Conserva mi café caliente por mucho tiempo y es muy práctica.
Bought this to heat water for cocoa for my Highschool students and coffee for meetings. Usually groups are about 30 people so I wanted only one pot to heat for efficiency sake. It looked small so we checked to see how much water it held. It actually only holds 20 cups of water to its fill line. If you put 30 in as advertised, it goes to the brim and that’s without even having the filter or the weight of coffee in there plus you wouldn’t be able move it without spilling and it wouldn’t have room to boil. It leaks from the handles if you do fill it over the “30 cup” line. If I made only 20 cups then I’d have to have multiple urns and that’s what I was trying to avoid in the first place. Thank goodness we checked before using it. The last thing I need is the possibility of a burn or fire in our library. Terrible product. I’d remove it from coffeemakers.us.com before someone gets hurt.
Bought this to replace a prior version of this - also a Cuisinart 14 cup. Works well, but the heater plate is very poor quality. The paint flaked off and it's all rusty. And it's not yet 5 months old. I just got off the phone with Cuisinart customer support. They will replace the unit, but I have to pay for shipping ($10) and will also have to pay to send back the power cord from the defective one. That'll probably cost me $5 or so... So their defective product will cost me $15 to replace. And if this one fails in another 5 months?? Here's an update, Jan 23, 2018 . I got the replacement. Identical except for the buttons. I had to cut off the cord and ship the cord back to Cuisinart. I have attached a pic of the brand new one after one pot of coffee - nice and shiny. Also attached a pic of the only five month old warming plate - a disgusting rusty mess. Three year warranty. I have until mid-August 2020. If this replacement looks as bad as this at some time in the future, I'll order up another one. All they had to do was use a better coating than whatever weak paint they used on this. Dumb, dumb, dumb. UPDATE December 2018: So my first one went only a couple months before the warming plate was an ugly rusting mess. The replacement lasted longer. It's almost a year now. It's not nearly as bad as the rusty photo above, but it's accelerating now that it started to rust. I'm guessing that this one will take 18 months to look as cr@__y as the first one did after 3 or 4 months. But still inexcusable that it should end up looking like this. That plate is a very simple metal plate. I would very highly suggest that Cuisinart start using stainless steel. Forget the paint. UPDATE April 2019: I took apart the old one - now without a power cord. I sanded the plate. Tried several different paints - grill paint... exhaust header paint... ceramic POR15... nothing worked very well. The last paint was the 'high temp' paint. That worked OK for a while, but quickly started coming off and sticking to the bottom of the carafe. Then I was seasoning my cast iron pans one day and it occurred to me that the same approach might help with this thing. I coated the plate with the same oil that I use on the cast iron pans and then turned the coffee pot on with no carafe. It cooled and sealed. I do this every few weeks now. Keeps the rust down, and seems to stop the paint from coming off onto the carafe. UPDATE Jan 2020 I have been 'seasoning' the warming plate, trying various oils - grapeseed; olive; canola; PAM (spray can - I think it's canola). PAM seems to work the best. It's been weeks and it's still nice and smooth, not sticky, not glaring brown rust, and the 'burning oil' smell didn't last too long. I wish they'd used stainless steel on this plate.
Only reason for the 3 stars is that now I have to find a replacement carafe or buy a new machine.... I have only had it for 3 weeks!!! All I was doing is filling it up and after hearing and feeling a little tiny pop, water was streaming out of the bottom!! Yes, I was using cold water. No, the carafe was not hot or warm. Needless to say, I had to go to the nearest Walmart to buy a new coffee maker. I do love the machine, but not sure if I can find a replacement, the company does not sell them. You would think they would. When you go to their web page you can email about replacements, but you have to have the order #, the model #, the part # well guess what? It's a glass decanter, it doesn't have a part # !! Here is to hoping I can find one.
The carafe arrived broken and the manufacturer has not responded to my emails or calls asking how to get another.
Lid was flopping around right out of the box. Had one of these for years and it worked flawlessly but the new one wasn't put together properly so it's going back.
