I bought this to replace one that broke after years of use. The newer model was dead on arrival. The glass had a large crack in it, so I ordered a replacement. The replacement arrived and appeared to be of good quality. The design flaw is that the metal frame does not securely hold the glass in place so that when you go to pour out the coffee or empty the grounds, the glass part just slides out and could easily fall and break if you are not vigilant. My previous Bodum used to hold the glass securely in place. That said, it makes a nice cup of coffee. The size is just right for my use -- one mug of coffee in the morning. In February of 2024 the glass broke on my most recent purchase of this item, so I ordered another one. coffeemakers.us.com advertized one "like new" from the warehouse, so I ordered it. Unfortunately, the plastic coffee filter in the top lid was damaged (see photo) so I have to return it for a return. It looks like a manufacturing defect in molding the plastic filter correctly.

It was great, until it wasn’t—I’ve had this coffee pot for a couple of weeks, and last week it stopped keeping the coffee hot. I did some troubleshooting and the performance is tied to a broken seal — stopped keeping the coffee hot. It has a dark bubble on the lower part of the pot at the seal line. I while it everyday, but the bubble comes back Now what?

  • Obtained this glass pitcher to add to the collection of sturdy, glass, volume marked containers that I have. This container is just as good as the others. The glass is well made, sturdy, and easy to read the volume markets. The thick plastic screw top lid with cap and handle is easy to wash and does not bend even when the container is absolutely full. Container is great for the fridge to store brewed coffee, tea, or anything else you make at home or need to pour from other containers. Verdict: recommend this product, no issues.

I bought this to replace my 13-year-old Hamilton Beach. One requirement was the thermal carafe, which this model has. I also prefer a cone-style filter system, which this has as well. It keeps the coffee hot for the amount of time I need, but there is one major flaw: the lid backs up quite a bit, making a huge mess on my counter top. It doesn't matter how much or how little I make, or if I pull it mid-brew to pour a cup. The result is the same: the coffee simply won't drain through consistently into the carafe, and ends up running all over the place.

  • Check the pictures. I’m using a 1:18 coffee to water ratio, by weight. This closely aligned to using the provided scoop if you don’t have a scale. Problem is there be basket doesn’t leave enough room between spray head and coffee grounds. Huge design mistake in my opinion and I’m very disappointed. You can’t disassemble to clean it either. I’m just confused as to how this could be. It’s unfortunate to because it makes a good cup of coffee. It’s easy to use and clean other than the spray head. I’m also confused how the SCAA could certify it... did they brew a pot of coffee?

I love it! For the milk frother, you must ensure its lid is pushed on tightly after placement. I like that it has the ability to “self-clean” the frother. Updating my post to 3 stars because if you still have milk in your brother and run a clean cycle; it somehow manages to add water to your milk.

  • Makes my coffee perfect if I want a cup or a pot! Easy to clean.

It's interesting that the name ("Sboly") has been removed from the product picture and title - magic? I was a very nice little thermal pot (no hot plate to burn the coffee), but the pump stopped working this morning after only 6 months of service. Junk.

  • I grabbed these two pot to replace 2 very old stained coffee pots. They seem like they will hold up fine. Time will tell as these pots will see daily use! Will update!

  • Glass busted after one use when pouring hot water into it. If i could a 0 star review i would.

  • This is a very nice and elegant commercial coffee maker. Top of the class. It comes with 3 glass coffee pots, cleaner, filters the filter holder and the instruction manual. Already comes put together so all you have to do it take it out of the box and plug it in and whalah! You have coffee. It keeps 3 pots of coffee warm to serve a large number of guests. It is a great value!

I've been using this beautiful brewer for years, my old one recently broke so I bought this one. Chemex has truly transformed my coffee experience. Unlike traditional coffee machines, the Chemex brings out the full flavors and aromas of the beans, allowing me to savor every sip. The elegant design not only looks stunning on my countertop but also enhances the brewing process. The pour-over method gives me complete control over the water flow, ensuring an even extraction. The result? A clean, rich cup of coffee that's simply unmatched. Whether I’m brewing for guests or enjoying a quiet morning alone, the Chemex consistently delivers a delicious brew. If you're serious about your coffee, ditch the machine and invest in a Chemex. You won't regret it!

I have to admit. Customer service was punctual in responding to my call. However, the listing says : BEC-110-BS and as you can see in the picture, I recieved the BE-110-BS. The one I received is not the countertop version like it is listed. The listing is wrong

We've had this coffee maker for a few months and I really like it. It took quite a few pots to get the settings right. We like really strong coffee but I find if you make the brew strength a little less for the amount of water you're using it works the best. We leave ours set on 10 cups and brew strength 3 but put 12 cups of water. Also, a regular grocery store coffee filter does not work. You'll have grounds in your coffee every time. You're not supposed to use the gold basket and a filter. So I found that a commercial sized filter hanging over the edges a little bit keeps the filter from falling down and the grounds from getting into the pot. Also, when you have to clean out the top part under the grinder, it's best to remove the top piece above the filter and scrape the extra grounds into the used filter.
