but not a big deal. They seem to be able to handle hot water okay. Cost might be a little high at $100, but otherwise seems like a good quality product.
This coffee maker is NOT NEW – it obviously has been used and returned – there are water spots, stains, greasy fingerprints inside and out. It was advertised as new (not refurbished) so I am returning it and will try once more to get a new Bonavita 5-cup coffee maker.
When using Nespresso Capsules, all you get is a light brown water. Even with the tightest setting, it is more like a light drip coffee, not espresso. Not compatible with the capsules as the description says. It does however work great with espresso grinded coffee and it produces a rich crema. It is just a bit messy and not as convenient as I thought. Also if you are on the run and want it to heat up room temperature water for a hot cup of coffee, it sucks and drains a full battery to half the charge on the first extraction. Got it as Christmas gift. Returning it. Now looking for something more solid and consistent from Nespresso company itself.
