Let me preface this by saying that I have never owned one of the costlier pod coffee makers. I have always gotten the less expensive single serve units that did not have the bells and whistles, and tended to die on me within a short amount of time. This is my first experience with a higher quality coffee maker and I am in love. It comes with everything you need for K-cups or ground coffee, and can brew hot or cold in a variety of different cup sizes. You can also use the different trays to accommodate cup size. The seller includes a magnetic cup holder for use on the side, which does stick nicely. I probably will not use it because I have little counter space and I already have a K-cup carousel. But, it's a nice touch if you need it. You also get a quick start guide and a cold brew recipe booklet. The water container is removable and holds up to 40 oz of water. You can program the unit to only brew the amount required for your cup of coffee and it saves the 8, 10 or larger ounce settings until you change it, even when it's powered off and back on. My first cup of hot brew was excellent. I haven't tried the cold yet, but so far, I love this.

  • Makes coffee pretty fast the frother isn't so easy I can't drink milk so used coconut milk wouldn't froth

  • Beautiful and functional. Watch out for the wooden lid - it warped immediately and I can see cracks forming after several months of use. 😿

I fill mine up every Sunday night and I get 3 to 4 cups out of it.

Nothing bad to say about the coffee maker but if black is what you are wanting then don't think this is it. It is supposed to be matte black but it looks grey next to my black toaster and black backsplash. I will send it back and look for something more black.

Very poorly made. Lid broke as soon as I opened it. I am returning it.

  • As you can see, it, just not come in a gift giving box, but it is heavyweight and insulated. With hot coffee inside it does not feel very warm on the outside. Husband said it taste the same as coffee through our Keurig. He is taking this to work where he can make coffee easily.

  • Love the percolator- just be careful of the handle. I burned myself on the metal divots on the wooden handle- they get hot. Other than that, lovely item.

I believe the people that shipped this unit may have used it for a cup or two prior to boxing it up. There was some type of black residue in the cylinder. Also, there were dents around the rim.

  • UPDATE: the seller wrote this and contacted me. I am still trying to understand why as they did not offer to do anything. Just WEIRD! In April I bought one and was thrilled. I gave it as a gift and ordered one for me. Well, what a disappointment! The second to arrive - the top was full of circular scratches - it looked like it had been scrubbed with a stainless steel pad - it should not have looked like that. And worse, the lid did not fit. It rattled and separated from the carafe ensuring that liquid would leak. This item has to be returned and as I live in South America, that is impossible - too expensive. What a battle I had with what is becoming a lousier coffeemakers.us.com customer service. THe first was perfect, the second looked used or like a "seconds". If you get a good one you are lucky, don't tempt your luck.

  • This little carafe makes really great coffee for someone who likes a mild tasting non-bitter, non-acidic taste. This little carafe is well designed and easy to use. Filter is easy to clean once I realized that the bottom screws off for easy cleaning😉. I usually fill the filter with 4 tbs of ground coffee then attach to the carafe and fill with water. The carafe brews sitting out on the counter or in the fridge. I keep the cold brewed coffee in another jar in the refrigerator so the carafe is free to brew more insuring that I never run out of delicious coffee for my daily homemade iced coffee. I never buy expensive coffees out anymore. I don't even feel tempted to buy one out because the coffee I make at home now is far better than anything my local cafe's offer. Now I laugh at all the chumps in line at Starbucks waiting to pay $7 for overly strong, bitter coffee. Not today, Satan!

I have now gone through THREE DIFFERENT Cuisinart DCC-4000 Coffee Makers because each one has randomly stopped working. Each time, the customer service people at Cuisinart have given me patronizing trouble-shooting tips like "try a different outlet" and "unplug and replug." Yep. Already tried many of those obvious moves. Nothing worked. So because they didn't know what was wrong, they've sent me a replacement coffee maker each time. 1. I bought my first Cuisinart DCC-4000 Coffee Maker is July. I brewed 3 pots of coffee, then it stopped working for no reason. It took Cuisinart about a month to send me a replacement. 2. My second Cuisinart DCC-4000 Coffee Maker worked for about 8 pots of coffee. Then of course, it stopped working. Same issue as before. Nobody could figure out what was wrong. Obviously, since I lost faith in the brand and the product, I asked for a refund but Cuisinart refused. So I begged them to please just send me a working coffeemaker this time. 3. So now my third replacement Cuisinart DCC-4000 Coffee Maker arrived. It's the end of November. I got 2 pots of coffee and like clockwork, IT STOPPED WORKING AGAIN. Nobody at Cuisinart can tell me why. I've been dealing with this defective coffee maker now for 5 MONTHS. It's been the biggest inconvenience. I have no idea how Cuisinart is able to keep this product on the market. It feels like I'm being scammed. Whatever you do, DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT.

This is pretty decent coffee maker for such a small size. I'm surprised that it has some features that are often found in more expensive version of coffee makers such as auto stop spout when the pot is not on the warmer. It does a good job making and brewing coffee and does not require a college degree to figure out how to use. Just fill the reservoir with water and flip the switch then wait for it to finish. It shuts itself off 2 hours after you flip the switch so you don't have to worry about dry boiling the coffee. The unit does get hot while in use so make sure there's nothing on top or near the machine when operational. The only downside and the sole reason i'm taking one star away is the price. This should not cost this much for such a basic coffee maker.

It’s awesome for my fiancé. He’s the only one drinking coffee

  • I'm literally glued to this coffee maker as I also use it for hot water (for my tea) and ramen cooker. It brews really fast! I took it to the windy beach of Port Aransas and it heated up the water/brewed coffee without any issue. Built solid (except the plastic coffee holder- I'm super gentle in handling it). Looking forward to many more glamping with this bad boy.
