This is so cool. Absolutely best in it's price range. What makes it even better is to combine it with a FloJet BW 4000 water pump https://www.coffeemakers.us.com.com/gp/product/B005IGO192/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and a OCC 36 WET Coffee Cart from All State Mfg. Co. plus a full 5 gallon water bottle. Now you have great coffee, using bottled water, when you want it where you want it with no water mess. Marian and Duane had the entire set up up and running in less than 20 minutes. Good job girls!
I enjoy a nice espresso in the afternoon. I tried a cheap machine and was frustrated with how poorly and slowly it worked. I decided to upgrade and got this TC-520 model from Mcilpoog to test. I am quite pleased with this. It's simple but has a lot of adjustable settings. I know I need to continue working on my skills to improve the quality of my espresso, but this machine has made it easy (and fast) to get some really good espresso. I wish they had included some advice for how to get the best results or included a link to a good how-to video (instead of a sales-type video). They show you how to use it and the multiple settings, but not how to best dial in those settings for your style. So, I will keep tweaking things as I learn. I am super happy with this. It has definitely elevated my espresso to something I completely enjoy and I'm comfortable sharing with friends. I'm not an expert, but I am completely satisfied with this and would recommend to friends. A buddy was over and has a big-named brand machine and really was impressed with the digital display and options this machine has--as well as how much quieter the grinder is than his. This does pull a bunch of power when it starts up: around 1,190 Watts. Once it's warm and waiting for you to start, it drops to around 3 Watts in standby. Grinding used about 850 Watts and brewing varied but was in the 1,200 Watt range. I let my power meter record the power usage for a warm up, grind, and brew which came to 0.053 kWh. If my calculations are correct, that's roughly $0.01 to make a double shot of espresso--far less than the price of the beans. It does include the accessories shown: sturdy 58 mm double-brew spout portafilter, spare 58 mm portafilter basket, frothing pot, nice solid stainless steel tamper, spoon, brush, and manual water pump. The water tank is large and easy to fill. The filter basket is hard to remove from the portafilter as they fit very tightly together. You can adjust the brew temperature, grind fine/coarseness, grind time, pre-brew water amount and time, and the size of single and double shots. It has a maximum of 60 ml for one shot and 120 ml for the double shot. I have not used the steaming wand, since I only drink espresso. The highest pressure reading during brewing has been 6 bar. I'm not sure how that relates to my technique and settings. My only challenge so far is that the grinds are really wet after brewing (could be my technique) and even after drying are hard to pound out cleanly on my knock box. I am really enjoying this machine and the excellent espresso I've been drinking.
Ok, first there is a little tiny bit of cleanup. I left out that you have to toss out the K-CUP when it has cooled off. did my best to get your attention. The coffee maker is a one cup very fast coffee brewer that uses the common K-CUPS or if you prefer your own brew. You can use the included adapter for making coffee of your very own. Did I add it is very fast, yes, it is. Like Really Fast. The whole coffee maker only takes up about the space of an average hand laid onto the countertop. It is really small. The maker also has a reminder when it is time to descale , so no worries and no hoping you're doing it right. I feel it is a great value for the money, and is very, very easy to use, and very quiet, no problems waking up your partner when you just have to have the coffee in the morning. All you have to do is fill the reservoir with the amount of water for your particular cup and in less than a minute you have your brew ready.
I love this French press. I have a very small kitchen, small house as well, and I really don’t have room for a coffee maker, and I got tired of getting my coffee maker out every day, so I decided to try a French press. I love French press coffee, but never tried it myself. I am now a French press coffee convert. It is so easy, and since I ordered the 34 ounce size, it is perfect for a morning cup of coffee for myself and my parents. The French press is very easy to clean and very easy to use. I much prefer using this French press than my previous pour over coffee maker.
Mr. Coffee 12-Cup Coffee Maker, Black !!! This is to replace the old one that was 16 years old. What can be said, great coffee, stays hot... It is hard to find a simple coffee maker that will last for a long time ... I HAD TO REPLACE IT BECAUSE I DROPPED IT, IT WAS STILL WORKING AFTER 16 YEARS ....
This is the perfect solution for someone looking for consistent coffee on the road or looking to take their favorite coffee camping. The instructions are clear and the unit is pretty intuitive. Compact and fits in its little taste for a very portable package. The unit even cleans up easily. Really a great little package, far better built than I would have expected. Feels like it will last a long time.
The unit is used 2-3x wk. Coffee ground course & added to filter unit. Intake tube clear. Cleaned aft ea use. Now aft couple of months unit has to be run twice to make Coffee bold. For price I would like unit to operate properly for much longer time. Hopefully pump issue can be resolved.
Makes one to four servings hot or cold quickly. A beast with loose leaf tea. Do not waste time with any cold brewer. Make shots, refrigerate, serve hot or cold drinks. Clutch for travel. You need one or three. Every morning I make fresh hot coffee for my girl and I. There was a learning curve. At first I made the usual mistakes. Look up the inventor on YouTube. His recipe is a good starting point. At first I would make a moka first thing, Aeropress was too fiddly for me right off. Six months later the Aeropress is my go to.
so, i stupidly tried to dump the grounds out into the trashcan without holding onto the glass, and it slipped out of the plastic and broke. akso, the lid broke last week. where the spout is, the lift gate hatch spring thingy snapped off... bought in april. trash in july
I like this single-serve coffee pot because that’s all the coffee I can drink. I hate to brew a full or even half a pot when I only ever drink one cup. Coffee is expensive. I will save money and a bag of ground coffee will last me much longer with this setup. I like that I can use the travel mug or my mug at home. The permanent filter is a pleasant surprise. That’s a great feature to have. I can see myself packing this and taking it on the go. There’s no glass to break like traditional coffee pots. Thats nice. I’m impressed. This would make a nice gift for a college student or for travelers.
Great idea poorly executed and manufactured. The filter is then only part that works as advertised
Mr. Coffee JWX9 5-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, Black with Stainless Steel Carafe What a piece of junk. I even upgraded to the Steel Carafe which is cheap as well. Most of the Black paint came off the pot warmer and is now mostly silver now. I have stayed away from Mr. Coffee for years and have been using a BUNN. Thank goodness I still have it. I hope the people that sell this item actually read the reviews because they should send me a new one! I doubt if this review will ever get posted anyway... Anyone thinking of purchasing this should thank me for saving them the time of going to their trash can to throw it out. Also if you overfill even little, the water goes all over your counter top and well get everything drenched. I can't say enough bad things about this product.
I use a French press for 15 years now, the reason I bought this is because I dropped the one I had for 15 years. This morning I made my coffee and pressed down and the press broke only after a year and a half of use! Luckily I have a stand by so I could get my coffee fix.
I have used the machine for both coffee and espresso for a few days and think it does it's job well. My dissatisfaction comes from the plastic water tank which arrived damaged (see photo on the left) in two places including a rather sharp edge. Although coffeemakers.us.com support was adamant that they could not replace only the water tank, they were very helpful and sent me a new machine. Upon opening the second machine, I found the EXACT SAME damage (see photo on the right). Obviously a problem with materials, packaging, or both.
Great in theory. Lines go up to 24oz and 800ml which is 27oz then maybe you get 28 if you fill to the top...