For starters... just look at the pics I uploaded! This coffee press is stunning! It matched perfectly with my kitchen, too. I have to be honest; I always use an automatic coffee maker set on a timer, so I have a freshly brewed cup every morning. But... I did give this French press a try, and it worked flawlessly. It worked so well that I plan to use it on the weekends when I have more time to make coffee. What I love about this press is the size. I can brew up to 4 cups of coffee if I have company over. The 4-level filtration system kept all the grains in the press with not a speck in my coffee cup. Overall, I'm in love with this coffee press. It's elegantly designed and makes great coffee. Highly recommended!
I plan to return it. It’s beautiful, compact and buttons are self-explanatory but the coffee is moody in terms of how strong it comes out even when I keep the same settings (strong/10). Also, on the first brew, the cover flushed nicely, now it remains partially open sprinkling coffee around. I am very disappointed because a friend recommended it. I’ll have to return it.
We received this product. Upon attempting to use it for heating water to test the unit, it didn’t work as expected. 12 ounces of water was used as that is the max it holds in the heating tank. When the water is heating it overflows from the filling reservoir. The unit then brews only the remaining water which is about 2 ounces. We attempted to return to coffeemakers.us.com for this defect but were 1 day out of window. We then proceeded to obtain a refund with the manufacturer which is in China. They have offered a replacement however this first one burned my husband, almost burned me and almost ruined our RV countertop due to very hot water spilling outside the unit. I am afraid a replacement may do the same thing. We prefer a refund to buy a different brand. We hoped this product worked due to the low wattage that could be used in an RV. Beware if you purchase and yours doesn't work as expected. We waited to test ours until we went camping but should have tested prior due to the return policy expiring wit coffeemakers.us.com. coffeemakers.us.com beware this is a burn hazard due to very hot water spilling over the top of the unit filling reservoir. UPDATE: Seller refunded cost. They offered a replacement upgraded unit. Will consider this due to the excellent customer service. Updated review to 4 stars for Customer service. Waiting on replacement as of 17Sep2024.
Display is messed up after only a few months of use. You can't read anything anymore...don't know which cup size, can't select strong coffee, can't even shut the thing off anymore. What a WASTE of money!
Awesome little espresso maker for the money. It looks really nice and doesn’t take up much space at all. It takes Nespresso original pods, at least that’s what I’ve been using. It brews really fast and it is very quiet as well. If you like espresso at home but don’t want to spend a fortune go for this one. It works well and makes a super fast cup of espresso. 5/5!
I bought one of these coffee makers and it got damaged after a short time of use. I contacted the brand and they were very kind and sent me a brand new one at no cost! It works very well and now I can have a delicious coffee anywhere! super recommended!
I’ve had this baby for 3 days now and it works beautifully. Good to have a great cup of coffee in the morning.
I just cannot say enough good things about this product. My first impression out of the box is that it is attractive and well made. Within minutes of having it out of the box, I had a café latte going at full speed. It is just that easy. Once you load all the ingredients, you have a delicious coffee house creation of your own in a matter of a few minutes. So far, I have only made Café latte. I have some coconut milk and cannot wait to make a coconut latte. This machine makes fantastic hot chocolate too. The best thing I have found besides the awesome lattes is the fact that everything you make comes out piping hot, which is a great benefit I think. I posted a couple of pictures of my first batch of café latte for your viewing pleasure. If you do purchase this machine, which I highly recommend, please be sure to buy either the paper filters or the reusable filter. The machine does come with approximately five filters to get you started, but if you are like me, that just only last me two days. Even if coffee is something you do not care for, you can also use this item to make tea lattes. Chai tea would be a great thing to make a latte with. Cleanup is a breeze and I have no issue with not being able to place the carafe in the dishwasher. It has to be hand washed and I do so immediately after each use.
Heats up water quickly, easy to clean, water is always hot until I turn it off which is nice for the on the coffee/Tea! I don’t have to wait until it heats up! Definitely recommend
