I’m just a little confused about the filter, it loses a lot of coffee grounds into the coffee.

Update: There's a nozzle in the bottom that can loosen over time. You just have to tighten it and you're good. Been about a year since I last tightened the nozzle and no leaks. 10/10 After two months of use, the carafe started leaking all over my fridge. Very disappointing since the coffee this system makes is very good. Hoping customer service can make this right So I can update this review in the future

I love the idea of this coffee maker (one appliance instead of three on my counter), but it just has so many flaws. 1. Buttons - the buttons need to be double clicked - once to wake it up and once to select Brew or Off. Guests think they are brewing coffee but really they only woke it up, so no coffee until you realize it's doing nothing. 2, Dials - the dial to select the Kcup or Espresso is sensitive. If you press it wrong, it will change the size or change to Water. It should click rather than spin so freely. 3. Kcup inconsistent results. The Kcups explode out the top on occasion. Cheap or expensive, it doesn't matter. It's happened at least 4 times now with different mfgs of them. I think it happens when the water tank if full and the pressure of the water explodes the Kcup. I've tried double piercing the bottom and the top but it doesn't work. Even when it doesn't explode the cup always has grounds in it. 4. Hard to clean the Kcup dispenser - so when it does explode or even just when it squirts water all around the top, there are so many crevices that the grounds get in that cleaning it is a nightmare. The coffee tastes fine and it makes a nice pot of coffee but if you're making more kcups than pots of coffee, be warned.

I have had this little machine for three days. First off, I was excited to get it for my classroom. It is convenient and looked durable. I made the first cup and noticed grinds were everywhere! I thought, may it was just the way I put it in. I adjusted it, the same. I didn't worry anymore with it on a Friday afternoon. This morning I tried two cups and had the same issues again. I promptly contacted customer service who informed that this is an ongoing issue and has issued me a refund. This is ridiculous. Do not buy this product. Unless that is, you enjoy the feeling of grinds between your teeth.

  • I like the size and everything else about this product. Returning and requesting a replacement.

Great design, heavy duty metal, seems like a very solid item however, the plunger knob was bent when received. :( Item sent back to be replaced.

Hello. I purchased this in January but didn't open it until May of this year. Following all directions it worked well for two months. Then today for some reason coffee started pouring out a seem from the control lid. I don't feel I got my $80 worth from this machine. Hopefully in the future Vinci can address and fix this flaw with their machine.

  • Got this little honey, took it out of the box, washed it and started making coffee. Followed the directions to the letter for the first brew, the 30 minute cycle makes very strong coffee, which I like. I’m enjoying a cup right now. Put the grounds cup in the carafe. Fill the carafe with water to the line, place it on the base and start the whirlpool (about half way on the knob). Pour in the coffee. As the coffee wets turn up the speed and brew for the desired time. After brewing, let it stand for about 5 minutes for the grounds to settle. The filter press has this clip in the bottom, this is designed to engage the cup full of grounds to remove it after brewing. When you lift the press handle back up, the cup of grounds comes up with it. Dump the grounds, rinse everything out and you’re ready to brew again. I spent a little over an hour and brewed enough coffee for a few days. The carafe is glass so don’t drop it. I filtered the coffee through a funnel with a paper towel to remove the last of the grit. Happy brewing! I was concerned about the price but it’s worth every penny. As with all cold brewers, it only makes a small amount of coffee per brew, hence the 4 stars.

It's missing a lid to the pot. It's dirty and covered in coffee grounds. Still wet from previous use.

I like the build and looks of this one, is the third French Press I own and by far is the best option, resistant and makes great brew.

3/1/18 update: Now that I've used this for a few weeks, I wish the water cover was connected to the unit like all our others. It is an odd shape in the first place and it has flown out of mine and my daughter's hands because of the awewardness and it's not connected to the base. I'm thinking of putting a piece of clear shipping tape on it to save us from chasing it. lol It's in my home office where most people don't go, so I'll likely do that over the weekend.its annoying and when you set it on top of the machine that's not flat, it slides off. Not a good design overall for such a name brand, although the coffee is delicious, hot and it's fast. I found several times that I turn it on, put in my coffee pod, choose bold, my ounces, and it doesn't work. I need to go back to the coffee maker, lift the pod lid, close it and start it again. I'm not sure why, but turn it on, select bold, put in the pod, close it, put your cup below, then press your ounces. I like that it holds at least 3-4 coffee cups (large size) per water tank fill.

This coffee maker works fine. Makes great coffee. My problem with it is when you put the pot in the dishwasher, of course you put it on the top shelf upside down. Water gets under the top plastic ring that goes around the top to hold the handle...so when you take the pot out and turn it upright...the water comes slowly dripping out and it takes awhile, so you can't use it again right away. Otherwise I've had no problems.

Really cool little gadget. Well made and easy to use. Has a nice feel to it but not too heavy, can’t wait to take it camping next week!

It constantly leaks. I put it on the counter top with just water and 20 minutes later there is a puddle about 4 inches wide (imagine that on your refrigerator shelf overnight). Otherwise, it does make a good cold brew concentrate. Easy to clean.

The product works fine for making cold brew or teas. The item was damaged when delivered because the item is made out of cheap plastic. However, for the price this is an awesome option.
