Makes good coffee, but hot steam comes out the top if you mistakingly open it too soon.
I have had this Keurig Compact for a little more than 6 weeks and am very satisfied with my purchase. It brews a piping hot rich cup of coffee every time. Don’t listen to the reviews complaining that it is loud. It’s brewing! It’s going to make some noise. Have you ever walked into a Starbucks? That’s the sound, all you hear is coffee brewing! I received this just in time for Thanksgiving. I was like a Barista brewing K cup Cappuccinos and Lattes. We all love it. Compact size, full flavor. Enjoy!
Excellent espresso maker and top notch customer service. Purchased this unit several months ago and have really enjoyed it since. Last week it started throwing an error which I got concerned about but I contacted customer service who walked me through correcting the issue and promptly sent me out a part I needed to replace, no cost, no hassle. Great product with a great company to stand behind it.
This is one of those items you see everywhere but it's perfect if you don't want to go through the hassle of shopping in the store to purchase. I just recently purchased some expensive coffee so I wanted to give it a shot with the french press twist. I was definitely not disappointed. It made my coffee taste amazing. I had been seeing french presses at several stores and meaning to try them but never purchased. Once I got this new coffee, I needed a reason. This press is sturdy and has great quality. It's not glass, which is ok with me since I don't want to risk it breaking easily. I also love the added mess to the bottom to help with an added layer of strained coffee grounds. Overall, it's a great buy, especially since it came straight to my doorstep!
Jug broke while cleaning. Had less than 3 weeks. The glass is very thin, likely a manufacturing issue
We really wanted a coffee maker that we can use with a travel mug or a coffee pot. This one works perfectly for that! Anytime you use the cup/mug (travel) setting the warmer plate automatically turns off, so you can stick your mug on the plate without it heating. This is a 20oz mug and the 18oz rich travel setting fills perfectly. This is our second ninja coffee maker and we had good luck with the first. We changed because of the travel mug setting. I would recommend this maker!
I absolutely love this things. One of the things that I always do, is look at the bad reviews when I’m searching for new items. A lot of the bad reviews say that the 12oz options seems watered down, but I disagree. I like my coffee med/strong, but went ahead and bought dark coffee k-cups… & they were strong! I ended up going back to my normal medium-dark k-cups and it was perfect! Love the iced feature! One of the things I was unsure about, is how I can add sugar to my iced coffee, so what I do is I add the ice to my cup and then put the sugar on top of the ice, so that when the hot coffee hits it, it can dissolve. I had a $200 Braun coffee maker before this one, but if I had to choose between the 2, this would definitely be it!
Meliita ad doesn't mention it only fits # 2 filters ! (I needed it to fit # 4 filters) I also was unable to open "incorrect product info" link to notify coffeemakers.us.com of this issue
Had for 1.5yrs. Nice to have hot water for tea at a push of a button. Coffee works well most of the time. Not easy to clean. If you don't get the coffee basket in just right (must align little black rubber tab on right side of pic in coffee filter area) it will drip coffee all over the place. A segment is now dead on LCD display. You must call customer service if you need help, they do not handle tech support over email. The took 4 days to respond to tell me this, in the mean time I had figured out my issue on my own. I took off 1 star for this, otherwise 3/5 machine, I am not sure how long it will last.
Genuinely love this. I am not picky about coffee in general, and I got this because I thought it would be FUN and it IS. It's not terrible to clean, but you do have to wait for it to cool down. It's not exceptional coffee--it's about what you'd get from a french press--but it's fine. A couple things: It doesn't come with alcohol fuel, so you'll need to get some, and it comes with only one cloth filter, which you may or may not use. There is not a way to change how long the coffee (or tea! You can also do tea!) steeps, but overall I do enjoy this thing a lot. It's terribly impractical but I didn't expect it to be practical in the first place.
I wanted to find an appliance that allowed me to create my own nitro cold brew at home, at a fraction of the cost. We all know we can go to our major coffee chain to buy coffee, but that adds up. I purchased this so I could make my own at home. I was definitely pleased and surprised by how easy it is. I took a photo of everything that comes with it - as you can see, there are cleaning brushes, ample tubing, and the parts are well made. The metal parts feel heavy and high quality, which makes me feel glad I purchased it. As I put everything together, I realized how well machined everything was - the parts just fit together so well. You'll want to order the nitro capsules separately, since they do not come with this machine. I just purchased the Whip it cartridges from coffeemakers.us.com. I put my own coffee into the keg, tapped the capsule, and tried it out. It tastes like the major coffee chain...only better! I'm going to save money doing this myself, but now I can add my own custom brews into the keg whenever I feel like it. I drink a lot of coffee so I will drink the entire keg in a day . If you want to save some for the second day, the nitro isn't as robust. Just something to think about. Overall, I love this thing - it also looks really nice on my kitchen counter too. And it will help me save money and not go to the big chains anymore!
Update: Owner contacted me and took care of the problem. What a fair and caring company!!! My previous post was I Nearly almost cut my hand washing it when a big chunk of glass broke off. I always use a baby bottle brush to wash it and always hand washed all parts. I never dropped it. I am shocked after a few months a piece of glass would snap off. Very disappointed!
We've had this machine about 6 months and are enjoying it. It looks good on the counter and fit our space well. I like having the analog dial to select a size, and there is a nifty 'drip stop' lever to keep the bottom heating plate clean. Even if you forget the lever, the heating plate wipes up really nicely. I also like that the water reservoir lifts out and has a replaceable filter so I can fill it at the sink or from the filtered fridge water directly and just set it back in the maker to run. If you use the replaceable filter, run the machine *several* times after first installing the pod before making a real pot of coffee (the first time we did this we ran it only twice and thought the first coffee tasted off, even after presoaking the filter as per the instructions). My favorite part is that they've figured out the right, piping hot temperature for the coffee. It tastes great and stays wonderfully heated for a long time (hours). There's even a handy timer that displays after the run that let's you know how fresh the pot is (within the first hour).
Everything was great until i took it out of the box and then I noticed a crack in the bottom by the burner/heater.... it's a lot of money for a cracked BUNN coffee maker..
